"Ok guys, flying types out or we can ascend Mt. Chimney and take the long way to get to Lavaridge. Which one do you guys want to do?" Cody asked. They still had about thirty minutes until "it" went down.

"Not sure" said Ike to Sammy. The team obviously wasn't in this part of Hoenn, except perhaps Cody, Ike thought. Ike himself remembers traveling around Johto around this time last spring.
Ike sighed and turned to everyone.
"I best be off guys. The time portal will be left open here where no one can find it, so make your way back to this spot when your done. Remember: No training, battling, catching!" he said, turning to the portal. He forgot something and turned back around. "Oh, and don't talk to anyone." he said. Before turning around again, he thought of one more thing. "And don't bring anything back to the present." he added. "In fact... of, you get what I'm trying to say."
With that, Ike climbed back through the portal with Celebi.

Sammy shivered as she realized what event had happened in her life only two months before this... She shook her head, clearing her thoughts. "I'm fine with either," she replied to Mr. Cody.

"Well, how long do you think you can stay awake?" Cody asked and sent out Flygon. Either way, he would need a ride. "Want a ride?"

"I'll spare Flygon the weight, but thanks," Sammy smiled, releasing Vixen. He happily spread his wings, having not gotten any excersise for awhile. "Sorry I've kept you in there so long, buddy.. sweatdrop " Sammy hopped on him, answering Mr. Cody's question, "I can last a little longer."

"Ok then, to Lavaridge, Flygon," Cody stated as he hoped on the pokemon's back. The two took off into the sky toward the city and Lavaridge Town.

Vixen took off after, keeping the same speed as Mr. Cody and Flygon. "So, you don't know what happened that day, huh?" Sammy asked, remembering Mr. Cody talk about some of the things that had taken place.
PostPosted: Thu Jan 15, 2009 10:17 pm

Cody was enjoying the flight, just the two of them. "Nope. I have no clu... Oh my God. What is that thing?" A giant shadow was being cast upon them. He looked up to see a giant object flying at their speed about ten feet above their heads. To make things better, it was headed for Lavaridge Town. Cody turned to Sammy and said, "Whatever you do, don't let them spot us. Whoever they are." It must've been a Magma Dropship. The vessel slowed down and let down a group of ropes. Team Magma Grunts slid down the ropes and invaded the city like aliens. "We need to land behind the Pokemon Center so these people don't see us watching." Cody explained. Flygon divebombed the ground, hoping to get out of sight of Team Magma. He hopped off and popped his head around the corner of the Pokemon Center and watched it all go down.

"Where are they?" asked a Grunt.
"I... I don't know!" replied a scared teenage girl about their age. It must've been Star. A boy that resembled Cody exactly stood in front of her. Cody didn't remember any of this, but there he was, protecting his friend.
"Bullshit you don't know. Where are they?!"
"The little girl said she didn't know. Leave them alone!" came an older voice. It was Flannery, the town Gym Leader. "Macargo! Eruption!" she shouted. The pokemon launched fire into the air. Both Codys watched, quite amused, as the fire fell on the group of Grunts and only pissed them off more.
"Fine; you don't want to tell us? We'll just take her instead!"

Sammy had followed Mr. Cody, and was now just watching behind him. She wanted nothing more than to be able to change the past, but alas, that wouldn't be possible.
PostPosted: Fri Jan 16, 2009 4:31 pm

The Cody from the past stood firm in front of Star. "I won't let you take her!" he shouted to the Grunt.
It's too bad you won't cooperate," the Grunt said.
He took out a pistol and hit Cody in the temple, knocking him out instantly and grabbed Star in a headlock. Then he turneed the pistol on Flannery.
"Return your pokemon, NOW!" he shouted. Flannery, being smart, returned her pokemon. From somewhere up above, a black pokeball shot out and hit the Gym Leader's Macargo in the head, absorbing the pokemon in a black light and closing. The ball shook once. Twice. Three times. *bing* The Macargo was caught and the ball flew back to wherever it had come from.
"NO!" Flannery shouted. "Not my pokemon!"
The grunt walked over to the knocked out Cody and took the two pokeballs from his belt, leaving him without his pokemon. The dropshit let down a beam of light, picking up the grunt and Star, and sucked both of them up.

The present Cody still stood behind the Pokemon Center with Sammy. He slowly put his hand to his belt, feeling that his four pokeballs were still there. He was enraged, but at the same time, afraid to act. He couldn't act. He could only stay there and watch. As soon as the Magma ship was out of sight, he hopped on Flygon and turned to Sammy. "Let's go home... I think I've seen enough." The two slowly ascended into the sky, headed for the time portal.

Sammy nodded, hopping on Vixen. "...I never knew..." She muttered as Vixen caught up to Flygon. Her senses were alert after the scene, and she had been frightened by what Mr. Cody had been through.

