Could I ask if you'd post the recipe in the Foodie Thread, Neko?
I'd love to see it. Of course, if it's a family secret, then no worries... Just curious. Does she make the cake for Easter only, or just whenever?

They are pretty ugly. I bought them for an outfit though, then got them out of a box the next day. Sold them, sold the original pair, bought them again, and sold them again.

Ok odd question for Ananda.
Do you mean groceries as in stocking up the house, or groceries as in you're heading to eat a meal?
I dunno if that's a regional thing or not, but I couldn't keep my brain from going there and asking the question.

Heh, that's interesting luck you have, Cass. I probably won't sell them...but I think they look like they have weird fronds or writing quills attached to em. Don't think they're very wingy looking at all. Why couldn't they have put demure lil wings like they have on the gloves on em? What was the outfit like?

According to my dad it's a family secret heh biggrin He likes it better than spice cake. He wants me to learn how to make it and all. It's all good.

I made a cake that sounds similar, it was kinda like a spice cake but with apple sauce layer. I'll ask Brian what it was since he had the recipe.
Hmm, I liked the big ugly wing things so I got the boots and gloves and a blue dress then wishnets and other black accessories. It was like a bad combination of the angelic and demonic items. It was hideous. biggrin

Hehe and I'd like to see this cake recipe of Brian's too.

I've always been fond of spice cake, and I'm also fond of family traditions. Or at least I remember them fondly, since my family's fractured like mad over the last few years. Kudos to you for learning it, if you do take up the banner. smile

Heh. No, I didn't. But it could be easily recreated if I felt like saving gold. *Shrug*
