Oh and Kraun, your timings off. The Boneyard is several feet long, and Maximos sword is 4ft long. Not several feet long, as it would need to be equal to the length of the snake to simply chop strain down and get the whole thing in one swipe. So it wouldnt be just a simple downward chop, he would have to hold the sword along the entire length of the creature, to be effective he could only lower it after its already cut. And he used the truck as his forward momentum.

Cris' attack was placed as soon as I started cutting it, and yours was placed after. Thats at least 8-10 seconds of holding. And 8-10 seconds of jagged bone rain, across a spread, not just a single flank. Though since your instant casting I'm sure you could just break out Irresistible Dance, Symbol of Death, Sunburst, Symbol of Insanity, Polymorph, Temporal Stasis, or hell...just have all the Sorcerers/Wizards of ?? level, Iron Body their way clear through the damage.

Either way, its not a split second. Really now, if it was a 4ft snake, why would the head be so big? Who would really be threatened by a midget bone snake?

The devils in the details.

So do you want me to just simply write everyone dies, or should I just edit the time of the spray to be longer?

I figured if thats what a split second does, a longer spray would do alot more damage, but as I have no clue what level these mages are I really cant tell you how they would be effected. Beside they're not my characters.

They could be level 50 and laugh while lifting a hand turning the truck into dust. Or they could be level 15, the least they'd need to cast ONE 8th level spell, and just get completely obliterated and then run over.

Thats not really my call.

Though if your asking my opinon, by the amount of damage they seem to have taken from a split second spray, their shouldnt be anyone standing. Though in my opinion that level of mage should never seen any RP out of a DnD game, as you could have just Temporal Stasis'd the whole truck with one mage, and then finger of death/symbol of death'ed EVERYONE.

Its broken.

Edit: I was in two conversations, they bled over on each other.

A split second or a longer duration really makes no difference. It was the initial effects of the spray killing two with the huge head, three because they werent fast enough to defend, and the last was just unlucky.

Unless you want to say they all get murdered anyway, since you seem the most wrapped up about this and the whole NPC not able to defend themself thing.

Everyone knows intant kill attacks never work. Everyone automatically make their saves.

Admittedly I haven't been keeping all that close of an eye on things; but what's with all the D&D references being thrown around?

Y'know, I'm just going to edit the length of time part, since apparently a boneyard is takes a space of ten feet (maybe coiled, making it 20-30 feet or so) and the vehicle is moving at speeds of whatever, though I doubt one foot per second, and the shrapnel still has to cross the space between the truck and drow lines anyway.

I see. Well then thats really entirely up to you. I seriously doubt the head is the only large bone, since apparently it was able to spawn a different creatures head from the wreckage of the first. I assume the majority of the bones are large or mostly whole bones in size, because Darsh mentioned that me cutting it in half did only slight damage, and only broke "a few" bones. And well...look at that picture, its huge.

Again, your the only one that can say what your super speed shields can do. NPC's being able to defend themselves is an issue yes, but I'm more trying to push some level of fair play and originality.

I was under the impression that events were meant to be "fun", and or "enjoyable". My opinion completely left out of this, I have not voiced the comments of the other 6 players not including myself who were and are involved and dont seem to be enjoying themselves since they dont remember joining a DnD campaign, and yet dont feel its fair to be presented with the only option of, "deal with it, or get out, or die, because you've already lost". Simply put, the way things are, the ONLY way a player can survive is to BE a super uber such and such. If we're not, we're owned. So everyone trying NOT to mod/be cheap/stray away from super adamantine weapons or armor...Is screwed.

More on topic, A random NPC squad filled with high DnD mages, is disgustingly broken. Properly played that group alone can take out an army.

But I digress, they're your characters, your event, your running. And in the future I'll just let people speak for themselves.

@NI: We're facing DnD creatures, with DnD abilites, using DnD spells, and DnD effects. The only difference between this and a DnD Campaign is that its a computer screen not a board. And the limiters dont seem present.

Okay.

Now regardless I'm going to ignore your little sniping and ranting.

The private army hasn't called me back.

Sad, I wanted that job. "Here's an assault rifle and a door breaching charge. Go to town, boyo."

I ******** wanted that job.
