He kept bowing, hoping she would so something like hug him or kiss him.
The prince took her hand and kissed it once more.

She squeaked again, full of anxiety. He just didn't make ANY sense! He had spent every day the last month telling her she was not his equal. That she was basically a piece under his boot and that she should worship and kiss the ground he walked on. And now he was saying they were equals-!?
Chii was blushing horribly, trying to figure out when she could have possibly have gotten drugged or somehow drunk. Or maybe this was all a super weird dream that just felt really real.
"Pl-Please, M-Master, s-someone might see you-!" She squeaked out, hugging herself to him instead of trying to make him get up again. He was being CRAZY-!! Did getting pushed off the balcony earlier change his personality-!?!?!?!?!

Chii's face stayed beet red. This couldn't be real... This really just... couldn't... He REALLY hit his head HARD didn't he-!? To have such a high-and-mighty brat of a prince suddenly confessing his love for her was just.... pure insanity. He wasn't in his right mind. This was just too much for her to mentally handle. He had been so cruel to her since she met him... now his personality was completely the opposite-!
"I... I-I'm r-really not amazing Master-! Y... You're a prince, y-you shouldn't say things like that to a sl-slave-!" They would probably leave her outside to hang if they saw the prince swooning over a petty servant. She would seriously be put to death... just being crowned an honorary slave got her with a knife lodged into her leg...
She hugged him back, although still completely mortified. She never thought words like this would ever come out of his mouth directed at her. All that usually came from his mouth to her was insults and slurs.
Chii squeaked again. "I-I'll go, of course I'll g-go just please stop saying things like that, y-you could get in trouble-!"

He stepped back from her, put his hands on her shoulders, eyes staring directly at her own.

Chii stared into his yellow orbs that looked like polished gold staring back into her ocean eyes.
There was something about him looking at her like that that felt... caring. As caring as a man like Demitrious could get, anyway. Even if she didn't necessarily feel the same way, it was surprising to even see that he was capable of trying to be a human being instead of a monster. Maybe his love wasn't like the kind she had always wanted to have, but maybe he loved her in his own selfish kind of way? Chii wasn't sure... but it felt warm and fuzzy knowing that he was at least attempting, for her.
"Ok-kay..." She hugged herself to him and closed her eyes. It was really nice to hug him without having to be terrified of what he might do to her.

Later, at the royal dinner where there are more than five guests. Demitrious sat at the end of the table with Chii sitting by his side, nobleman complimenting her at how beautiful she is and noblewoman swooning at Chii.
Various talks about how the Gala would go and what theme was being thrown about, ideas, entertainments, various things. There was talk of a slave auction, selling fresh new slaves from the different countries. Also talk of allowing the Castle and noblemans slaves to join a lesser Gala in the basement and for the finale of the main Gala, have the BEST looking and well behaved slaves join in.
Demitrious stopped after a while and stood as he dinged a wineglass with a fine fork, a sharp ringing piercing all conversation leading it to a halt.
"Attention, I would like to make an announcement. Chii here is going to have the opportunity of a life time. I myself would also have great opportunity of having her join me in the Gala, as the MOST prestigious, and important guest. She will join me as an equal and I will have a surprise for EVERYONE at the end. What do you all think?"
As he said that, he put his hand on her shoulder and gave it a light, comforting squeeze.
The crowd was actually supportive and applause permeates through the dinner hall. One noblewoman started crying in joy at how Demitrious finally found himself a BEAUTIFUL woman.

Chii tried her best to keep a smile on her face for the entire dinner. It really bothered her that people just sat around talking about other people like they were just toys or garbage to step on. She knew slavery would always exist... but... it was still very sad... She hated listening to people talk about it so easily. But she wanted to make a good impression for Demitrious' sake.
She blushed harshly. Wait... as his equal-?! Her eyes widened slightly after he said that, in shock. Did he... really just say that... in front of noblemen-!? A chill ran down her spine in fear... she was going to end up with another knife in her leg... and she really didn't want to get shanked again.
But instead of yelling, people.... clapped? She was even more surprised by that. Was she still maybe dreaming? This felt unreal... and just... exhausted her mentally. Normally people got into an uproar over something like this...
Chii smiled warmly, her tail wiggling behind her. People actually seemed... happy? Did they forget she was a slave? The chimera nervously reached up and touched the light magenta pink collar around her neck. It felt... really nice... to be treated like an actual person and forget she was someone's property for a little while... but she was scared she was going to wake up and have it all torn away from her, too.

