I went to the store 3 times! I couldn't sleep at 4 am so I made a home made apple pie. I almost forgot gravy. I went to put the frozen rolls in the oven & realized I had forgotten to thaw themmmmmmmmmm. ARGH!!! Beat the store closing by 15 min & got new rolls. But because of my mix up the turkey was dry crying redface crying But we all enjoyed our first thanksgiving with just our little family (starting a new tradition of just us & the kids).
It was a beautiful day despite it raining AGAIN.

It was definately an adventure. One I can't wait to do next year! smile
As for the tree.....I used to put mine up Halloween night & take 3 weeks to get all the decorations for christmas put up just right. (that was with my ex & my other home) Here we don't get our tree until the 2nd week of Dec...sometimes the 3rd week. But fresh trees smell SOOOOO darn good! The year my girls came to visit we didn't get the tree until the 3rd week so they could pick it out. It was their first real tree. They had soo much fun. But that is all I can say about that right now...they were supposed to come this year & because the 16 yr old wants to hang with her b/f for the holidays I don't get even the 8 yr old...she won't fly alone.
Oh well. Before I start bawling like a baby I will let that gooo.

Sapph, I loved your thanksgiving story, really sweet. I didnt start appreciating family until recently,as in the last 7 or 8 years. I had to find myself first, really....
Chica... dippy! lol. Long distance relationships are interesting huh. IIf we all meet up in Arizona then you guys go to Cali that would be cool, Ken and I live on opposite sides of said state. ME casa est su casa.. but we do live in a suburb of san jose really, bot like San Francsisco, the funner city.
I picked up our whole turkey feast from Mimi's cafe, and omg it was fantastic. I told my mom and pop that I was picking up pizza, so when they walked in and saw a turkey and stuffing and the whole shebang, they were amazed. Heck, I could have said I cooked it and that would have totally blown yer away! Alas, yes, I am extremely honest. Anyway, much fun eating, then we watched zombie movies! Yay! In HD!

Oh, yay weekend and tomorrow I'll be at my firms christmas party. We'll be heading to this wooden castle and we'll have tournaments and dinners and dances. I'm really excited about it. 3nodding
As a Finn, I would like to know that do you have any special foods for christmas? I've understand that thanksgiving has the turkey and all that, but do you have some special foods you always have at christmas? In here it's ham and all sort of foods made from potatoes, carrots and turnips. It of course varies bit on the area where you live in my country. I was just reading all of these wonderful descriptions of thanksgivings and I started to wonder this. xd
