((AnCat; I had a feeling it might be too extensive...should I just basically shrink it down and tha'd be ok?

...how. the hell. did I forget to mention he's a botanist/microbiologist...-face-palm- Well I feel throughly stupid now. That's the entire reason he's so interested in the things and taking samples. And is a key-point in his character...bugger me.))

Miya smiled and nodded enthusiastically at the proposals. So much that could be done...she really hoped Aleron hadn't been infected when he'd gotten injured earlier. But, that last part...he'd lost his excitement with that last possibility. "Aleron...something wrong?" she asked quietly with a calm tone that showed she'd listen if he wanted to talk, but he didn't have to if he didn't want to.

((Shrink it and cut it back to a more minimalist design. You can still have some specimen lockers with that polymer, but that sort of creation would fall under the Engineering background a little more.
It's an awesome concept, but basically, you guys got summoned, briefed, and shipped out right quick, so it would basically be what you could pack and carry on for what was brought with as far as personal stuff goes.
Anyway, I have to go eat dinner now, so I'll be back on later.))

((Margo; Yeah you and the others have headed back to the ship. I think you guys start basically with coming back.
AnCat; I'll go update that post...just say he was describing a piece of his ab at HQ, and then list out what he has there.))
Aleron sighed a bit. "Just...makes it all seem selfish if I want to use my work to save myself too instead of others." he said quietly as he turned from the wall of specimens.

Aurora was glad to find that Mish and the survivors had returned. She tells them to get cleaned up and meet her in the galley. She would let them get some food before taking them someplace they could talk. "I've got lots of questions for you, too," she says.

"..." Miya thought that sentence over for a few seconds. The key words that had caught her interest were 'selfish' and 'save myself'. The latter piqued her curiosity, but the former sent a small wave of guilt through her. "...If that were selfish, then I suppose I'd be more selfish than you. Healing my own pain by healing others...that's the main reason I became a doctor..." she said quietly, eyes gazing down at the floor and ears drooping slightly.

Aleron stood by one of his specimens. It was in the dark, no light. She couldn't see it even if she went past the goo-glass stuff, but he seemed to be looking as if he could see it all. "You help by feeling what they do and handling it. Personally, I think it's less selfish. You bring upon yourself their pain to share their feelings. It develops a better understanding of your patient, and I admire that. In my case, though...I just don't want to stop my research. It would all be lost and left, then die after I did. All my work, un-cared for and lost over something as minuscule as death. I want to live and I want to finish my research." he said, turning away. "Follow me. I'd like to show you my favorite specimens. I never leave them behind when I leave my lab." he said as he walked further along.
