30 seconds is a little over four rounds of combat. >_> That's an eternity in a low level game and an instant in a high one. ^_^
xD Indeed, whoosh!

1 Round, 6 seconds.
30 seconds, 5 rounds.
1 round High-lvl Fighter = 6/1+ Attks a round.
Roughly 35 attacks can get off by a fighter in 5 rounds...
Or 5 spells.
Etc etc.
There is of course sub-actions per round. With each round you have one turn, in which you have a limited number of actions dependant on their type. Movements, potions, attacks, five-foot step/attk, fighting defensively, etc etc.
That's the D20 D&D style. It relies mainly on dice-rolling and has pretty rigid guidlines. Unlike a lot of other gaming systems such as shadowrun or BESM, D&D 3.5 or whatever it is now relies mostly on rolling high and watching stats. Very few DM's I've met have run an in-depth storyline that wasn't too biased. domokun

I want to learn to skateboard, but fear of falling off and cracking my head open and then dying because of blunt force trauma is holding me back.
~shrugs~

Skating's hella-fun. Might take you a while to get it, but once you do? You'll be good to go. xp

Skate + Board + Kuro = head trauma
I always thought skating was more roller blading, and roller skates.