After a few more woman swooned over Chii and a couple men shook her hand, the head of the party, Nobleman Agravain Charleston walked over to Chii and shook her hand.
"It was such an honor to meet you Chii, I would be overjoyed if you helped me and Demitrious with the plan for the Gala to make it a truly unique experience. He told me much about your Secret garden plan. Please indulge me more in the details I am DYING to know. Also it seems that you are still a little nervous about the higher members of society rejecting you being an equal to Demitrious..."
Agravain looked over to Demitrious to see if he would nod in approval to continue, and Demitrious nodded.
"As far as I am concerned, you are no better than his wife currently. Please treat yourself as such and allow yourself to express ideas normal slaves cannot. I would to think that even you aren't a slave."

Chii's heart skipped nervously as people continued to stare at her in awe. This was so... strange... she just couldn't get over it. The feeling of being treated like an actual person, and having her opinion or ideas matter... it was something she had never felt before. Not even once in her life. Not even as a free person. Her parents had always treated her like dirt, and worked her to death to fuel their dirty addictions. But now here she was an honorary slave, and suddenly her opinion mattered.
The girl bowed her head a little, from sheer habit over her life. "Th-Thank you Nobleman Charleston, I-I'm honored." Chii blushed lightly at the concept of being treated like Demitrious' wife. That would be... impossible. After all, he was royalty and ascended to take the throne. He probably wasn't long off from being crowned King, since His Majesty hadn't been doing so good the last several years. Which was just weird, since Demitrious was a demon... how all that stuff worked, she still did not know.
"U-Umn..." She blushed more so, scared of sounding like an idiot, and stuttering probably wasn't helping. Little did she know in actually only added to her charm.
"My... My ideas for the Secret Garden Gala... They're simple, but I think it will have a lot of elegance and refinery... and of course originality. If we do it correctly..." She paused, trying to remain courageous since this gentleman seemed to have faith in her. "The concept is self explanatory, the basic idea is to keep it gardenesque. B-But we want to give it a sense of wonder, as to impress the guests. So... my idea for the invitations is to dry out flower petals pressed into paper for the card, and I was thinking we could attach small keys to present at the door. An interesting way of proving access into the party."
"I-I've never been to a party before, but I've tried to do some research and I came up with a few more ideas..." Chii paused, still a bit nervous since it was hard to pretend like she knew what she was talking about but had never even been to a party before in her life. "I'm not sure if anyone had a set budget in mind..." She got out a small pad of paper and flipped to her sketches that visualized her design. "The garden at the castle is beautiful the way it is, but I think we should add in large mirrors and ribbon to walk past the hedges, like an opera hallway... and... and if possible, I think buying butterflies and fireflies to let loose would add to the mystery and beauty." The chimera smiled softly, just imagining how romantic it would feel. "Since the party is in the evening, we should add candles and paper asian style lanterns. I noticed a small pond out there, we could also add koi fish there, if we wanted. And another idea I had was setting up a gazebo, or two, for people to enjoy after the dinner."
Chii started slowly flipping through her concept sketches, pointing out all the small details she had in mind for the design of the party. She had, at this point, thought of so many details, however she wasn't sure of which ones people would approve of. Down from the colors, table cloths, plate-ware, ribbons, etc.
Chii smiled softly still, looking to the both of them. "But again, I-I've never been to one, so these are only ideas... What do you think?" Her heart skipped nervously again, for fear of disappointing either male. People had never cared about her ideas prior to this, so it was scary to risk accidentally offending someone.

