Eliot wiped the tears with a paw.

No you are right, he would not like to see me hurt this way. She smiled a little, he saved so many of the pups...

I do not even know where Warren is, nor where I could find him, or where to start, and then i wonder that if i do make the effort, will he care? She was trying hard but she sniffed, keeping her tears back.

I don't even know where to look!

tanundra looked once up at the door...where his beloved Oracle was speaking with her cousin. He knew she wouldn't want him to do this...but Eliotwas so depressed. A dragon with a heart, he couldn't leave her like that.

Well now, there are two poeple, an old wizard named Stoenshaper and his daughter, Rydia. Meilikki sent them to seek out a place. Now...she did this after hearing about something from her cousing. what do yuo think that sometihng was?

It will be extremely dangerous, young one. But...you could follow the two magi. Sniff them out with that nose of yours. They left round back.

Eliots sniffelng stopped. And she thought for only a moment.

The Hooded man! They might be looking for the corn fields!

She lept to her feat, gave the dragon a very wolf-like kiss on his cheak, Please tell Roarke I will see him back at the accademy! And She bounded to the back. She came back soon though. Can you tell me, which scent belongs to them? I have several different scents coming and going here....

Her heart was pounding, she wasn't even thinking. She was only acting

She turned her attention back to the imps a moment, patting them on the head. "Now now, collars aren't a bad thing all the time." And to make a point she raised a hand and tapped on her own collar. Locked around her neck forever, unable to be taken off by anyone but Malik and only by her request. And she never planned to request that...it could be choking her and she'd fight anyone taking it from her. If they wanted it they'd have to take off her head first. A soft laugh and a smile. "Don't worry...he'll leave you alone.." Then her voice turned to a whisper. "And you can always hide behind me."

The old wizard, and the female witch. They are the only one's of their kind to pass out back. He lowered his head. Do not let them see you. Follow at a distance. They are powerful, and knowledgable. It woudl not do for them to find you.

Be careful little one.

"You're caller doesn't mean you can't live the way you were born to. Collaring us would."

But the smiled, and winked. "Of course." They knew who to run to to save their own hides.

Eliot nodded that she would take his advice, she stopped again to nuzzle the dragon in thanx. And then dashed off to the back. Iwas not long before she was able to pick out a wizard and the witch, only by their scent she could tell they were powerful beings. She followed, and being a wolf, felt pretty confident in her abilities to keep hidden.

Warren's legs shook as he carefully made his way in this place he did not know. The goping was slow, and very painful. Ever run a mile, then try to run up five flights of stairs? Well, for someone whi simply could not build muscle mass, it was twenty times worse than that. A few steps had his thighs bruning, the bottums of his feet aching. Bode held on to one of his hands, he could not lift her.

It was cold, it was damp. Warren's hair was soon plastered to his skull, and Bode was having troulbe keeping up. She left a trail behind them. It cracked walls and floors, crumbled things and made things slippery...the ywould soon be found out if they did not move quickly.

The dead...the souless...ignored the two. It had soemthing to do with that odd potin they had been fed.

"Keep close, Bode." He whispered.

"Okay, Mr. Warren." She kept as close to those tattered waist rones as she possibly could. Little did she know that if she was not there to balance him....Warren might have fallen over.

Warren ducked into a doorframe, tcuked Bode behind him and put a hand over her mouth.

Two lab coats walked by, discussing something. Warren closed his eyes...praying....

But alas....one of the coats slipped in Bode's ooze, and while the one bent down to help up his camrad, he spotted the two in the doorframe. He pointed and yelled.

"Damn it! Run Bode!"

Rydia and her father traveled slowly through the udnerdark. They did not know how far they would need to go, or what they were looking for really. They had some vauge descriptions of the mage to go by.

Rydia didn;t understand what she was doing, following orders given to he by that...Oracle woman that the drwo captain had saved. What right did she have to boss her around? But she was a slave now, she did as she was told.

Stone shaper stopped a moment, looking behind them.

"What is it Father?"

"Nothing for the moment." He continued on.

