Icarus grunted in agreement at Thane's reply, a slightly mischievously entertained look crossing his face as he worked BB's controls. The bird narrowly avoided Tyme's flailing flists.

"I guess..." He said, jostling an arm into Gil's shoulder by accident. B.B gave another mechanical chirp before going to jam it's beak hard into Tyme's wrist. "...you have a point there."

Goddamn Januses Muna thought, jerking in surprise as Acwel suddenly whipped around and and slammed another wall of air at Ty and Ziza....

...and turned his back to Muna.

Muna silently urged magic into his marble, tapping into the power of the wings inside of it. Heat coursed into his palm as the glass heat up, and a scimitar materialized in his hand. Exhaustion creeped up the edges of his consciousness, but Muna shoved it away and rushed forward. There wasn't going to be another opportunity like this.

He swung the blade around so it fit in a reverse position into his hand, and then Muna rammed it into Acwel's side.

" 'Now we match,' " He taunted lowly.

The blade disappeared. Muna collapsed, world going black.

There was a lot of commotion, and a lot of injuries happening, and a lot of Elvira's housemates getting in over their heads. It was terrible, it was the shittiest thing in the world to watch them struggle, but it was the only thing Elvira could do. They refused to leave Finley's side, choosing instead to drag their friend around to find the others.

Asha was easy to spot. Elvira marched right up to her, curling a hand into the edge of her shirt. "Asha, if we survive this, we're ******** dating. No complaints."

"Kids first." Marianne informed Loren quietly, eyes on Leah as she flit in. Marianne squinted at her. Right, this one was...the infiltrator? The crazy as ******** infiltrator.

"About as nice as it'll treat you when I get you stuck in nice, peaceful solitary confinement." Marianne called out, hands glowing faintly. She watched Leah carefully. From the little Marianne could remember from the files Naomi pulled up, this girl was a summoner; which meant Marianne only had split second opportunities when she was drawing her circles.

Marianne took a step forward and cast a Fleet on herself. "Are we just going to stand here all day or are you gonna hit me?"

Merchant was going to kill her for this.

(Well by the end of everything, Merchant was going to have a whole lot than just this to kill her over, but that was an issue she didn't really want to think about right now.)

      Sᴄᴏᴜᴛ

A little more and perhaps Acwel would've made the first kill of the day. It would've been so simple, three birds, one stone, shut up the brats once and for all--

          Acwel didn't see him coming.

The blind elf's air magic cut out instantly as he staggered, registering the pain from his right. A Blade, a Blade of acid no less... but how the hell had a kid like him managed that? They were supposed to be helpless kids, no better off than mundanes...

We... underestimated them. These... damn Merlin kids...!

"You... little... brat..." Acwel managed, before following Muna in suit and collapsing as well.

          (One down.)

          (Five to go.)

It was official. Tyme ******** hated birds. Even mechanical ones. Especially mechanical ones. They yanked their wrist clear of BB, twisting automatically to avoid another potential incoming blo--

Oh. ********. That was empty air.

Tyme fell with a shout, having enough sense to Soften the ground beneath them before they hit. The spheres wavered, but didn't break. "Ugh... goddamn bird," they muttered, sitting up and taking stock.

Wait... s**t. They had one quartz, but where the hell did the other go!? And more importantly, which sphere was it for?

(Anyone can take the quartz yo. Anyone can also take Tyme. C'mon my dudes.)

Michael's expression shifted into one of genuine sympathy. "Oh gosh, it really does hurt when you aren't used to it," he said sympathetically. "I guess you don't need to use it often if it hurts, huh? That's pretty lucky! I wish I could get on with my life without having to rely on taint magic."

He tilted his head with a smile. This Bambi girl sure was more interesting than she gave herself credit for. You didn't usually find someone willing to stop and chat in the middle of a hostage situation. "Ehh, yeah, you half-dwarves really got the short end of the stick. We don't have any half-dwarves, only a half-elf and a dwarf, but they're suuuper strong though I don't know where either of them went." Someone yelled and Michael glimpsed a brown blur falling off the Oak. "Oh. Well there's Tyme."

