Utsuha Moon *flails* I really don't know what to write, especially considering how I'm the last one who posted. o A o I know you were, I was honestly, just referring to the people who hadn't posted yet, but I quote everyone just so that you all would see it. Once the rest of the cadets have posted, then I will begin the training.

Okay...I'm back from Hiatus. I was gone a lot longer than I anticipated. I've been really stressed out, so I apologize for that. I was just wondering if any of the crew could inform me on what's happened with the 2nd cadet legion? I left, not only because of personal problems, but because I didn't really expect the training to finish quickly.

I feel like, in a sense, it's because the guild lacks... activity? And leadership. If someone is willing (and able) to take charge, and get the rest of the other crew members going, that would give the guild several pluses. The activity level I feel would be boosted if there were events, or just missions, or even chances for people to roleplay outside of cadet training (aside from one-on-one rps, because some people just don't like it). At the moment, the only thing to do is cadet training, which requires to wait on people who are either inactive or not roleplaying at all (which I am guilty of orz). If we quote people left and right, we could all decide to wing an event that might allow the members to reconnect with their characters and bring this guild back to life?

Believe me, I'm always behind reviving a guild I loved, but that does not mean that all of the Crew are ready or willing to do that. This is all good and a great idea but as Hrorik stated not all the crew are ready and willing to do that.. i have had 4 people within the past month resign from this guild because of their real life or because of joining other guilds, the facts are that this guild is sadly dying from the lack of co-operation from other crew members, so far i have been expected as Vice to take the complete strain of this guild just as R-chan had done.. that is neither fair on me or it's members here. Should an Event be made the whole pressure to put it all together would rely on me and the remaining crew that want to get off their bottoms to do something..Sadly there is not enough of us and most have been busy with school or work to concentrate upon the guild. I really do like the idea of an event though.

The thing is though, you don't need more than one crew member to run an event. You don't need to rely on the activity of other crew members to decide what to do and what not to do. If the event isn't successful in bringing people back, then so be it. If it is successful, then demote the old and promote a new batch of people who are willing and able to provide leadership to the rest of the members. I am the Vice Captain of another guild, and it's really active. Granted, it might be due in part because of the sheer size of the fandom (Harry Potter), but nevertheless I must share my experience running events there: No more than three crew members were needed at a time. The events, as long as one person is there to answer questions and another is there to make sure the plot goes accordingly, there is absolutely no reason to not leave the rest to the members. This is a literate guild, whose members I believe are veteran roleplayers who know what they're doing. The event doesn't have to be large, like "har har titans are knocking down the wall and a shifter is attacking Wall Rose," but it could be something small like a couple titans are attacking a group of people building Maria. In this case, the active members can roleplay their cadets saving the day and being moronic monkeys because limited training. The titans can be treated as NPC's, and a set of rules can be set like "you can't kill more than one titan per post" so people won't kill too many and turn their character into some deus ex machina. Captains and Commanders can, however, because more experience/etc. Skip logical explanations like "why would some cadets be there?" because that would take away from the roleplaying experience--not everything needs to make 100% sense or else you'll find it really hard to enjoy it all.
The best events usually come from setting a couple ground rules and the letting the members freely roleplay (within those ground rules). If an event is plotted from beginning to end, that doesn't give the roleplayers much freedom to create, and thus sometimes less enjoyable than unplanned events. This is what I have observed as VC of my other guild, but it makes sense, right? It's kind of like the argument within the economy system--is a capitalist economy better than a centralized economy (or vice versa)? The answer is no, for a mixed economy is usually what is opted for. (I apologize for going on a tangent.)
