Kumiko treads along the sandy terrain, enjoying the salty breeze and soft whispering of the ocean waves. She proceeds toward a rocky formation, to claim a seat atop a plateau-like boulder overlooking the water. She sighs, resting her hands behind her, reclining and nuzzling her cheek against one shoulder, enjoying the scene.

Charles pushed through the brush to find his way back to the path. "When you gotta go..." he muttered. As he returned to the path a stray branch caught on his coat, causing it to jingle.

"Jingle?"

The Chauffeur slapped his forehead. "Christ! Rivven's chain weapon, I've still got it!"

The fight felt ages ago, but it was one that Charles wouldn't soon forget. His opponent's chain weapon was the first thing he broke in their battle, and something he promised to repair after the fight was over. He reached into his coat's pocket, pulling out tossing some of the links in his hand. The bladed part was safely holstered in his belt, wrapped in some of the hyde he used for his knives.

"Well," he said aloud, speaking to the links of chain. "I'd be more than happy to get you repaired; however, I haven't the first clue as to a location of a smithy. Well, something for me to do, I suppose."

The Chauffeur caught the links and put them back into his pocket, resuming his walk down the path in hopes of finding something or someone that would point him in the direction of a weapons smith.

Kumiko slides down from the rocky formation, standing at awe, feeling as if she had found the very edge of the world. Taking in the scene, she breathes until her chest is puffed and her back is arched, and, without the exhale of a sigh, she turns and travels back along the beach, the wind violently tugging at her skirt, the fabric whipping her upper thighs almost painfully. She hastens her gait until she is in the shelter of the entrance of dead trees into a dry forest.

Rivven tore after the quickly retreating man, the water spinning around him like a mist thinning into tiny lines of the concentrated water, shooting across the clearing and snapping like wips. The shadowy forms that had been awaiting him behind nearby trees were split in two, falling to the ground, as were some of the trees, and Richardo and Rivven both rolled to their feet, rising just beyond arms reach of each other. Rivven slowly rounded the man, and Richardo did likewise, removing the dark gray helmet/mask, and tucking it under one arm. The face Rivven looked up at was exactly what he had been afraid it might be. That dream, of before he had died, that was the man whom had been defending him in it, for some reason, against something. He couldn't remember more than that, but the scar closing off the left eye was new, as were a number of other scars that hadn't been there years ago. The dark skinned man's long black hair fell out over his shoulder with the mask removed, and he stretched his neck, watching Rivven. "Don't ask. You know I'm going to see this through to the end. Now, who were you, Richardo? Who was Edrixe Valedia before he died, and why did he protect me? Why was that place burning? What the hell was it that killed us?" Richardo gave him an odd look, and turned away. "I have not any the idea what you are talking about. I am Richardo, Sapientes Gladio faithful servent, master killer, man of shadows. All there is, is the fight, the kill, and I am glad you have chosen not to deprive me of it. There is and was nothing else, I know no Valedia. I think you have too much to drink before you fight, eh? Make lotsa' crazy talk. Now..." he slipped the helmet back on, and sunk suddenly into the ground, and Rivven cursed as more shapes burst from the trees, the first two more of the puppets, blades for forearms and shins, moving more like spiders than men. The water gathered around Rivven again, and long tendrils of the liquid shot out through the puppets, shattering their torsos and making the things collapse as Rivven kicked away some odd black shape he couldn't seem to focus on, and then another, struggling as suddenly he found himself wrapped in the wires of the motionless puppets, the tightening threads wrapping around his waist and neck. Franticly, he wipped the water vapors into blades again, cutting cleanly through all of it, and grasped his throat as caught breath and watched the shadowy shapes rise yet again. Damn it. These don't matter, I have to find Richardo, and whoever is controlling these things. I can't stop them by beating down on them, I have to go to the souce.

