After all, D or Aria are the only real good sources of bait...
And if they're undone, then that means no stealing Phia's baby, and no baby period.
Which means that the person driving the drones will be very pissed off...
Which means roughly 480 SRM's shoved right up Lex's a**.
You get the idea.

It's all a matter of perspective really. As long as you get the job done, time will be of little to no importance. Then, one simply has to defeat the other three and secure D's position in the timeline, thus keeping the thing glued together.
Essentially Lex has a two part mission.
Steal the unborn child, and then defend the mansion and D at all costs.
The drones will of course assist, though only the Archon is properly equipped to help with the first objective. Good luck Lex.

Mostly just Lex because he's available. Though, the others might be conscripted as things develope. You know, use what you can when you can.

Lex merely has to be in the way long enough for the Archon to zap it out, or a suitable section. Not much is required, only the spark that would grant ascension. A few other things that can be easily snatched up from random towns or cities across the multiverse.
Used condoms, virgins heads, cancerous lumps, shredded sexes of every type and age.
The usual "ritual of evil" type of thing.
Oh, and a cauldron.

Well you know how it is. You need the right balance of festering bodies, twisted innocence, and of course the bodily fluids substitute the physical portion of corruption.

No worries I'll keep it all PG-13.
After all, would get banned if I described in detail vertically splitting a 13 year old girl in half from between the legs over a bubbling cauldron.
Though that sounds fun.
Get her half way through like a wishbone, and then just start scooping out the organs from inbetween.
Healing spell here and there, to keep her alive just long enough to shove her head down into the cauldron and have her drown in the liquid form of a body to be.
Then use her as an undead minions by screwing and stitching her back together, and filling her body with undead bugs!
Flesh golems full of puppeteers or something.
