CalledTheRaven Pretty much a classical mythology overview. I have irritation with the instructor. That's cool. The mythology class I took my freshman year was a lot of Greek with a little bit of Roman.

The mythology class I took my freshman year was a lot of Greek with a little bit of Roman. My Non-western World Lit professor thinks I should take the "Myth, Ritual and Magic" Anthropology class. I'm nervous- because I think I'd end up beating my head on my desk.

Though I'm planning to take a similar lit class next semester.

Morgandria I really really dislike that new Trilune's Whatever-the-Hell it is item. Way to feed the "I'm a Pretty Purple Priestess for realz" crowd, Gaia. Trilune's Covenant? It makes me think "Wiccan" fluffy bunnies. I've been reading the little thingy dingy about it in the announcements. I only use the book pose. I haven't really been feeling the rest of the item yet.

I like a few poses from Trilune's Covenant, actually. The descriptions make me cringe, though.
You remember that guy who kept going around saying he and his wife were 3rd degree Wiccans, and they're both like 22? He has a petition up for "more Pagan items" or something, seems reasonable that Trilune was made to placate that petition.

That reminds me: I need to go visit the forest and commune with teh Lawd and Laydee who are generic representations of whatever deities I feel like misappropriating today - Frigg and Cernunnos would work well! The land around me totally needs more love and junk. Oh, and the pentagrams; need more of those. Need a ton of them. I have a pentagram shower curtain and stuff - it shows the unique and special link I have with mother nature, because all pagans worship mother earth. If they don't, they're ebil christians.
EDIT: Gave teh Lawd and Laydee names to further poke fun at fluffy pagans.

I love how is tradition kept changing to try to mask that they're not really Wiccan. I think I've seen him call themselves Celtic, then Frost, and then Gardnerian. There might have been another one in there but I don't remember or not. I didn't sleep at all and I have to leave in an hour. Yay for having to deal with some other battle. At least its non-religious. But I laugh at how it kinda reminds me of fluffy bunnies and Wicca.

Eh, I like the items. Some of them I can see myself using but I agree, the descriptions are horrible.
I saw that petition too. I hope they did that to shut that guy up because wow he drives me nuts.

A lot of the items are a little...off for one reason or another. I mean, the "pagan" items are one kind of silly but so are the mythology based ones.

Although my current situation is shitty as hell, basically my grades have landed me in a heap of s**t at home and lack of money has me unable to go back to school this semester, my Path is going well. I am working easier and easier with My Bear and I feel a stronger connection to Thor and Odin. A lot safer knowing they are watching though I don't talk to Them much.