Just outside the tree line, on a high rising rocky hill, shadows spread through a large crevice near the top, and the three green light came first, and the rest of the body of Richardo pulled up from the shadow, and sunk his arm back in, down the the shoulder, and tugged out behind him a huge sniper rifle, thick barrelled almost like a rocket launcher, with a large scope and night vision, and a tripod to stand the end of the long barrel on. He moved and set it down, clicking all of the contraptions along it's side into place, loading adjusting and activating the scope. Turning it down he scanned the forest carefully, and found the spot he was looking for. Peering down the barrel, he looked for Arberus.

The water came back to Rivven each time he used it, but they didn't give him time to gather himself like in his match he'd had; none of them should have been a threat, but they were recklessly offensive, quite willing to lose puppets or whatever these shadows were to wear him down. Rolling, kicking, shooting the water, he never really had time to collect himself, but took them down one at a time as they came. The shadowed forms kept rising though. Wiping a light sweat away from his forehead, he ducked a swing from one of the blurry shadow men, and brought his fist through the head, and it fell over before getting back up. Keeping himself moving, Rivven examined the next, completely made of black, save for a golden ring carved with runes inside their chests. A large sound and motion exploded behind him, and he rolled, as another explosion came behind him, an impact catching where he'd been standing and throwing debris everywhere. Standing, he wrapped the water around his arm, like a long blade, and sprinted at the nearest shadow man, jumping over it and evading another shot as he brought the sword into the chest of the one behind it, and rolled to behind a tree, estimating what angle the enemy must be firing from. The one he'd stabbed didn't reappear, the broken ring laying on the ground, so he could stop these as well, whatever they were. He slammed his hands together, weaving a spell, and kept himself in motion again, moving from tree to tree, the shots nearly stopping as the sniper became more careful. The ground ripped apart under the enemy, and in the small fissure it had formed, he set off the next spell, fire bursting up and eating all the puppets and shadows. They didn't need to die, just keep busy for a moment. He headed toward the shots, still jumping from tree to tree. He had energy left, plenty of it, but no time, and the way things were now he was being forced to act with absolute caution, any one mistake could kill him here.

Rivven came to the edge of the trees, and ducked back inside as powerful bullets tore in after him, splintering the trees they struck. Rivven cursed, gathering the water around himself to mimic Richardo. He needed to get out to him, and this seemed the most convinient way. Water collecting beneath his feet shot him upward into the air, as he tugged some behind him on his arm, coming to the top of the assisted jump high above the trees, and bursting the ball of water forcefully as he shot himself straight at the small shape on the hill. Richardo lugged the long barrel up at the shape high up and coming for him, firing. The shot tore straight through Rivven's shoulder, in one side and out the other, to keep going on, and he turned from a straight dive into a spinning ball, extending his feet at the end and carrying the barrel back with his feet into the rocky earth behind and breaking it. Rolling to his feet and rubbing blood from a small cut on his cheek, he looked around past the broken weapon and rocks, to Richardo.

Two shining guns flicked out of the coat, and Richardo pointed at Rivven and firing as he rolled on the ground around, water tendrils snapping at Richardo, who abandoned his attack to move aside, firing randomly. He turned and continued firing at the form as soon as he was clear of it's attack, chasing it down with his line of fire, until several shot caught the throat as it rose, spraying water onto the ground behind. Richardo spun about too late, and a palms side snapped his wrist with a loud crack, the gun flying aside, and they locked arms, the gun pointing up into the air as Richardo tried to force it down and fire, and Rivven held his wrists, pushing back up. Long knived tore out of the belts and cloth over the outside of Richardo's forearm, pivoting and sliding with a mechanical sound up his arms, and stopping near the wrist, cutting Rivven's hands. He cried out and stepped back, ignoring the gashes to bring a spray of freezing water up into his face before he could fire, a hail coming upwards, which delayed him hardly a moment through the mask, just enough time for Rivven to draw his knife and rush into close combat again, taking way the guns advantage once more.

