Tora smiled. "I'm glad you like my idea," she said. "I think we should go early August, so that way the water is sure to feel good!"

"Yes!" Tora smiled. "Bentos for everyone! Oh, I can tell it's going to be a great trip." Tora paused. "I'm glad we're thinking of it now... there's much to discuss to keep our girls safe," she said with a concerned look. As head Geisha, the Okiya and the girls within's safety were her top priority.

"Do not worry, I am sure we will keep the girls very safe. Plus it will be a good experience for all of the girls because some of them may have never been to the beach,"Serena replied.

Tora smiled and nodded. "I agree." She sighed contently, remembering the days with her mother. "I remember going to the beach when I was younger," she began, "with my Mom and Grandmother."

"I would always want to go really far out to swim, but my Mother always said I couldn't let the water go above my belly button. 'Well, that's no fun!' I said. So when I thought she wasn't looking, I dived under and swam out and then back in very quickly. Well, I didn't think my Mother was looking... boy was I wrong: I got my hide tanned! (And not by the sun!)," Tora said, laughing.

Serena laughed merrily at Tora's story.
"I am sure that was a day to rememeber. Now I was more the one who wouldn't want to go too far in the water, prefering to stay near the beach,"Serena said.

Tora smiled and took a drink of her tea. "Yeah... well, I was a really strong swimmer, and I loved diving under the water to look at what was underneath," she added.

"Me, too," Tora replied. "I was always by myself. I was rarely with children my age... I was always with my mother and grandmother," she said, taking another sip of tea. "And when I wasn't training or studying, I was drawing or reading," she added with a chuckle.
