Kuro heard the knocker on the main door. He quietly closed the window he had been staring out of and went to the door. The young prince opened the heavy wooden door to see a pretty girl standing there. Sure she was pretty, but Kuro just opened the door for her, being taught to be a gentleman. That and he was able to sense it was about to rain. She'd need to get inside.
But to a soul-stealer, who could see the souls of the living, there was a veritable buffet standing there. The prince's soul was massive and teeming with spiritual energy. His soul was bound to be oh so sweet and tender. Quite mouth-watering, no?

[OOC:] I really should be doing my APUSH homework but this just seems like more fun Maria stood there, pulling jer tattered coat around herself as a slight chill came over her and waiting for someone to open the castle door. As the door swung onward, she noted the appearance of the boy before her. He was clearly of high status, polite, and probably smart. A good pawn for finding what she wanted. As she stepped in, smiling and nodding her thanks, she touched her necklace. It consisted of a brown leather chain and with a little iron ball covered with white-blue crystals. Each crystal was a soul she's stolen. As her fingers brushed he crystals, she was able to see his soul. And what a soul it was! It almost made her mouth water. If she were to befriend this boy, she could take his soul as her mother took her own prize... Well, that's what Maria's first idea was. Until her necklace burned under her fingers. The soul inside that belonged to this boy's sister! That certainly put dissapointment into Maria's mind...

Kuro just studied the girl before shutting the door. He then went to one of the servants and told them to give her a room for the night. The prince didn't want to stick around actually. Though it would ahve been to the utmost of gentlemanly standards, it was getting late, and he had pets to feed and sleep to... well sleep.
So the prince headed to the kitchens and grabbed the food he needed for his pets. Once he ahd the food, he headed up to his room and opened the door. He placed the food out for the animals before laying down in his bed and pulling a warm blanket over him that his grandmother had made. It was out of a warm fur and fall was starting to sink its cool teeth into the night. So the fur kept the little prince nice and toasty. And made him ever so sleepy.

Maria watched the boy as he left, but she couldn't think of why to call him back. But it was lucky for her that she'd found him so quickly. She'd only have to be there a week tops.
As Maria was being led to her room, Anya just happened to pass by. And after a pause and three double takes, she teleported straight to where Luke was. "You have to see something!" she said, grabbing his wrist and teleporting again. They ended up aroind the corner from the room the maid was currently showig the Kaya look alike. She forced Luke to look around the corner at the girl and waited for his reaction.

Luke jumped when Anya suddenly appeared in his room. See something? What was it? He'd find out as she grabbed his wrist, teleported him out of his chair, and made him look around a corner. If it was physically possible, his jaw would ahve hit the floor. "S-She looked exactly like Kaya!!" he whispered to the faerie, wondering who this girl was.

"I know!" Anya whispered. "Luke...When Kuro was born, couldn't you have sworn that there was a cry from a baby before Kuro was actually born? And we never saw thay shaman again... Do you think maybe..."

Luke thought as Anya spoke to him. "That maybe that shaman, stole my son's sister? It's completely possible... Have the servants keep a close eye on her. I need to talk to Kuro." he said to Anya before leaving.

Anya nodded before Luke left and did as he'd asked her. Meanwhile, Maria was wandering around the ginormous room she'd been shown to. She pulled off her jacket and a little furball leaped out, mewling in protest of being in confinement. "I know Piper, but Mom doesn't like when I take you with me," she said, scratching the little cat kn the head.

Luke got to Kuro's room and slowly came in to the prince's room. He smiled softly, finding his son sound asleep. He didn't have the heart to disturb him. The wolf sat down on the bed next to his son and pet his hair softly. Such a good boy he was. Luke sighed some, watching Kuro stir slightly in his sleep. Though the girl looked like Kaya, he didn't want her to get near his son. Even if she may have been Kaya's own daughter, her scent was suspicious to the older wolf, which meant Kuro had to stay away. For his own safety, and because he was all Luke had left of Kaya, for certain that was.

Maria, being bored and not sleepy, pulled off her necklace and ran her fingers over the crystals. Unlike her mother, her inquisitive nature made her curious about the souls she'd captured. She liked to let them out for short times and talk with them. So, she decided she was going to let out the girl's spirit that she had on loan. As the silvery substance leaked from the necklace, a strange shudder ran down Maria's spine, but she just let it go. The soul was a hybrid of a cheetah with small wolf features, and then... It made a run for it. Quickly, Maria threw open the door running after the soul as it carved a path through the hallways. Maria lost sight of it, and the soul phased through the door of one young boy's room, sitting in front of Luke...

Luke was about to blow the candle that was on Kuro's night stand out when he noticed a silver light. He glanced over to see a spirit that looked like the girl that had come to the castle. He swallowed lightly before addressing the spirit. "Excuse me. Miss?" though he kept his voice low. In case anyone was listening.

The spirit looked disoriented and when Luke spoke, it looked at him. "Who are you?Where am I? Who am I?"

Lke hushed the spirit, placing the candle aside. "You are at Castle Mesilici. My name is Luke. I'm a teacher here. I don't know who you are, but please lower your voice. My son is asleep." he said softly, looking to the sleeping boy next to him.

The spirit looked at Kuro as Luke did. Slowly, she reached out a touched his chest. She was careful not to wake him as her hand went right through him. Her eyes glowed brighter for a moment nefore she retracted her hand and looked at Luke. "His name is Kuro. His parents are Luke and Kaya. His sister is me. But who am I?" she asked again in a substantially quieter voice.
Maria finally spotted the silver light of the spirit. She quickly pulled the spirit back, trapping it once more in her necklace.
As Maria stood outside the door, the spirit held its hand out to Luke before beginning to be pulled under the door crack and disappear.

Luke watched the spirit use her power and correctly find out his son's name, his name, and his wife's name. But she was his sister? So there was another baby... The wolf sighed. "If you are his sister, then you are my daughter. Stolen from me and my wife at your birth." he said before seeing her be pulled away under the door. The wolf got up and opened the door to find Maria there. "We need to talk."
