A friend of mine got the rulebook early and found this info regarding the Emperor, finally putting to rest all the fan theories about what will happen when he dies and what he is doing right now: Quote: "Ten thousand years ago the Emperor lived and breathed as a mortal man, but his physical life has long since ended, crushed out of him by Horus, the Great Enemy, in the final battle for Earth. Today, as for the last ten thousand years, the Emperor lives only by the force of his supreme will. His broken and decayed body is preserved by the stasis fields and psi-fusion reactors of the Golden Throne. His great mind endures inside a rotted carcass, kept alive by the mysteries of ancient technology. His immense psychic powers envelop and protect Mankind across the entire galaxy. His consciousness wanders through Warp space, keeping closed the doors between this world and the next. If the Emperor fails then the Daemons of Chaos will flood into the galaxy. Every living human will become a gateway for the destruction of Mankind and the stuff of Warp space will submerge the galaxy. There will be no physical matter. No space. No time. Only Chaos." If you don't believe it, it can be found in the new rulebook.

So I played by the new rules last night and they are brutal, but fun. Black templar Crusader squads never came across the board so fast with the new run rule......Assaults are disusting as well. You take -1 Ld for every unsave wound you took. My dire avengers got wiped off the board with a sweeping advance because the went from Ld 9 to Ld 6.....I lost a squad of jetbikes the same way.
Dark Eldar get a fun new joyride with the raiders and stuff. The 4+ cover for moving fast is crazy, much better than the old auto glance rule.
I played 4, 5th edition, 1,000 point, games. 3 of those opponents were black templar....crazy crusader squads.....

Woo hoo I am back ! HAI EVERY ONE !! blaugh
So as maybe a few of you know, I went to visit an actual Monastery! I stayed with the Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration of Clyde Missouri (They are Nuns but technically Female Monks). While I was there I got to visit Conception Abby and got to meet and talk with an Actual honest to goodness Monk! His name was Brother Macario!! (he told a monk joke) rofl The tip was an awesome learning experience and their Chapels are 10 levels of OMG beautiful. Any way it was cool, not exactly like going to Disney world but meh, still cool. mrgreen

Jeeze! That, I'd call an epic trip. Very nice, Isis. And about the new rule book... ... ...Mhmm. I'll... Try it eventually. But yes, Tiki. Getting to Chicago for you would be difficult, I'd imagine. Thankfully, it's only about three hours away from where I live, so I'm in luck.

Yeah it stinks that I'm smack dab in the middle of the country where GW never hosts any games days....it makes me sad.

So I saw the midnight showing of Batman last night.....and it was amazing....Ledger pulled off the Joker so well, best portrayal of the Joker ever. It's amazing, and full of ingenious plans and twists.....it's amazingly cool. I loved it.

I'm back for how long or how short it is ....I traded my tyranids for eldar, although I really don't like 'em they just sell better here.
and I started an ork army mrgreen

Orcs are very fun to play, and model.
I also saw Batman yesterday and it was very well done. My only complaint is that the greatest joker ever will never be done agian.

hey guys, i just got back from england. srsly ive only been home for like 30minutes or so...
anyway, i saw warhammer world. get this as i walked around looking for some one who knew how to get there, i stopped to ask a cop and he's like 'oh ya, i go up there every wensday to play'