MISSION- The Shadow's Last Stand
Must complete Shadow of Water

We’ve finally been able to track down Team Clone’s true base for these schemes. And it looks like Thard's clone was the one running the show! They’re hiding out on one of the small islands in Hoenn, near Southern Island and the Battle Tower.

You must get in there and destroy both the Evolution Wave generator and the Shadow Pokemon machine! You’ll also have to face two commanders, your clone, and Thard's clone. Then bring the house down! (Destroy the entire hideout)

The Commanders each have 3-4 pokemon.
Your clone has 4-5 fully evolved pokémon from your lineup.
Thard's clone has 5-6 fully evolved pokémon including Crobat, a Fossil, and an Eevee evolution.

Pokemon: (Yes, you may catch them)
Dragonite
Salamence
Tyranitar
Metagross

Rewards:
7500 PD
A Mysterious Map
1 Master Ball
-------------------------------------------
MISSION COMPLETE!!! FINALLY!!!

Yes, I did indeed ask Brian for permission to evolve my Sneasel into a Weavile during the mission, as I do have a Razor Claw. This was during the time he was Leader, if Ike won't let me though (since he is now the Leader) then it's his decision.

And for your information, I created the document for the mission on October 27, 2008. I believe I had the mission started before then though, so I don't know how long it actually took. I can check on my other computer assuming I started on it out there.

THE CHECK: I checked this on my other computer just now, and it was indeed a long time before October 27, 2008. Apparently, I created the file (with the brief at least) on October 2... 2007!!! And it was indeed a long mission... The final two battles themselves took up four pages, and the entire thing was 12 pages! That's the longest mission I've ever done, and the only one over ten pages that I know of by an Aquan.

Great Dancing Dragonairs, someone finally did it! ... Almost. I really, really, REALLY wish I could give this one a passing grade. The story elements are superb, and the battle mechanics could hardly be better.

So it's truly unfortunate that I have to fail this mission on the following technicalities:
- Before the first battle, you revealed this team: Pidgeot, Manectric, Houndoom, Tyranitar, Salamence, Metagross.
- During the first battle, you used Sneasel (evolving into Weavile), Houndoom, Pidgeot, and Salamence. Notice that you're already up to 7.
- You then stored those four and, based on the next battles, withdrew Charizard, Blaziken, Empoleon, and Espeon.
- After the second battle, you stored Espeon and took back Salamence.
- Fighting your clone, you used Empoleon, Tyranitar, Charizard, Blaziken, Salamence, and Manectric.
- In the last fight, which started almost immediately, you used five of the same pokemon, but put Metagross in Blaziken's spot: 7 again. Also, you began the battle sending Empoleon, but proceeded as if it were Metagross, and used Empoleon properly later.

Other minor points: Pidgeot actually is rare in the Hoenn region. If you're Northeast of your target, walking Northeast gets you farther away (turn Southwest instead). Normally, pokemon won't evolve until the END of the battle, but that won't count against you this time. My clone isn't stupid: he won't have Espeon use Giga Impact when Hyper Beam draws on the stronger stat. He may even try Grass Knot to land a neutral hit on Empoleon.

Further, Tyranitar summons an unending Sandstorm with its ability.

Oh yes, I suppose you didn't get the memo, but my clone is named Toulcus. He's also nicknamed his Crobat, "J.L."

The minor points won't have much impact whether you fix them or not, but the sloppy switching needs to be cleaned up. I really want you to succeed! The mysterious map was Brian's idea and it'll have an interesting use....

With regards to your closing remarks, I copied the mission into Word and with my settings got 14 pages. If you want a 17-page behemoth, flip back to pages 2000 and 2002. I was worried about characters-per-post limits so I split the thing into two parts. (My favorite line of dialogue is just before the final four-way battle...)

Sport walks into HQ and reads the mission report. "Dang..." he says. "I didn't realize I had used seven Pokémon in those battles... I'll fix that." Reading on, he comes to the point about Thard's clone and his Crobat. "I had no idea what his name was... so thanks for that. And JL... those are my true initials... how did you know???"

Tally walked into the building, sniffling. Poochyena, by her side, wiggled his nose before sneezing. Tally sneezed then poochyena did, "Poochyena, I think we're sick!" Tally laughed, quietly, flopping down onto a couch and grabbing poochyena then placed him on her chest, "You keep me warm and I'll keep you warm," Tally sneezed, stroking poochy.

Adie walks into the lounge, working on her latest mission report as she flops down on the couch, glancing up to see someone she did not know cuddling with a Poochenya. She gave the girl a smile, though she did not speak in case she was interrupting something.

"So much to do," she muttered slightly, tossing her hair over her shoulder as Sandshrew jumped up on the couch next to her, sitting and rocking back and forth in the cushioning of the couch. Adie giggled, reaching over and tickling his tummy, to which she received a happy giggle from the pokemon, before she got back to work.
