Kubain *holds his heart as if he's in pain* ow...im hurt, Ares...why would you ever say such a thing?Because it's true, and you know it... *sticks out tongue, teasingly. She looks to Destiny* Take this rag*hands her a rag* clean off the outside of the guns, inside the barrel, all the nooks and crannies, and then put them in that cupboard over there... *points*

Destiny accepted the rags, and began cleaning the guns. As she worked her way down the row, she hummed to herself an old cleaning song she had learned. As she glanced about, she noticed the gundeck was empty of people, so she started to sing softly, a song about ships on the sea, pirates and life, love lost but never found. When she had finally finished cleaning all the guns, and stowing the rags, she went to find Ares. " All right Ares. The guns are cleaned, all the nooks, crannies, and barrels, and the rags stowed. I have to get back to the galley and fix supper now. If you need me again, please let me know. I'm always happy to help." With a slight bow of her head, Destiny dashed back to the gallley, and began preparing supper, a simple meal of 12 bean stew withonions and carrots, cheese and crackers as a side, and a dried apple pie for dessert. As Destiny relaxed in the galley, she compared her life now to what it was before, and decided that she was much better off now.

*Going back to the compass house, he opens the cuboard and pulls out the mass of charts that he needed to consult.* "Alright, let's check our course... let'see the Antlantic Crossing Chart
So, we're located at 32*-W' bearing 45* E' NE due to Gibraltor. We could gain a good amount of nautical miles & time by sailing straight to, rather than sailing by tack. Though, if we hit the dulldrums, we'll be out of it for a week's time. Hopefully the trades will be kind...*Switching Charts - Gibraltor* So, once we hit Gibraltor, we sail into the nearest Port for some supplies and water. Then we set sheets and head back through the Straight and then due south down Africa...sticking close to the coast. *Switches Charts to the African Chart* Once we get around the Cape, we stop for repairs off Cape Town and then continue to Madagascar...*Switches Chars to his small Madagascarian Map.* So, we'll find a safe cove on the coastline... and then we'll caren the ship. Cleaning off her bottom will give us a real advantage when it comes time to catching Indiamen Trading Ships. They've been at sea for months and havn't time to clean the bottom. Their riggin' will be offset also, I must make note of that. So, after we careen and make the ship fit for action, we'll gather what we need from the island and then sail for Indian waters...*Switches once more.* We then will cruise the East Indies, taking all vessel's aprize. We'll have to make haven somewhere in the Philipines... the Fleet's don't normally patrol there... so we'll be safe. I hope that the crew will be happy with our cruise destination."

Destiny gazed about the galley, taking stock of what was left of the pantry. They were out of fresh vegetables, milk, eggs, the butter was begining to turn racid, and the fresh water barels were begining to run low. This was the most empty Destiny had ever seen the pantry. I hope the Captain puts in for supplies soon, or we'll be eating more fish than he'd like, with little flavor. As she surveyed the pantry, her stocks of dried herbs were still close to full, and the dried provisions were holding up well, just running low.

*Putting his charts back into the compass house, he looks about him and realizes that he's been determining their destination all day! His stomach growls as he shuts the cupboard. Listening to it's request, he slumps down to the Galley... but in a dignified manner, so as not to lose respect from the crew. As he decsends down the hatch and around the staircase, he comes in just in time to see Destiny shake her head in disapproval at the foodstore's.*
"I know... we're running low on stores. I can't understand for the life of me how I could have missed it. We just left Havannah two weeks ago. We had a food stock that should have lasted us for 3 months. I take it the crew & officer's must be becoming glutten's. Destiny, from now on the crew will be put on ship's rations until further notice. That consists of: Soup & Salad of the Day, Strip's of Salted Beef or Pork & Hardtack or Ship's Biscuit - 2 Rations of Grog (Watered Down Rum) at 5 bells -(Dinner). As for the Officer's - the Menu will be almost exact as the crew's diet, but with an addition of desert. I'll leave it up to you what the night by night desert will be. Oh, and if anyone is caught stealing from your kitchen, I order you to notify me immediatley so I may punish them accordingly. While we are on ship's rations, theft from the ship's provision's will not be tolerated.
I was thinking, and I've decided that you should put up a menu in the galley. So the men who are literate can read what will be had that day for dinner. Update it weekly if you can. If not, that's alright too. How's that sound Destiny?"

Pondering at the notions of food rationing, Nameless jumped at the opportunity to interject.
Actually, John, that would defeat the purpose of food rationing lol . Truly, it would help to make a few catches for storage, but there can be no hoarding and excluding others. The point of a ration is to stick to a strict diet to ensure that our food stores last us. Although, a fillet of sole be sounding mighty fine sweatdrop .

"That would be fine Captain, about the menu. I'll try and update it weekly, and will notify you imediatly if anything is missing from the galley." Destiny walked back into the galley and found some chalk, and handed it to the Captian. " Here you go sir. "
