Cora hadn't been upset when she'd lost; far from it. She loved dares and Truth or Dare had only really given her the chance to help someone else with theirs rather than do her own, since they'd been cut short. She was a little surprised the actual dare was so innocent though. Maybe someone else might find it embarrassing, but she didn't. Oh well, at least it was something fun! She nodded to Riley, wearing a small smirk, "Alright then, you're on."
She glanced sideways at Morton, who had won a candy rather than a dare. "Well? Care to join me for a little game?" While muck, muck, noose might be fine on its own, she had a few ideas to...spice it up a bit for everyone. This was a party, right? No harm in making sure it was fun.
When Belladonna and Daisuke came over, she raised her eyebrows a bit, but smiled none the less. She recognized the witch, though she didn't know her personally, and Daiksuke...was he from her literature class? She couldn't recall, mainly because she dumped everything from that boring waste of her life from her mind as quickly as possible.
"The more the scarier, as they say," Cora told them. "You can call me Cora. This is Morton." She gestured to the gargoyle and then took a brief glance around, "I suppose...we still need a person or two. Then we can give this a shot."

He was glad he won simply because he didn't know how far Riley would go to get back at him. True, she had been unreasonably nice to him recently, but he was quickly chalking that up to the fact she simply wanted her sad little friend to have a date that didn't make her unhappy and was desperate. That HAD to be the only reason as anything else greatly confused him.
Having won the candy and seeming to end the game, he smiled at the mindflayer as her slits narrowed on him. Ha- she probably would have LOVED to get a dare out of him. Not this time. Taking the candy from her tight little fingers, he smiled at her. "Oh, I'm doing SWELL, daring." He said with a fake smile, as if they were just the BESTEST of buddies. Reaching over with his other hand, he pinched her cheek, whipping the hand away before it could be torn to shreds. Ah-ah. Colette was here. Best be civil. "Thanks for asking, doll-face." With that, he looked down at the candy as it was presented to him, surprised.
The poor girl was just really hard up on herself, and while he wished she hadn't just stepped on the one leg that was still recovering, it wasn't like she controlled gravity. "That's why you're so mopey? You shouldn't be so hard on youself. I probably was the one that brought us down in the end anyways." Considering the floor was some slippery beast to hold on to. He took the candy and plopped his own in her now empty hands. "..and that's for you, just because you're cute." He ruffled her painstakingly-made hair, and then set his hand on her shoulder, turning her so that they could walk away. "Come on, Colette. Let's find a place that has some better scenery." To which he glanced at Riley and walked slowly away.
He took Colette to a nearby table and reaching over, pulled a chair for her to sit in, then plopped himself in one. Oh, that was so much better!

Swaying in the air, Israfel was pink as he and Lucien moved in tandem. It was by no means traditional, given one student was on the ground the other in the air. "It's okay Lucy. Um, I'm not the best either." Earwings flickered in happiness, glad when the spirit's own demenor shifted from sadness to joy.
The feathers shimmered as they fanned out from Israfel's dress, feet trying to match the other pair that hovered in the air. It was an accident, but in his focusing on his feet, (and avoiding having to look Lucien in the eyes), The siren gave a small cry as his shoe caught on one of the feathers of the dress, sending him stumbling and clinging to his Ghostly partner. It was a rather hallmark moment and if Israfel could have seen it, he would have been cooing over how cute it was. Arms wrapped tightly around Lucien, Israfel gave the boil and light hug. Sure, he wasn't fond of most ghosts but...Lucien was the exception. He wasn't sure why but he just was. It was confusing but having the ghost nearby, having his friend nearby always made the siren feel better. If more confident.
Not realizing it, Israfel had begun to cling to the slyph, tiny peeps of contentment made. Really, a ship sailing type action. One that would have earned Israfel to cry with glee under normal circumstances. But now, the subject of it, only hand him stumbling back. "I'm sorry. Sorry. I didn't mean to. Jack I- I um..." Wings wrapped around him in nervousness. Since when did Lucien make him feel nervous? Dancing was really weird. And complicated.
"Ah...what else did you want to do? Unless you wanted to dance more. Or we could go get food. Or mingle or-or-or-" He rambled. Earwings fell to his skull, flat. "Sorry I stumbled."

