I talked with Owle earlier, seems she want's for her, Kalis, and Rain to split off to go help some people.
I'm sticking with Maximos, Cris, and Grace. Hopefully JB too, but I can't stop him from leaving.
Its our best chance to save the people. How would we get them all out without the truck?
I didn't expect us to win. I expected us to having a fighting chance. Like I said before; if the bad guys had these kinds of resources available, they would have taken over the world a dozen times by now, and I'm
pretty sure we don't live under the rule of any drow dictators or lich emperors.
I've been kind of pissed at how this has all been handled, IC and OOC. IC, if you wanted this to be something good guys should have no part of, you should have done a single post explaining what happened overnight, and that's that. Goading us into facing impossible odds (not near-impossible, but impossible) is just bad form. If there was nothing we could do to influence the end result, you should have said so from the start and prevented us from entering.
OOC, most of what's been going on has been me doing a lot of the planning,
not Maximos. From now on, I want all bitching and complaining to be directed towards yours truly. You guys didn't even ask who was the primary one complaining here. He's been the courtious one by not pointing the finger at me. I would have said something earlier, but I rarely frequent this thread, and typically have other stuff going on. But, most of what's been going on has been my idea (along with some adjustments as events unfolded).
I've been so utterly frustrated that if it wasn't for the fact that I'm already embroiled in such a mess as it is with a group of people, I was just going to stop posting, because whatever fun we could have had in there has totally been sucked out of it. Even if I have to turn this truck around to head out of Barton, I will do this all on my own. No one else should have to suffer for my ambitions. We just have to get the truck turned around in one piece first.
EDIT: And as an afterthought, if this is how most, or even just some, events in this guild are going to be handled, I don't really think they'll be something I'll ever want to participate in (again).
