I picked Louie and names all my crew after vampires, so I guess it's fitting... And apparently Haji has an increased chance of pregnancy. Yay?

I took one woman with me, and of course she got hysterical pregnancy.
I've only gotten past the volcano before everybody died. I keep running out of food/ammo and I haven't seen any trade random events yet. And since the luck is factored terribly (1 is "average", 10 is "pretty lucky") you tend to get worse events with standard luck so you'll probably end up losing food/ammo/time the farther you get.

ahaha, it amuses me that the Clash At Demonhead song in Scott Pilgrim really made me think of Metric, and then when looking for it online I find out that it's cowritten by Metric and the girl who sang it in the movie.
Also damn you cheating AI in PuzzleQuest, I will kill you and steal your fangs to upgrade my poison. *stabs*

Wow. You mean I beat it before you? And I always sucked at Oregon Trail. It was pretty easy once I figured out you have to shoot animals more than once to kill them. Probably wouldn't have made it through the volcano without Louie's food bonus, though. Not much to kill there. I was half-asleep, too. When asked to throw my annoying crew member or the bongos he was playing overboard, I chose Eric. Goodbye 100 point bonus... What is really lame is you apparently get points for wearing that hideous Coke utility belt. talk2hand Edit: Oh yeah. I don't think you get any trade events after leaving the forest, so you need to stock up on food where it is plentiful.

I started to take apart the systems in the game. Once I figured out how badly it was made in comparison to Oregon Trail, it really killed any interest I had in playing it. I have 4 or 5 games that are more worth the time than it would take for me to try and get through a round of that.
I think Louie is probably the easiest to complete it with, with the Diedrich or Sam maybe being second best. But since there are so many more random events that hurt you than help you, or just waste your time, you're probably better off being able to carry more food or have better luck. Especially since luck bonuses taper off after awhile.
I did get to the volcano with Carl though, which was kind of fun.
And those are some pretty cool photos.

I've only really played with Louie so far, but everybody in the forums seems to be whining that he's impossible and that Carl is easier.
I just started a round with Edmund and the guy I named after Gambino went chasing a moth and killed himself 60 miles in. rofl

Lady Pyre I've only really played with Louie so far, but everybody in the forums seems to be whining that he's impossible and that Carl is easier. I just started a round with Edmund and the guy I named after Gambino went chasing a moth and killed himself 60 miles in. rofl Louie's usefulness tapers off since you don't have any high yield animals after the forest; but it means you can exchange your starting food for more bullets and get you maximum load at a potentially lower cost. And lower luck will ******** you over in the long run, but it's kind of a small penalty compared to lower health or using more food. Carl is fun just for the fact that you'll probably get people killed in random events just after you start, like from the moth. It's also fun to try and hunt elk when using Carl. I just wish it was a better game, really. I like Oregon Trail, so I guess I sort of had my hopes up.
