I personnally think its better done then the duels in the actual films... This just seems much more brutal at times.

The effects were excellent, the music good, and dont get me wrong, the stuff they did was impressive in its own right.
But I am a stickler for realism. Real saber combat would be a hell of alot quicker. And I wasnt convinced of any real rivalry between them. Just two guys swinging sticks around. Those two factors ruined it for me.

Coure, the end was awesome. Ryan stabs Dork, and goes all evil at the last moment, then gets sliced in half.

Meh.
Ryan shouldnt have pissed around. He should have just killed him.
Thats what happens when you lose focus. You lose.

stellarmagic Both II and III. Especially III. Agreed. By round two of the prequels the combat was getting ridiculous. Darth Maul's fight, lengthy as it was, still owned.

Mostly because of the use of a double-bladed lightsaber. The Jedi just can't seem to come up with a strategy to defeat such an opponent until that second blade is eliminated.

Pros* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Style - Skill - Reversed Roles - Graphics and Effects - Satire - Lack of Bad Voice Acting
Cons* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Length - Lack of Voice Acting period - Not much Jedi or Sith emotion - No martial arts or impressive feats (backflips, etc.)

They really cant. No one has seen a double blader since Exar Kun. And thats alot of time. Maul was a skilled fighter. He could have easily pawned Dooku. Dooku wouldnt be able to handle Maul's style. Maul would also have smacked Ventriss around too. And Grievous' silly moves wouldnt even give him pause. Vader is the only Sithling who could stand against Maul with a chance of Victory.

As an example of technical prowess with movie magic it was excellent. As an example of Martial skill it was lacking.

Vader would win mostly because he's uber-powerful in the force. If you removed Vader's force advantage, his saber skills aren't nearly as good.

Still, Vader was the undisputed master of Djem So. In a straight out battle, with a flat environment and no weather, Vader could beat anyone in single combat in about 60 seconds, except Exar Kun, Darth Maul (Maybe), and Darth Revan.
