I am rather proud to announce that my massage oil experiment is working so far! Basically I get the worst cramps and so I use a tonne of painkillers but throught using this massage oil I've been able to halve the amount of painkillers I've been using. I am very happy. The only problem is I can't use it when I'm out and about because it's a little...tricky to apply.

I'm finally going back to school. After a year long struggle to get registered in the first college, I gave up and applied to another college and was accepted and registered without trouble. I mean seriously... The first college just threw you to the wolves and watched in amusement to see who survived, and just when you think you crawled out from danger, you find yourself in a labyrinth. While the college I'm attending now is the exact opposite. It's like a breath of fresh air.
Anyway, I'm pretty nervous about one of my classes. At the time of registering, I didn't see a description of any of the classes ((turns out there's a separate link for it)) so I was mainly going by titles. This one class, Philosophies of Life and Death sounded interesting, I figured it'd be centered around different cultures and religions. But no, it's apparently centered around the HBO series True Blood. Which I have never watched. When I registered, I had to get the permission from the professor to attend. He asked if I watched it, and admitted I didn't ((another girl who was also asking for the same class also never saw it)). Yet he accepted both of us. At the time the way he made it sound was the show just helped the lessons, like certain things discussed in class would be demonstrated in the show. But the description makes it sound like the class is centered around the show. So here I am, scrambling around trying to understand 4 seasons in a couple of days. I have a feeling this class is either going to frustrate me endlessly or it'll be rather pleasant. I guess I'll find out Tuesday.

A class centered around True Blood? That sounds really rather strange. I guess it could be quite interesting, but for me, something centred around True Blood may end up being quite tedious. I'm not really a huge fan of the series.

Yeah, I thought it was really strange too. A college course focusing on a fictional show about fictional creatures. It's bizarre. I'd understand if it helped demonstrate certain topics, like for instance I think Walking Dead would be great discussion for some Psychology classes. But not as the the main focus of the course.
That's what I'm afraid of, if I dislike the show, it'll only make me dislike the class. And there have been parts already I cringed or couldn't help but roll my eyes at.

*blinks* A college class? Centered around True Blood? What? And even from the title I would think it shouldn't be just focused on True Blood.

I've heard about college courses and lectures focused on Buffy the Vampire Slayer but True Blood is a new one.

Oh man, a course focusing on Buffy sounds even more bizarre.

Actually it makes sense in context. They generally have a lot to do philosophy, views on femininity and challenging/changing gender roles.

In context yes, but to me it still seems odd...

Jesus Christ, if I went to a university class and they spent the entire semester talking about a ******** TV show I would ask for my money back.

Yeah, I wouldn't really take any of those classes. I have heard about them though.

I'm more confused now about the center of the class. He barely mentioned True Blood in the introduction, and about a quarter of the class doesn't even watch it. So... I don't know anymore.

Perhaps you should just wait and see.

So I've been randomly thinking about it as I've been browsing guilds. Do you think it would be a good idea to start a guild for Kemetics, people that are ENP but have a bit of a Kemetic flavor, or people who were just interested? I'm not talking about starting it just yet. But when I feel like I have enough knowledge to.
I've only really found one guild but it focused more on Egyptian mythology than religion. Plus that guild's been inactive for a while.

That sounds very interesting. I've always been fascinated by the Ancient Egyptian religion (so much so that when I was little I wanted to be mummafied when I died...I was such a morbid child).
