I miss my old friends too. sad There are several people who I would love to be able to contact again, even outside of Gaia. But, at least we have new friends to love us.

Hi all, just dropping in to wish everybody a Merry Christmas. Dunno if I'll be on tomorrow or not so I figured I'd say it tonight.

I miss my old friends but whenever I stop by here I never know what to say. >_> The people I talked to the most are long since gone.

Merry Christmas to you too Kenny! And Merry Christmas to all of you wonderful people in LoSS! heart
I still have my old friends on my friends list. I had friends I used to talk with all of the time who quit, but I've made new friends who I talk with just as much. It's a trade off. I love my new friends, but I want my old ones too.

I must confess that I quit Gaia twice since joining. But I just can't stay away! I don't have much of a social life irl, so this is a good substitute. Plus, I have learned tons of useful stuff from some of my friends on here. biggrin

The only reason I come on Gaia anymore is to talk to a few friends I've met over the years. If they quit, I'd have no reason to be here anymore.

I have too many connections to even consider quitting again. The first time I quit was because I didn't have many connections and I didn't feel much pleasure from Gaia. The second time I quit, I had lots of friends, but I had a course schedule too busy to allow me any free time at all. This past semester was crazy, but it was nothing compared to my student teaching.

I wore my gifts (and nothing else) on Christmas day. I can't change back to that avi right now because I'm hosting an avi contest in one of my other guilds that is being held in the AT right now. They would eat me alive out there. xp But this hair that I'm wearing was something that I bought thanks to wise manipulation of the marketplace as well as some cash that was given to me as a Christmas gift. 3nodding

Most of my real life loot consisted of electronics, but I did get a t-shirt that says, "I'm an English major. You do the math." xd

I have a friend who's a physics and math major but he always makes everyone else to the simple arithmetic for him when we're playing D&D. He says, "I'm a math major, I don't do addition!"

MahouTragicQueen I have a friend who's a physics and math major but he always makes everyone else to the simple arithmetic for him when we're playing D&D. He says, "I'm a math major, I don't do addition!" That great! rofl In a weird way, I actually kind of understand that. When you've been doing high level stuff for a long time, it gets really hard to do low level stuff. For example, when I was doing my student teaching, I could not figure out how to effectively teach addition and subtraction to first graders. It was such an ingrained concept in me that I couldn't understand how they could not get it. Believe it or not, I actually tried to teach the theory of Calculus to a 3rd grader. Elementary education and I were never on the best of terms. <_<