Rivven was down on one knee, ignoring the frozen body behind him, that would hold up that middle finger for a very long time, until all of the ice melted and by then Richardo would be safely dead again. Rivven coughed, blood splattering over the arm he held tight tucked around his stomach. It felt like it was holding what remained intact of his guts in him. A fair chance it would be, if he tried to walk. No, he was stuck here, and couldn't send messages through ki like others, so... he had plenty of chakra left, so he'd make use of that. He coughed up more blood on his arm, and sighed as the rain washed it away. Putting a hand to his stomach beneath his arm, he pulled it out covered in blood, a good deal more than he would need, and wrote on a flat rock beside him, not inscribing the full circle, but part of it. Just enough for one, all three shouldn't be needed. He felt the energy drain out of him, and through the symbols, as he summoned forth a dark creature. No demon, certainly not near powerful enough, unless one would consider it to be a sort of minor demon, but it would do for what he needed. "I give you my blood and my life. A sacrifice of part of each." refering to the large portions of chakra and blood spent on even the single creature. "Now, take your part of our bargain. Go, and follow my command for your time; find Morgan, and keep her safe. When they are, lead them to me." he would be unconcious by then, in all likely hood. In fact, he blacked out as the thing flew off to get them.

She was alone back at the bar, it had seemed easy to take care of the minions, but Rivven was gone, and that worried her. As if in answer to her thoughts a large shadowy thing came to her, she could feel Rivven's aura all around it. It didn't seem to mean her any harm, so she took it that it had no hurt Rivven. Following it she came to the wilderness. Greeted to the sight of a deeply wounded and passed out. Morgan ran the rest of the way to him and got down on the ground to his sied. "Rivven!" she screamed, trying to wake him. Was he only passed out?

The shadowy creature, shade between large gray plates of chitinous armor, watched a moment, though it had no eyes, and then dissappeared into nothingness, having completed it's end of the bargain. Rivven did not stir a bit when she came to him screaming. He wouldn't wake up for a while in his state. There was a small cut on his cheek, bruises and small cuts as well in quite a few places, but the major things would stand out a bit more. A circular whole, not large but big enough to be clear that it went all the way through from one side of his shoulder to the other. And his injured arm was wrapped around his stomach, which was torn apart rather brutally, torn open in the front and ripped up inside by a large number of tiny bullets; perhaps he had only taken the gun for a moment, but it had been point blank and a rapid firing weapon. His chakra, whatever of it she could feel, was still quite decent, though not quite high, but falling ever so slowly as his body broke it down to take the chemichals and energies in it to assist itself in healing. His eyes were shut lightly, but the pain didn't show on the face any more as when he'd been awake. His breathing was faint, and his heart rate by this time was very slow.

He was alive, she pressed a hand to his chest and could feel it rise and fall. She didn't have enough energy to carry him, and her ki was too low to create a stretcher. The best she could do was put a shield over the two of them. After is was created she laid down beside him and started to fall asleep. Morgan hadn't realized how tired she was until she was laying down. His wounds weren't fatal, she could take him by the healer's (maybe drop him off at Aes) if he thought he needed more professional help than she could give him. For now all she could offer him was numing devices and bandages when they got home.

((Well, it won't let me post in the OOC, so I'll just say it here; I'm going to have to go now, yet again, and there's not much Rivven could do anyway. Just please let me know when he's been moved somewhere and something has been done, and at least a few hours have passed, so I can see about maybe having him do a little.))

Scratching her head, she was so focused on looking at two birds, dazed and confused, she didn't even notice the small trickle of droll falling to the ground. As the small bird, maybe a yushina, flew by, it dropped a little 'present' by her shoes, that just enough to snap her back into reality. "What a little..." Grumbling, she headed for the bar to get something to drink and eat... soon finding that it was... destroyed...

Up on a half broken tree sat Ultima. He had kept sound asleep during the destruction of the bar and had been flung upwards into a nice landing. Still sleeping now, he (By popular demand) was having a senseous dream of Himself and Johnny Depp having a bath together in a large marble basin. The details are interesting, but lets just say that it was not the soap that was slipping in Ultima's hand.

A dream like this caused certin side effects, and to Ultima's misfortune his side effect was at full attention and slowly pushing him off the tree branch. All it would take was a nice hip movement to throw him off the edge.

"Mmmm, Herbal Essences has nothing on you" *squeak squeak*

Thud! And he was on the ground, his tent pitched for camping. wink
