Captivated by the stream of piercings coming off, Kevin looked up at Caspar's face. Without the jewelry decorating his face, the blonde looked like entirely different person. Kevin was now able to see Caspar's features more clearly, he had soft features and nice cheekbones; his eyebrows were finely plucked and curved nicely to accent his blue eyes. Kevin nearly stayed lost in those eyes but managed to shake his head and mind off it. "You.... Yiu look really nice." he said shyly and began rubbing his unbandaged arm.

Caspar MacKenzie Caspar blushed unexpectedly, his left hand rising to rub the back of his neck nervously. "Th-thanks," he replied, unused to the lightweight feeling of his naked face. It was like he was a little kid again, waiting with his parents to get his first ear piercing. Looking up, he slowly lost the image of Kevin with his piercings and started to admire the beauty of Kevin without the harsh metal. The boy was really something to see. Slender, almost girlish build, smooth pale skin, and starkly contrasted raven hair that looked coarse, but was soft to the touch, plump pink lips that almost begged to be kissed, and all amongst other attributes the blonde could only wish for. It was nearly astounding to the worldly teen how, in all his travels, the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen was this small town boy with scars all over his arms. Scooting just a bit closer, Caspar cleared his throat and attempted a smile, succeeding only in looking like a nervous boy about to ask out the girl of his dreams. "You know, I-I think facial piercings wouldn't do you justice," he said, managing to mostly suppress his nervous stutter. The blonde dared to reach up stroke Kevin's cheek, blushing darker as his hand fell back to his side, fingers tingling. "It takes a certain level of harshness to be able to wear them, and there doesn't seem to be a harsh thing about you. Even... even your eyes are soft." Caspar reached up again to brush hair from Kevin's face, taking a moment to look into his eyes before glancing up to his hair. "But I do know one thing that would look good on you." Moving closer, he brought up his other hand to work on a small strand of hair by Kevin's ear. His fingers pinched the strand, pulling down slowly and rubbing it. Soon enough, the black began to bleed away, now turning a pretty shade of red. Soon, the strand was dyed completely, and Caspar reached into his pocket to pull out a small hand mirror. He handed it to Kevin, smiling. "Here, take a look."

Seeing Caspar lean in, Kevin felt his breath shorten and his heartbeat flutter. The fingers that brushed against his cheek left his skin tingling and his body wanting more. These feelings were new to him, and they frightened him. Still flustered by the touches and by how close they were, Kevin sat there in a daze as his hair was manipulated. Before he knew it, Caspar was looking at him expectantly. "Huh? ...Oh!" He noticed red out of the corner of his eye and reached up to touch it. He looked at the strand of red hair and guffawed at it. "Whoa..." he marveled and smiled brightly at Caspar. "It looks so good! How'd you learn to do this?"

Caspar MacKenzie The blonde grinned sheepishly at the praise and ruffled his own hair in an "aw shucks" manner. "My mom and I stopped off in Milan when I was ten and she got to help with a fashion shoot. The lady doing the hair was running late, so my mom stepped up and taught me how to use our magic to change hair colors. It's really more of an illusion that anything, but it's more real than what I used to cover my arms." He suddenly reached over to touch the stand again, the color brightening at its creator. "It'll stay in until I take it out, as bright as it is right now. If you don't like it, I can always change it back."

"No, I like it like this." Kevin said while continuing to stare at the strand. "What's it like to have magic?" he asked shortly after and looked over at Caspar. "It must be awfully convenient, right? Especially with..." he drifted off and looked at his unwrapped arm. He would have to do some calculations later to see how much he would have saved if he could use magic instead of bandages.

Caspar MacKenzie "I guess it has the occasional perk, but it's mostly stupid," said the blonde honestly, leaning back to look at the sky. "I mean, you have to learn all these spells, and a lot of them are really hard and take loads on concentration. A long-term illusion spell, like the one on my arms, can be pushed into the back of your mind, but it takes a while to master that. Permanent ones, though, are the hardest, because you have to be sure you're making the right choice. It's like the ones that kill people or disable them." He sighed and looked back to Kevin, reaching out to brush his fingers against Kevin's arm, several scars sinking into Kevin's skin. "It can be helpful, though. It's helped me learn all the instruments I know, and it keeps my skin looking clear of scars. It's also really great at protecting others, and alerting me to my father's unannounced visits with my mother. Oh, and it does one more thing." Caspar reached up and stroked his hair down, smiling to himself as his ears suddenly perked up, twitching slightly. "Ta-da!"

