Hey guys, can I get your help?
So I am quickly realizing making Hakora an Illusion type is not what he is.
What are some ideas I can remake him and change his Jikan to make him the embodiment of Despair?
Something to keep in find, his item is the empty zanpaktuo of his murdered Fiance and when it comes to sword fighting he is well known and by some called legendary since he is the only wielder of Hiten_Mitsurugi-ryū. So wielding sword fight is his primary thing.
So this in mind, how can I make Hakora have a Jikan that makes his enemies feel Despair?

Honestly, the best advice I could give you with that is to somehow have the thing cause those who behold it relive some tragedy, but its somewhat like what the Time Rogue of Greed has going on.
Can always get creative. Despair is just a loss of hope. Play with the idea of illusions that cause that. Can be from playing out a scene that could harm them or something close to them, if only mentally.
But like I said, just play with it.

But like I said, just play with it. Well that is what I currently have as his power. He causes illusions like taking someone they hold dear and making them appear and then killing them before their eyes. The only thing is this is passive and Hakora is offensive. So that is where I find myself at a lost for ideas.

Thats the best I got. I'd have to look into Time Rogues in general to better work that out. I was actually given a great idea. His Jikan could be an ability booster. It would still be an illusion type in that it masked Hakora making him appear to not take damage or tire. It also would make him seem a lot more powerful then he really is, even though he is powerful. Basically it would make him appear to be an unstoppable and unbeatable titan and his enemy would lose all hope in victory, despair.

Then it sounds like you've worked it out. Just know illusions are always trumped by a will strong enough to see through it all. Captains will more than likely be able to discern it or simply ignore it. Lieutenants not so much, and lower even worse.
Not only that, but the seemingly handy illusion of not taken damage has to be accounted for. Is it still occurring and simply masked? Is it diverted until the technique runs down? Are they simply fighting an illusion of him? If the latter is true is the entire thing tangible, corporeal?
If they aren't really explained right, it would really simply be Godmodding. Just a tip before I hit the z's.

Indeed, it is a fine line that Jikan will be dancing on. I think it would be a lot like a meth situation. Like he will take pain and all, but his Jikan will help him ignore it. Like a thinking and powerful zombie. I haven't fully worked out the idea, but it makes sense.
