Actually, with the 5th edition sniper rifles will hit using the BS of the user, making Ratlings for the Imperial Guard all the more viable all of the sudden.
But most of those tweaks make no real sense. I4 is standard for Eldar and they can't all of the sudden get a higher T value. The higher armour again makes no sense as most sniper units in the game are lightly armoured and use cover saves to their own benefit.
Even if you want to tweak them, they'd have to go up in point cost. Higher toughness and better armour save = more points per model, even if you lower the S and I values.

Whats teh sense of making them us their own BS? Without the two plus hit what really is the advantage of a sniper rifle now. I mean 4+ wound is nice, but now it is like an anti monsterous creature gun.

Well, most snipers of various races have BS4, so no big deal really. Only exception that I am aware of are Guardsmen in special weapon squads or in light infantry squads, they still have BS3, hence the idea that those cheap Ratlings with their enhanced cover save and BS4 are all the more attractive.
They still wound on 4+ if not mistaken.
Plus sniper rifles become RENDING weapons to counter the removal of the +2 to hit removal. Personally I find this a good trade off. Gives snipers a small chance at popping those soon to be small terminator squads and big nasties.

I don't think that counts as an argument.
I was just stating what I thought, and Lt.Brookman explained in a little better detail so I can get the full picture.

I've been writing some background stories for my guard unit, and lately took some of the minor characters and really wanted to flesh them out in a tale of their own. SO I best thought would be to let other people make some characters and roleplay a fight against an alien threat. Later I can easily convert what we did into story format. I have put up some information about the units and history in the RP forums. I have listed a set of character each one has thus had no background, history, or description. So fell free to take one and flesh it out into your character, or make up your own and send it to me for approval.

Well, the 5th edition rules have been floating on the internet for half a year now and there's a lot of change in them, mostly for good. If all goes well, 5th edition will be announced at UK GD this year.

Yeah well your work is good, and you have a better grasp of the finer points of English and composition in general then I do, sure I know the basics but nothing advanced. I like your work, and I enjoy reading it.

UB Con '08 seems to be holding the Battle for Macragge the way it should have been. Full force in Apocalypse-size helpings! Also, I was messing around with my models and I ended up giving a Veteran sergeant w/power fist model (acting as HQ) a new arm w/ power sword because his arm kept falling off... After I painted up the armor with some Moridian blue, he looked like a whole new model. The sword lines up perfectly with the eyes and this model's badass rating took a skyrocket. I'll post pics when I get hold of a camera.