Caspar could say whatever he wanted, Kevin was sure that having magic would make his life so much easier. With magic he could've defended himself whenever the entire school at his hometown attacked, he could've helped himself sleep better even when his parents were arguing, he could've saved Alfred. Kevin stopped for a second. Alfred... Feeling his heart sink at the still fresh and gaping wound, Kevin tried desperately to think of another subject. Fortunately, that came in the form of.... cat ears? Seeing them suddenly pop up from Caspar's head, Kevin squeaked and jumped back until his back hit the tree once more. "What...?" he whispered, more confused than stunned at the moment. "Cat ears.... Why.... Why do you..... Why do you have....?"

Caspar MacKenzie The blonde immediately smooth his hair back down, the ears gone again. Advancing slowly and cautiously, he was soon close to Kevin once more. "I told you. My father's a neko, and my mother's a witch. When I was younger, I wasn't good enough at my magic to hide them, and my mother wanted me to learn to do it myself. So one day, at a family reunion, I accidentally let them loose, and the family then turned against us. It was the last time I saw my extended family, since my dad's were pretty much dead to us already." The wind ruffled his blonde locks, and he looked out to the side, remembering how he'd left that get-together. Seeing his beloved family members jeer and throw things at him and his parents had really angered him then, but now it only made him sad. They never really cared about him after all. Suddenly, he laughed exasperatingly, then looked back up at Kevin. "Here," he sighed, taking Kevin's hand and lifting it to his head. He smoothed the relatively soft hand over his head for a second before pushing his spell away and the soft yellow ears once again sprang up. "See? They're real."

Neko.... Neko.... Oh, right. He recalled the manga books he read in his hometown (and the ones he still reads in his dorm) and the term neko vaguely returned to his mind. Half-cat, half-human. He couldn't believe those existed. With a yelp Kevin found his hand on Caspar's head. He was such a straightforward guy, Caspar, he insisted on having random body parts touched and never seemed to mind. That was a trait he admired and wished he could've had. Oh, and his hair was so soft and smooth. Kevin winced when he felt the ears, but he felt them too. So soft... Just like- "Just like a cat." Kevin mumbled while scratching the back of Caspar's ears.

Caspar MacKenzie Caspar gasped and blushed at the feeling of of scratching behind his ears. He arched his back and closed his eyes, purring softly. "Hah! Th-that...that's nice," he mumbled, pushing his head against Kevin's hand. His body managed to fall closer to Kevin's, his cheek growing redder at the realization of how catlike he was acting.

Kevin smiled when he heard Caspar's purring. It sounded so cute, and so did that look on Caspar's face. So cute, in fact, that he didn't even notice how much closer he got. It was unbelievable how much Caspar felt like a real cat - those really furry ones with long hair. Curious, he moved his other hand and scratched behind both ears. "Do you have a tail, too?" he asked.

Caspar MacKenzie "Uh....uh-huh," he managed to answer, his purring multiplying as both his ears were stimulated. "I-I can try to sh-show...ooohh....show you i-if you want." The half-neko tried to offer cooly, but he was too far gone to speak normally.

Ah, the purring got louder. He smiled at the work he was doing, Caspar could barely talk correctly. It reminded him of the cat he had at his home. Well, it wasn't really his cat, it walked around the neighborhood, and one day he gave it a bowl of milk. That cat stayed around his house ever since thing. Alfred helped him raise it, and his parents didn't seem to even notice. That cat was somewhat comfort whenever he needed it, but it ran away a few months before he received that message over Alfred's death. "Yeah, can I pet it, too?" Kevin asked as he got closer himself.

Caspar MacKenzie The blonde whimpered softly, then exhaled. "O-okay," he sputtered out as his tail suddenly seemed to lift from the grass and curled around to meet Kevin. The light yellow tail curled and stretched, aching from being cooped up for so long, then reached out and settled on Kevin's thigh. Caspar could barely contain himself. He purred, his whole body vibrating with pleasure, and blushed brightly. It was as if he was thirteen years old again with that girl behind the poolhouse. Then again, Kevin seemed to be better at petting his ears than that silly twit back in Salem.

Seeing the tail, or more feeling it against his thigh, Kevin brightened up. He moved his left hand away from Caspar's head and brought it down to the tail, curling his warm fingers against it gently. It was just as soft as the ears, but he supposed he shouldn't have been surprised. It was warm, too, and even a bit twitchy. It was cute. Kevin smiled and stroked the tail slowly, enjoying the feeling of the fur against his fingertips as they reached the tip.
