There aren't too many big conventions around where I live. xp

You mean Anime Weekend Atlanta, right? I haven't been to either yet, but I was under the impression that they were about the same size. It's a really big deal from what I hear from everyone who lives around here. You can just google momocon. It's the first result. 3nodding

That's a clever name for it! xd Ohayo sounds like Ohio! blaugh But, I don't live in that area. Aside from Atlanta, the only cons that I think that I would have a prayer of getting to would be in Florida. However, it would take a whole lot of gas to get to any of those. @_@ Atlanta is only about 2 1/2 hours away, so it's not that much of a drive.

That I'm not going to drive all the way to Ohio? Do you have any idea how long it would take me to drive there? I would be on the road all day long. @_@ Not to mention that gas is going up again. sweatdrop

I believe we're expecting to exceed 10k next year. ALSO FF13 GET

It wouldn't do me any good to get FFXIII right now. I'm too busy with classes. xp But, I'm planning on playing it right after I graduate in May. Maybe I can ask for it as a graduation present. xd

FF13 is out? What about GoW3?
It sucks, for the first several years of these new consoles there was ******** all to play other than one or two titles. And at christmas I got Ninja Gaiden 2, Fallout 3, and RE5. And I've been busy with work and reading and other things so I haven't even got to play them yet. Nevermind going out and buying new games. I'd rather wait for the price to go down anyway. New titles are outrageously expensive these days.

Yeah, I mean, who has $70 for a video game? xp The last gen console games never went above $50. I wonder why there was a change.

lilchibiusa Yeah, I mean, who has $70 for a video game? xp The last gen console games never went above $50. I wonder why there was a change. I remember a few games being $59.99, but those were really big titles like Dragon Quest 8, Collector's Edition FF12, and maybe a few others. Most of them were $49.99 on release. They claim it's production values and the disc formats of this generation, but I know damn well it's because they want to gouge us as much as they can. CODMW2 cost 40 million to create. They've made over 1 billion so far and I'm sure it's still selling for $60.

Poor college students without jobs can't just pull out $70 whenever a new game comes out. And aren't most buyers of video games in high school or college?
