Hey Kegan, you apparently don't pronounce "deity" quite right either. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ko1wAyyP6E4The cat I had since I was five years was called Aphrodite, which I learned was the name of the goddess of love and sexuality (great name for a cat...). Then I encountered the word aphrodisiac, which led me to believe that "aphro" meant "having to do with sexual desire and/or love". Then, when I saw the word "deity" and understood that it meant like a god, I made the connection between that and the second part of her name, "dite" and started to pronounce deity like that. For years. WRONG. I still think it would sound better if it were pronounced like that. >_>

It's weird to say things wrong and know their proper root. I am usually pretty good about changing how I say something when I know it's wrong, like I know deus is Day-oos, not Dooss.(Dewce?) but some words are ingrained into me. Misunderstandings from video games are one of them.
Like I say Crow-no, instead of Kron-oh, when talking about the video game series. I have always said Serge's name right, in Chrono Cross. It's not ******** Surge. If it was surge his name would be "Surge." I guess his name was John in my game, though.