Demitrious looked at what Chii had presented, wordlessly gazing at her and Agravain.
Agravain however was REALLY into it. His gaze was completely on her, his eyes sparkling.
"I am surprised that I never thought of all the ideas that you presented! You really thought this through. This is just... So complete and awe inspiring. Looks like we don't even NEED the planning phase, we can go straight for the resource and preparation stage immidiately! How did you find such a slave to have bright and colorful ideas Demitrious? This is just... Amazing..."
Agravain grasped Chii's hands and was just all over her. Demitrious smiled yet his eyes were completely dark, eyes directly on Agravain.
Over step your bounds more on my future wife and I will feed you to the dogs. I have known you all my life and you are my friend but I WILL kill you if you show that you are falling for her. Consider your wife and eight children. Agravain.
"Those are wonderful ideas, as expected from my beautiful companion... I say we spend all the money needed. Import all the lamps and flowers. Buy ALL OF IT. We must begin immediately. I say we schedule the Gala in two weeks time."
Agravain smiled at Demitrious positive response.
"Of course my lord, I will send out the invitations that Chii had suggested in that manner. I will also get to it right away. Do you mind if she stays the night here and help me plan?"
Demitrious smile then stopped and turned into a frown.
"Absolutely not."
A light growl was present during the 'not'.
"If you want to plan further you must come to my castle and speak with her whilst I am present. She is MY slave of the highest honor. I cannot allow her safety to be compromised whilst not under my supervision. Agravain.
"I am sorry my lord, forgive me for overstepping my boundaries.."
The Nobleman bowed his head to Demitrious.
Demitrious gave off a small 'tch' noise.
You're on my list now. Agravain. I will see to your execution if this Gala isn't a complete success.

Chii was completely oblivious to the fact that Agravain was a little to smitten with her. And Demitrious being angered by it completely went over her head too.
"Th-Thank you~!" She purred, her tiger tail swishing around excitedly. It felt so amazing to have her ideas not just heard, but put into motion. Sure, she did feel a bit guilty that this was going to cost a lot of money... but the royals would blow tons of gold on something a lot less entertaining. The chimera smiled warmly, genuinely pleased that she was going to be able to do something constructive, and not just wait on the prince hand and foot. Now she actually got to do something that mattered, and could help the people in the kingdom.
After getting back 'home', Chii hugged herself to Demitrious, tail still wiggling about behind her. "Th-Thank you, Master."

The Prince sat down on the bed with his nightgown.
"Rest in my bed with me tonight, we have much to do tomorrow. Tomorrow we will be going to the country side to look at the finest of flowers for the Gala. The cheaper flowers we will be importing from a seperate country since it will be more bulk and cheap. I will let you pick the best in your opinion. This Gala will be your finest work, because with it's success will indicate how well liked you will be across the ENTIRE world."
He pat the spot next to him on the bed.
"I would be honored if such a beautiful woman would bed with me."

Chii looked into his eyes from under her thick lashes, feeling rather tired herself. It had been a really long day... but she had really enjoyed being apart of that world, even for only a little while. She still felt weird about the whole thing... especially everyone treating her like Demitrious' wife... Someone like him would be the last kind of person she would marry... although he had been a completely different person today. But the last month, his dark side... he was the most selfish and evil person she had seen, besides that doctor... This whole world was dark and scary... but today had been a ray of sunshine. Just when she had been close to giving up on finding anyone decent here, besides Ketki and Zuni.
"I-I don't need fame. No one needs to give me c-credit or anything... I just want to help..."
She didn't want to be liked across the whole world... She wasn't interested in people knowing her name. She just wanted to help people quietly from the sidelines. Even as a slave. Even something as dumb as party planning, if it meant opening up trade across other countries. Besides... she just wanted to be free to live her own life. Even if it meant working herself into the ground at a crappy job waitressing.
Chii crawled into bed with him, curling up like a cuddly kitten. "G-Goodnight, Master." She was a little nervous he might try something, but she closed her eyes and tried to have a little faith maybe tonight wouldn't be dreadful like it usually was...
What is the point of being freed anyway... I don't think he would give me that like he said... But... where would I even go if I was free? My parents would just sell me again... I could end up somewhere even worse than here... with someone like... Josef...Her ears slid back nervously while she tried to sleep. Being freed would be pointless in the end... I don't want to imagine some place worse than here... even if Master is a bad person... I'm sure there is a lot worse... I have it good here, as long as I do what I am told...
It was a sad reality, but the chimera was too smart not to realize that fact.

He cuddled up against her, and put his chin on her shoulder.
"Good night, my love."
Later that day, both Chii and Demitrious were sitting in a carriage taking them eight hours away from the castle followed by a caravan of guards.
"So, we will be staying the night over at this town. It's a big town like our own but it doesn't have the government monarchy that ours has. It's within our nation but it's all merchants here. We will pick out the best flowers at their selections. They have TONS of hyacinths, daisies, roses, and large vine flowers. They have the best of the best. Lilies, and what not. What do you think of the country side my dear? I think it is breathtaking, but not as breath taking as your beauty and your eyes."
He took her hand and gave it a kiss.
