Maria jumped a mile as a man who looked just like the boy who'd let her in the castle opened the door she was stamding before. "I-I swear, Mister, I'm allowed to be here! Um a guy let me in-he k-kinda looked like you! I'm sorry I-I didn't mean to be snooping!"

Luke closed the door behind him as he approached Maria. "That would be my son. But he is of no concern to you. We have to have a little chat." he said, grabbing Maria by the ear and leading her to Anya. This was getting the wolf a little mad. He knew he saw a spirit and this girl looked like his wife. Meaning she was his daughter. But there was a darkness about her. And that made him uneasy, and protective of Kuro.

[OOC:] That is a funny visual XD Maria yelped a little when the man grabbed her ear, and squeezed her eyes shut in panic and pain. He must have figured out what she was when the spirit went into the room.
Anya looked up at Luke's arrival and raised her eyebrows at viewing the girl he had by the ear. "Jeeze, I just thought you might wanna see her, not hurt the poor kid!" the faerie exclaimed standing at staring at the two people before her.

Luke released the girl's ear, pointing to a chair, meaning he wanted Maria to sit. He closed the door behind him before looked to Anya. "She has the soul of my daughter. I want to know just what she is." the wolf said, looking to the faerie. He really needed her help. If he could somehow get his daughter back, that'd bring Kaya closer to him. And give Kuro someone to talk to and have confidence in sharing his secrets.

Maria did as she was commanded, rubbing her ear as she did so. Anya rolled her eyes at Luke. "Only one creature in this world can possess souls. They're scientific name is Karisthen, but the more common term is soul-stealer. But, soul-stealers don't look like this, so either she's legitimally your daughter or she has some explaining to do."

Luke looked to the girl. "We need you to talk to us. You have the soul of my daughter and you look just like my wife. Now please answer me. Are you a soul-stealer?" the wolf asked, watching the girl. He hoped he could have this other child. Technically it was his child to begin with, but he still wanted to know if this was truly Kaya's child. He would welcome her with open arms. But not a soul-stealer...

Maria gulped as he two sets of eyes turned to her. All this talk about his daughter's soul... And she looked like his wife... And after all, she knew her mother wasn't her birth mother... With trembling fingers, she pulled off her necklace and released the same soul as earlier. To her, it was in its raw animal form, but to the others it appeared as the person it had been stolen from.
Anya frowned, perplexed. "So you've demonstrated that you're a soul stealer. But how is it that you aren't stitched up? And why does this soul look like you? How long have you been a soul stealer?" the faerie asked.
Maria gulped a little. "My mom is a soul-stealer so she can't have kids. She told me my parents died so she took me in. I've been a soul stealer all my life, but we think I grow and heal the stitches because my parents were magic or something..."

Luke watched as the spirit was released again and the girl answered Anya's question. Magic? No. "Or demon." the wolf said, transforming into his other form, as if to demonstrate. His large wolf form was as red as it always had been, but it was starting to get streaks of silver, to show its age. The wolf sat and began to speak. "We demons heal quickly from injuries. Cheetahs are notorious for it. Us wolves, not so much, but we still share the same ability."

Maria eyes the wolf cheetah hybrid before her. Well that explained the soul's origin but what did that have to do with her? "Look, I'm sorry if this is your kid's soul, but my mom stole this one. So she's probably long gone. Sorry. This has nothing to do with me."

Luke changed back and shook his head. "Then it was your mother who stole my daughter from the arms of my dying wife. My wife died after having my son. And she had birthed a daughter before him. I never got to see my daughter. But you have her soul. This has everything to do with you."

"Well that's where you're wrong. I don't actually posess this soul, since my mother stole it. It's only on loan to me to find its twin. So really, you just want my mother." Maria defended, crossing her arms and staring between the two people before her.
"Luke, you keep saying she just has the soul of your daughter. But from everything she's said, it appears that she herself is your daughter! She looks just like Kaya, and the soul looks just like her!"

Luke growled a little at the girl before turning to Anya. True she had the soul. She had the body, but she still wasn't his daughter. If she was his daughter, then the soul and body would be one, she'd be everything Kaya was. But right now all she had was the looks. The wolf simply went for the door. "I'm going to find the other soul stealer."

Luke wouldn't have to go far to find the other creature. She was waiting outside of the castle, not close enough to be seen, but close enough to be smelt.

Luke indeed sensed the being. He changed into his wolf form and crept up on the soul-stealer. Once he was close enough behind the old stitched woman, he pounced, pinning her to the ground and snarling. He then returned to his human form. "So you're the lowly little insect that took my daughter from me. How dare you." he said quite sharply, ready to kill the creature.

The soul stealer instantly recognized yhe wolf demon as he pounced on her. "I suppose you have interrogated Maria, then?" the woman said in a tired and sorrowful tone. "I was worried this mission would take her away from me."
