Kaya smiled. She herself wasn't tired, but she liked snuggling with her personal heater. So she rested her head on his chest, listening to his sleepy heartbeat and smiling to herself. [OOC:] Wanna move to the OOC thread for some next-twist planning?

Luke slept quite soundly, Kaya wrapped in his arms. And he could feel the animals curling up to his back. Man... He must be a good heater...

In what seemed like no time at all, Razz found himself in the predicament he hadn't thought would be so soon. He wanted to propose to his princess. And he thought he'd come up with the perfect way. So, starting early in the morning, he slaved in the kitchen, baking Yumi's favorite pastry. He made it perfect, and when he was finally satisfied, he got it set up on a plate and made it look perfect. Then, he hid the fork behind the back of the pastry, and set the ring he'd gotten her on the prongs of the fork. Smiling, he finally decided that it was ready to bring to Yumi.
As a side note, Kaitani eventually did need to make the choice between his clan and his new family. He chose to stay in Mesilici, and come live in the castle. Though he still considered Luke and Kaya as his parents, he'd been taken under Searan's wing when he'd developed his human form, since the older dragon knew the process from experience. [OOC:] I wasn't sure how much time we wanted to skip, so I left it vague.

Yumi had been with Razz for these so short-feeling years. It had only been maybe 8 at best. At least that's what it felt like. But she found herself still in a routine. She was sitting in her favorite booth, waiting on some food from her faithful kitchen boy and love. Though he seemed to be taking a little longer than usual... And he hadn't been there to meet her either. What was he up to?
Luke had been almost inseparable from Kaya over that time. He spent what time he could with her when neither of their schedules conflicted. But he had taken off 2 years before the present day. He had to go find something special. He was going to propose to Kaya soon and he was going to get something no magic could duplicate. What was rumored only a myth. An Erithian Crystal. A crystal so rare, its depth-less beauty was lost with it, so no magic could ever replicate. And after 2 long, hard years, he had found one. And had it fitted onto a ring of desert silver. Silver he had even gotten from her home village. Now, finally, he was back at the castle. The old wolf opened the door and slipped his cloak off, ready to hug his love and go to bed.
Lute had also been on the verge of a proposal, but he also spent time from Chloe to get it just right. And he was facing his fears. He had gotten a roc egg from a local breeder, and it had hatched. It was beautiful. A dog sized hawk with snow white feathers, and ice blue claws and beak. And he had trained it to offer up his love a ring he had saved up for. It had a simple ruby on it in the shape of a feather. But Lute hoped she'd love it. Since he was walking her to the cage with the roc right now.

Razz walked slowly over to Yumi's favorite booth, sliding in and setting the plate before her. The fork was facing him, so she couldn't see the ring, and wouldn't until she picked up the utensil. "Made your favorite," he said with a smile. He studied her expression, noting that she looked a little confused, probably being curious of why Razz was taking so long. The ring was gold, with a bright red ruby the color of Yumi's hair. He'd had it shaped like a strawberry. He wasn't sure if she'd like it, but he sure hoped so.
Kaya was sitting up, as she usually did late into the night. She was always waiting for Luke, though she wasn't sure when he'd be back. So, with a few of the grown up cubs who'd chosen to stay in the castle, she was waiting, reading a book. She was beginning to nod off, though, her dreams already beginning with Luke's return...
Chloe was holding Lute's hand, glancing at him every few moments. She really wanted to know what it was he was going to show her, but she hadn't been able to get the answer out of him. So she just followed along, trusting him.

Yumi smiled as the dessert was served to her. Her favorite! She leaned over and kissed Razz's cheek sweetly. "Thank you Razz. she said, picking up her fork, but she was surprised to find a ring there. She gasped softly and slipped it off the utensil and studied it before pulling Razz close and kissing him right on the lips. "It's gorgeous. Thank you." she said, smiling and cuddling right up to him. She then whispered in his ear. "Yes."
Luke stumbled up to Kaya's room, rejecting any help from the servants. Soon he arrived and knocked on her door, leaning on the door jam. He was so tired, but he'd stay awake long enough to see Kaya. His desert queen.
Lute smiled as he soon got her to the aviary and called for his pet. The roc, glad to hear from its master, grabbed the ring as trained, and swooped down to land on the branch next to them. The winter bird, also as trained, offered Chloe the box which held Lute's proposal. Hopefully she'd say yes.

Razz smiled at Yumi's expression, and was surprised when he was suddenly pulled in by her. He smiled, though, after her whispered yes. "Thank you," he whispered back, kissing her cheek. He couldn't get rid of his smile, and he wrapped his arm around her shoulders, keeping her close to his side.
Kaya quickly hopped up and went to her door. It was likely Kaitani--He was usually the only person who came. She opened the door, then stared in shock. But then she grinned widely and stepped forward, wrapping her arms around Luke's neck and hugging him. She kissed his cheek, then smiled at him. "You're back!"
Chloe tilted her head as a winter bird approached her, offering her a box. She took it, glancing at Lute curiously, before popping it open. Her eyes widened, and she blushed a little, glancing back at Lute. She opened her mouth to say yes (because what else would she say?) then just jumped towards Lute, hugging him tightly and hoping that would be an answer.

Yumi smiled and slipped the ring on her finger before starting to eat her pastry.
Luke smiled and nodded, hugging Kaya tightly. "I missed you so much." he murmured. He was weak, tired, and sleepy. But he had to ask her. He had to. He took her into her room and sat her on the bed. The wolf sat down next to her, but the bed was soft. It eased his aching body. Maybe... jsut a nap.... A small one... He couldn't help but lean against her and go right to sleep, the box still in his hand.
Lute smiled and caught Chloe, twirling around with her in his arms. He smiled and kissed her cheek. "I take that as a yes?"

[OOC:] My god. I was just remind of why I love people like you who know how to put a period in its place. burning_eyes Razz grinned and just watched his princess: His fiancee.
Kaya laughed a little as Luke fell right to sleep. Without even thinking about it, she removed the box from his hand and put it on her table, moving the wolf into a more comfortable position and cuddling up with him, pulling a blanket over the two. She fell asleep easily, a smile on her face as she cuddled with him.
Chloe laughed and nodded, leaning forward and kissing Lute's lips.

Yumi soon finished her pastry and smiled some. "Whatever shall my father say when he hears this?"
Luke didn't stir when she moved and cuddled right up to him. He slept very soundly though. He was finally home with his love and soon he'd propose to her and they'd finally be married. And that's what he dreamed of. Him, Kaya, and a flock of children.
Lute returned the kiss and smiled. He pulled her close, stroking her hair softly, petting the rock with a free hand. The roc cooed before leaving the two to enjoy their personal time, the bird returning to its nest.

[OOC:] It was horrible. I sent a nicely groomed, six or seven paragraph post his way. I got a paragraph-sized run on sentence. No punctuation, no capitalization, and he spelled "aye" wrong. Then, when I said I couldn't reply to it, he said he hadn't even noticed there was anything wrong with it because he's dyslexic. I've had a dyslexic friend, and dyslexia affects letters and numbers: Not grammatical skills. burning_eyes Razz paled at the thought, then. He hadn't thought that Demetri would be a problem. "Congratulations?" Razz asked hopefully.
Chloe looked over at the roc and raised an eyebrow. "I see someone's been bonding. Good for you, Lute," she said, smiling and kissing his cheek again.

Chloe smiled a little and nestled up to Lute. "Are we still talking about the bird?" she asked jokingly.

Chloe giggled, turning Lute's head back towards her, and kissing him.
