Sorry everyone!
I had to jet down to London for a few days. The guys I know decided to have a 'Guys night out', and decided the location should be London. Now, these guys are part of the RLFC I support, they are the future players.
On Wednesday night, Jace (A good friend of mine.) was initiated into a fight, over what team he played for. His head was smashed through a table, and he was thrown backwards down the stairs, landing on the concreted flooring at the bottom.
He suffered a broken neck, and torn ligaments in his neck, and is undergoing reconstructive surgery, though he has been told it may be possible for him to play again. I've been down in London with him inbetween his theater appointments.
Sorry about not being here. n.n;. I should be now, because he's been transferred back up to the B.R.I (Bradford Royal Infirmary), and I've smuggled him chocolate, grapes, and some half decent in date magazines. ninja .
..And no. My tonsils are still there. Giving me paaaiiin. Pain I tell you! gonk

I hope he can play again. I know I would be upset if I couldn't draw or write anymore...

(Damn...I can never rememebr what the term is for paralaysis from teh neck down.......quad something or other.....or is that the waist down?) I hope he can play again. I know I would be upset if I couldn't draw or write anymore... As he fell down the stairs, his neck was broken on the left side. A bone had snapped, leaving his head at too much of an angle to the left, so muscle and ligaments in the right side of his neck strained and snapped, which are repairable. The bone can be set with a metal pin and plates, which will re enforce it, allowing him to play sport again.
He isnt paralyzed thank God, and his place in the squad has been reserved, even though it could take years for him to be up to playing potential again. He has the guts to do it, luckily, and we all reckon he'll get through it and be playing next year sometime. Till then, all we can do is be his slaves. Which he's loving, may I add xd .

There have been instances where people have been seriously paralyzed by falling down staris, such as your friend did. Let us all pray for a speedy recovery! Out of curiosity, where did the bone break? Oh, and here are a few weird injuries. My sister got a black eye from tripping, and I had to get three stiches becuase I got walloped in the head with a plastic sand bucket! PLASTIC!!!!!!!!!!

I wasnt at the actual accident, I travelled down while he was in surgery. The Doctors down there are arrogant twats, and wont give me much more information, never mind poor Jace.

Black Cat Godess Oh, and here are a few weird injuries. My sister got a black eye from tripping, and I had to get three stiches becuase I got walloped in the head with a plastic sand bucket! PLASTIC!!!!!!!!!! I broke my nose while trying to get a piece of sponge (bath sponge) out, that I'd stuck up there. I was only 4 or 5. When it didnt work, they let the nose heal. It wasnt till they smelled rotting flesh that they realised they'd left the sponge up there, and they had to rebreak it to get it out.
