usagitsukino666 *walking back into the tea house Maromi looked around, watching people conversing, tea being served and wondered if there was anything she could do to help. Not wanting to offend anyone, and not knowing what to do, she kneeled at one of the tables and smiled half heartly, looking about and fiddling with a ring on her finger, as her hands lay in her lap and ran her tongue gently over the bright red lip paint on her usually pale rosey lips * Himeko gets up and retrives a glass and pours Maromi a glass of tea and smiles "Why don't you join us over here?" nitta Nitta listened to Himeko's story from across the room, then drifted over and gracefully knelt beside Serena. "Wow.... your parents were very strong individuals, Himeko-chan! We are grateful to be able to welcome you here!" Nitta gave her a slight bow and then pulled out a small folding fan and began to fan herself with it. "Thank you. They were, I guess." She blushes abit and says, "Before they left they engaged in several acts against the CS military, mostly just minor acts of sabatoge at their factories or research facilities. Nothing that ever had a chance of hurting anyone, but would be a nuscance and eat up man-hours and supplies in repairing or replacing the broken requipment or having to redo or find a copy of research." Himeko, sighed as she returned to her seat and took another sip of her ocha and looked about for a little to eat not finding any she continued, "Even though they got paid for any information they could steal or for delaying the deployment of new weapons, and that finaced their being able to come here, I want to avoid that kind of work, even though they said that I'd be drawn to do adventurous things as had almost everyone in the village." Himeko, looks up and her eyes go distant "I wonder what the cities and people are really like over there?" she says softly, "Perhaps things have changed for the better and things are more peaceful."

((sorry i died sweatdrop ive been busy and brain dead for the last week gonk ))
Kyoku sat down near the new maiko and listened intently as Himeko-chan spoke about her past. "I must agree with nitta-san, himeko-chan. Your parents are quite commendable! I am Kyoku Haruto, head geisha of the Mizunoyuri okiya." Kyoku bowed slighty to the younger girl, the corners of her blood red lips lifting in a small, yet warm smile. Kyoku motioned another maid over and asked that she bring all of them some food.
"Well, you will be well recieved here amongst us. We are, for the most part, peaceful. I think almost everyone wants adventure, excitement." Kyoku's grey eyes drifted around the warm room, down to her hands that rested in her lap. "Perhaps your parents have forgotten that excitement comes in many different forms." She looked back up quickly, plastering a smile to her soft features.

Himeko looks up and smiles, suppresses a yawn and replies, "You're right of course. Many a businessman or politictian is were they are because to them it is an adventure, challenge, or test of their skills and desire to suceed, otherwise I think that they would have done something different with their lives, Miss Kyoku." Himeko bows as best she can in her kneeling position not sure if she should have stood up or not, but feeling very welcome. "That is how they get their excitement, desu ne?"
The maids bring out a platter of traditional snacks like fruit, sweet bean paste candies, and the like for everyone to enjoy.

Serena smiled as Nitta came over.
"Yes, we are quite peaceful here,"Serena agreed.

Sayuri smiled gently towards the maiko.
"I quite agree. I believe that geisha and maiko are where they are today because they were able to pick up the pieces of their lives and live up to the challenge. You certainly are proof of that, now aren't you?" Sayuri complimented. "I am called Sayuri, head of the Kanenokikyou Okiya. It's nice to see that you're feeling better."

*after a while of sitting in the bath, Jusu has washed himself more properly and was now eyeing around the spot looking for a towel. Finding one at a table nearby, he slowly gets out of the tub and grabs the towel, starting to dry himself up, a sigh of relief escaping from his lips as he felt more clean and relaxed once again*

Nitta grinned side-long at her little-sister-to-be and then also introduced herself to the newcomers. "I am Nitta, the head geisha of the Tsuchinobara Okiya and soon to be Onesan to Serena-chan!" She bowed slightly.

((OOC: Just a note...for maiko who have nitta (Nitta-san), kairisesshy (Kyoku-san), and angel_baby_4 (Sayuri-san) in their Okiya, you should look to one of these to be your Onee-san (older sister). For those without, you may be able to get one of the head geisha to become your Onee-san, still. ^^ Never fear! But if the head geisha is in your okiya already, and previous arrangements have not yet been made, please feel free to try and get more familiar with your head geisha in the Okiya. ^^
Nitta-sama! xd I was wondering if you could try to buy the other two forums now. I believe we may now have enough funding for them. ^^ If not, then at least one of them. wink I said what to name them in the "subforums" thread when you asked. <3))

We'll be working together so we should be friends, don't you agree?" "I'm not sure where my house is but I'm sure a fellow maiko or Geisha from my house will be able to show me the way when the time comes to retire for the day."