Lucien had been thinking about it for awhile, one of his hands fidgeting into around in his pocket as he thought about it, as he held onto Israfel with the other hand as they danced. Israfel looked so lovely tonight, his precious free bird. Would Israfel say no? Lucien didn't think he'd be able to handle that answer. Anything but that answer. Lucien was trying to get up the courage to say it when suddenly he felt something bump against him and his hands automatically flew up. To his surprise it had been Israfel who had fallen into his arms. He... he couldn't help but smile. He had saved him, he had protected him. He would promise to always do so, to always be on his side.
Softly, Lucien took Israfel hand in his own after the siren had gotten to his back to his own feet. He took a moment to take in the picture of Israfel all dressed up before he smiled, "You never have to apologize to me," before he tugged him away towards the corner near the window but a little more away from everyone else. He'd never done this before, he didn't want everyone to see and hear him. He held the hand between both of his as he leaned in and whispered something into his ear before pulling back and looking him in the eyes.
"Israfel... I'll always be there for you. I promise. Do... you accept?"

"Well, I suppose that's one thing your parents did for you that wasn't so bad," Alessa murmured as they spun and dipped. After she said it, she realized it might not have been appropriate and her mouth open for a a moment, but no correction came out because she couldn't think of one. So instead she diverted, knowing he wouldn't mind, but hoping she hadn't altered his mood. "It's alright. I already tried staying mad at you and look how well that worked." She offered a sheepish smile.
When he took the time to call out a challenge to LW and Gabe, she tugged on his sleeve, managing to whisper as at this point in the dance they had been brought close together. "Don't interrupt them...besides, not everything needs to be a competition between you two." It was hard to tell which of the two she was even referring to, but likely her advice would have been the same.
She likely would have said something else, trying to maybe elaborate so that she didn't come off as too critical, but she hesitated as he swung her into an elaborate dip. She might have continued anyway, but his question and the quick kiss he stole, well, stole her words too and she turned about as scarlet as her hair. It shut her up for a bit, long enough for Ren to lead her off as the dance competition ended. He kissed her check then, making it impossible for her to recover from her previous bashfulness.
"You may want to stop," she warned him shyly, though honestly, "Or I'll be tongue tied all evening."
She was relieved when he went over to the game, because it meant she got a little break from being the center of his attention and she could compose herself. As he rolled she commented teasingly, "You know, the girl is supposed to blow on the dice. It's a lady luck thing." But, seeing as his roll turned out well enough to earn him a candy she said, "But maybe you're a lord luck instead."

Rain looked down at the paper with all the nominations on it. "I would like to take this moment to congratulate Malodore & Riley on Scariest Couple. They were in fact, the only couple nominated for that category. So congratulations to Riley & Malodore! You each win a Venus Flycat! They are ticky but adorable minipets."

The siren had no idea what was going through the slyph's mind as his own thoughts were currently muddled. Why was being close making him all nervous? Why was he getting twitchy? Did he eat something bad? Did they spike the punch again, (he could swear that boil over there was drunk, oh jack hopefully no pink elephants would be about)? And, naturally, Israfel wondered if Lucien had anymore blue ribbon to tie his hair back. It kept getting in his way when he had been spinning and twirling.
"But Lucy~" Israfel muttered. He was sorry! Oh but that was an apology. Could he apologize for wanting to apologize? Was that okay? Urg, his tummy did another flip again. And he felt fuzzy. Darn Lucien. He was making him feel fuzzy wasn't he? It was okay though, Israfel bet it wasn't on purpose. "Hm, um, where we going?" A corner? He- he- what was going on? Why did it feel like he'd eaten a bunch of butterflies? They didn't even taste good! No without sea salt and spices at least.
"Hm?" Cocking his head to the side Israfel wasn't sure of the question. or it's meaning. "Of course! I want you to always be there! You're my best friend Lucien!" Arms wrapped around him along with wings. Israfel's face was all alight with a smile. Lucien was one of his closest friends. The one he could depend on. The one who always showed up when he felt alone. "You're like- like.. um..what do they call them?" He tried to think of the phrase? "Wing man? You are always there for me! And really of course I want you there! Silly."
