"Not the right answer." Inu said, and drew his hand back for a finishing strike, when all the windows in the house exploded, Hiei dashing through one and grabbing the girl, then backing away as Inu screamed about the glass now stuck in his legs.

Rose gasped as they all exploded, and ran over to Hiei and the crying Tara. She took her sister in a hug, stroking her hair in a soothing way.
"Shh....it's okay now Tara, he won't hurt you anymore, I promise."
The little girl clung to her sister and slowly stopped crying.
"Thank you, Hiei. I think you truly know how much Tara means to me."

Inu pulled glass out of him, the wounds healing almost instantly.

Rose's mother turned to Shuuichi.

Hiei lowered his voice. "Let me take her to safety, your parents too. Inu won't hurt them in spirit world, and you can fight easier. I'll hurry back to help."