Eliot Followed the Wizard and the Witch at what she considered a reasonable distance. She kept them just in sight, there had been only the one time where she had come upon them very close, she hadn't realized they had stopped for a moment. So she had started to follow at a higher level. So that she could see them always, keepinging them in sight, following. She kept herself downwind just in case they understood smells. she didn't know if they could sence her pressence, but if they could she kept it as not threataning as possible, whihc is hard to do when they are nto actually lookign at you. She hoped that since she had a pure intent, then she would be all right.

Rydia and Stoneshaper continued to movie on at a stead pace, and they did not look back again. Sometiems they stopped for a bit of a rest, or to do some scrying and search spells. but other than that they did not notice,,,whatever it was that had been behind them.

Soon, they changed direction, headeding North West.

The real Rydia and stone shaper watched their own forms pull off to the North West, they changed their direction to the North East.

Eliot followed, keepign a close watch, she hoped the made it soon, she really wanted to find Warren. She was really proud of herself, so far the witch and wizard had not noticed her, had not senced her! She flet good. She hoped it would not be much longer until they came to the corn fields.

Warren panted and plodded along down the corridor, Bode holding his hand in in toe. It was a Wonder they hadn't been caught yet, but the girl's bad luck kept tripping up the lab coats. They were firing sometihng at them out of long thin rods. Whatever it was blasted agianst the walls, amking parts of them crumble and fall off.

They slipped in the ooze, or the ceiling would crash down on them, ot the floor would burst upwards as if in an earthquake. Bless the little girl for heling t mka good their escape. But Warren did not knowhow much longer he could run, he didn't know the way out, didn't know where to turn.

"Mr. Warren! They're in front of us!"

Damn it, limping now, Warren turned down a hall. And damn his luck...there was notihng but a door at the end. If this led to a room, then they were done for.

((speading up the travel a bit....))

Nearing the Wizen Watch Tower ruins, the two spectral images turned around thefallen building. But when Eliot went to follow, they were no longer there.

Rydia and her father were getting close to their destination. The distinct structure of the corn fields was easy to discearn, being so highly different from any other plant or animal, seeing as how it was both. Topping a rideg, they gazed down into the rows and rows of corn. It stretched on as far as the could see, and people in white lab coats tended the plants here and there.

"There. We have found the place. let us move back to the keep."

Rydia was about to follow her father, but turned back. There was something oddly...familiar...about this place....

Eliot's head suddenly went up. She had seen it, they dissapeared! But she recoganized where she was, she was at that tower she had once visited with Warren, the fisrt time they had met.

She ran down to the place where she had seen the two disapear. She sniffed around but she could find no scent, none! She could only smell her own. She ran in circles, certain that there shoudl be some trace of the two. She sat suddenly. She had stopped lookign for scent and had only been following visually. They must have tricked her! or she would have found a scent! She panicked, what about Warren!

She took off in the direction that she had come, even though she was nearing her limits as a wolf, and it would take hours to go back...
PostPosted: Fri Nov 25, 2005 6:12 pm

Warren Opened the door, thrust his shoulder agianst his hinges. He was nearing his limit, he was almost done for. He couldn't go on for much longer. Bode was tripping more and more...she couldn't keep up with the flow of her void.

With an amazing show of will over body, Warren scooped the child ip in his arms, and held her against his chest. He ran out the door...

...and into a corn field. Where they outside? No, it wasn't possible, there was...hope....

The only reason why he kept moving now was the principal of momentum. He was already moving forward, and slightly down hill, putting one foot in front of the other was happening by accident. Warren's arms were shaking, he couldn't hold the child much longer.

"Mr. Warren! Watch out!"

Bad luck turned on him, and hit him squear in the back, sending his frail body to the ground.

"Come Rydia. Lets us go now."

She didn't say anything. An essence eminated up from the cornfeild, slight, and almost non-existant. She blinked. She was drawn to it, and yet the pull was so shallow that she almost ignored it. Taking to chance she started down into the fields.

Eliot ran.

Throwing herself by a near creak she gulpe water down quickly. she had long ago reverted back into her human form, she was to tired to go further in that baody. one hand on the ground, and the other one her knee, she panted for a moment, taking only the slightests of breaks. She had no idea how far she had to go before she would once again find th scents of the wizard and the witch, but she could feel a growing concern in the center of her chest.

She lifted her head, sniffed the air, adn took off at a dead run. Not noticing that her eyes, were still yellow.
