that's not vengence. what the Rathe Council did to Rallos Zek, his kids, and all his creations was vengence.
the Rallosian Empire, which spanned most of the world, was run by Ogres, Gaints, Goblins and Orcs. all of which were highly intelligent, very skilled in war. after all, they were the creations of the God of War. In thier arrogance, they opened a portal to teh Elemental plane of earth, and attempted to take on the Rathe Council. the 12 indentical beings that embody the element. they got thier asses kicked.
Amused, Rallos led a second campaign himself. where they did succeed in kill teh Council, temporarily. thier bodies and thier tears formed the Rathe Mountains and Lake Rathetear. However, since they didn't do teh job correctly..the Rathe Council locked Rallos and his demi-god kids in his own plane. sent half the giants to the forzen wastes of Velious, made the Ogres and the remaining giants as smart as a retarded child, consumed the goblins with cowardice, adn the orcs with greed..as well as stunting thier intelligence too.

actually Ogres are a 'evil' playable race hehe. and killing orcs is fun. actually, the name D'vinn is an NPC in the game who is the ambassador to the orcs for the tier'dal. wink
the giants were good killing, adn the one sin velious that still had brains..they were part of a three sided war. dwarves vs giants vs dragons.
there was aquest series in volving a ring, that you kept upgrading..it culminated in a litteral zone wide war between the dwarves and the giants were you the player and friends had to act as support for the dwarven defenders trying to repel the giants.

Anorock was made in four hours.
MOst of that was re-drawing the map I made...
I really need to find the original so I can place it somewhere...
I have the 1500YS Map in My photobucket... Hmm....
Whatever.
For my DnD world, Advoneria, I took the collapsed half-thought maps and turned it into a world full of too much stuff.
I'm not even sure if there are drow there...
Kellghn (not to be confused with his clone, Kellg'hn) was a half drow until he was cursed with being a Moon Elf.
Other than that, no mention of drow in history.

I never bothered to use them.
I'm a big fan of Drizzt (and more so of Jarlaxle), but I never botherd to include any underdark campaigns.
*shrug*
It doesn't matter. The surface world was more fun. I rather enjoyed killing off King Arthur, Merlin, and Robin Hood. Damn unoriginal PCs...

Not only did I kill them, I also caused the entire country of Avelon to seperate from the mainland by causing the contenant to spread away from it. (adding a rather North-South American looking contenant to the plane, but hey, it let me clear the slaight).
The tidal waves alone destroyed most of the know world, not to mention the shifts in climate on that contenant.

YEah, I think I am going to go too.
ANd remember, if thigns get to placid on your plane, nothing shakes everything up like a good natural desaster... or a mage.
