Oh I know. I downloaded the book, I just think its a bad idea of people to need adamantine (Read As: Cut through anything) weapons, and epic equipment, to defeat it.
S'bit much for standard role play. S'like Ryugi's old "mythril" armor, which was basically equivalent to Frodo's in that it could never be cut unless you had an epic weapon. Or Tomorrow's plasma weaponry and armor (Stop thinking Halo) it forces people into stuff I dont think we're trying to shy them away from. You know, what with super uberness, and gods, and super epic equipment, thats supposed to be rare but everyone has.
Though actually SEEING the golem, I'm totally astonished that with those thin bars the I-Beam didnt just snap its head right off!
But I digress, this matter doesnt belong here to begin with and has been re-hashed a thousand times, its not going to change.

You don't need an adamantine weapon. A magic weapon will do just as well. Hell, even Tasslehoff's Rabbit Slayer could damage the thing normally. neutral

Technically, they only have DR 10/adamantine and magic. You can still bludgeon them to bits with your fists, if you wanted. It would just take a little longer. Having DR does not make you immune to damage from attacks that don't beat your DR.

Ok! So I needed to enchant the I-Beam. I get it now.
And it can be anyone even a moldy stick as long as it has magic too it. Thats alot better. So since you have the book there and, I cant find it one the page, and now I'm all extra curious. What challenge rating is it?

Pretty much, yeah.
Normal is 11, Greater is 14.
@Rain: Yeah, but since we can't really roll damage here, I've just been giving it half damage from normal. Hence only being dented after being swatted with the I-beam, rather than concaved.

Ok!
Well that seems all together. I always imagined this big Iron Giant type mech thing bearing down on me, not a small black floating skeleton.

Iron Golems are just as bad.
And twice as big.

Also; using a sword on something made out of steel is pretty stupid, and shouldn't do any damage. Unless it was already a magical adamantium katana of irrational sharpness that cuts through everything.