"Anyway!" Michael's smile brightened. "Are there any other half-dwarves besides you? They must be in the same boat, right?"

Leah's smile didn't falter. "Awwww, solitary confinement?" she purred. "That doesn't sound very fun! I would rather be at my darling Gisa's side after all."

          (Somewhere, Gisa felt disgusted.)

"Guess that means I just have to take care of you quickly!" Leah grinned and tugged off her gloves, tossing them on the ground. They were ******** pointless as a summoner anyway.

Leah didn't waste anymore time talking. She spun a sigil, the same one she'd cast in the Headmaster's Office months ago, and a gun flashed into her hands.

          BANG.

          OOC:

End was free. Dazed. In pain. Crushed blueberry-coloured bruise forming on his shoulder, a result of a needle moving about beneath the skin.

He managed to move himself along on his knees, keeping balance with the arm that wasn't holding his wound. He made his way over to Muna. He had no magic to Diagnose him, he just hoped that he'd be alright.

He looked over at Ty and Ziza. He was so glad they were alright. For now.

Lᴏʀᴇɴ Mᴏʀᴇᴛᴛɪ
Loren nodded at Marianne's command, scanning the grounds for where they could be most useful. A blood pact member had fallen and the spheres wavered. It didn't take a rocket scientist to know that that one was controlling them, or whatever held them up. They were searching for something.

If they could manage to get the spheres down it would give the kids a chance to run or the adults a chance to help. So when Loren saw the glint in the grass, they dashed over and picked it up in their hands. It was recognizable as enchanted, and with the last of their traces of magic it was Broken.

Foolishly, they looked over their shoulder at the sound of a gunshot. "Miss Mari?"

Marianne didn't have the magic to waste on a turtle or an improb; she attempted a side step instead, the bullet grazing her body instead of going through. Her expression twitched and she glanced at the wound. It was deep, but it wasn't a hole. Better than nothing.

"Focus, Lor!" Mari shouted, aiming a tar at Leah's hands. s**t. If only Marianne had a better way to gauge just how good this chick was; she had absolutely no clue if she could hold up. A Blood Pact operative at full strength while she wasn't was asking for just a bit too much. She could feel herself wasting energy. It wasn't good.

Well, first thing to do was to close the distance. She wasn't a long ranged fighter. Marianne took charge, curling her hand into a fist with every intention to bring it hard into Leah's stomach.

User ImageAsha looked at Amanda. "Do not. Sacrifice yourself," she said, slightly perturbed by Amanda's willingness.

Goodness, this scene was a ********. She was mildly surprised very relieved when Elvira and Finley appeared. All that remained were Gwen Nivere and Adriene.

She listened to Elvira for a moment, and suddenly the whole day made sense. The sudden appearance of the blood pact, the magical spheres, the fighting, and the confession were completely normal. Asha was going to have to see a mental healer about such strange and vivid dreams.

The hand twisting in her shirt felt almost too real, though. She had to make sure, and cleared her throat. "Pinch me."

Ty shouted in pain as he was slammed into the barrier. On the ground he slowly wrapped his arms around his sides and rocked onto his back, trying to minimize the stabbing feeling in his lungs. He really hoped he didn't have a concussion.

With an eye cracked open he watched Muna stab Acwel and would have sung in relief he wasn't scared that it would make his chest hurt more. Ty was beginning to feel like a terrorist punching bag. A bullet to the shoulder, flung across a clearing, and slammed into the sphere. There's one for the history books, he thought blearily, and hoped he hadn't disappointed Bambi too much.

Ty wheezed and looked at Ziza, making the 'tap out' sign with his hand. He wasn't going to be moving by himself for a little while.
