Eliot wined and put her head on her paws to show that she was no enemy. She wined, barked and groweld. My name is Eliot, I am here with Roarke. She poitned her snout towards the door to show that he was inside. She then turned to the dragon. You are akin to Alaran aren't you? she perked her ears so as the question would be curious, not accusing.

She laughed, letting her head fall to the side as she looked up to Raziel on his second favorite perch on her father. The two really were adorable together. "Would the answer of 'just because' satisfy Raziel?" It was the need of a bond that had long sense been neglected. And it was easy to see that Kieran was streadfastly forging an elvish bond to Raziel...the two were like peas in a pod, that was for sure. "Besides, you said that you were going to be fetching mother in a few days time..."

Kieran chuckle and brushed his hair over his shoulder. "Yes Raziel, that she does, she's a smart girl after all. Gets it from me." A little bit of ego stroking before he crossed his arms lightly. "I'm sure Malik will be fine." And his attention turned to other thing, like his and Raziel's trip. "Yes, and Raziel is accompanying me. That has you worried badly, doesn't it?"

"You know what she'll do."

"Yes, she'll exaggerate, deny, and try to convince things. But you know that's how she is and with a bit of gentle nudging...I think we can get her to be fine with Malik and all of this that you're making your life out of." A laugh, switching suject slightly. "And I think Raziel is more excited about that surface than anyone I've ever met."

Well now wasn't that interesting? He could have understood human speach well enough, but she decided to comminucate with her wolfish form. Adorible. His long toothy snout peeled back in a smile. He chuckled. Using much the same movements as Eliot; complicated eye gestures, head swaying, a grunt every now and then. I am Tanundra, the Oracle's protector. Indeed, Alaran is my sister. He winked at her. But I am not near so jealous. Feel free to indulge my mistress with your company.

His shoulders sagged in pretend disappointent. "I suppose it will have to do." but he perked up and smiled again. "I am very excited to see a surface world! How amny Underdarks get to say they have felt the sunlight hit their face?" He worried look here for a moment. "Will the sun blind me? Maybe I sohuld get soemtihng to protect my eyes before we go." A small blue feather worked it's way out of Raziel's wing, fell to Keirna's shoulder. "Opps, not very tidy of me...." He blushed.

"Not many Raziel, not many." But he was rather excited for one who was only used to the Underdark. She watched that little feather drop and she reached to her father's shoulder, piking it off and examining it a moment. Too small for fletching but hey...it was a feather. "Feathers never create a mess Raziel." Though it was adorbale when he blushed...because he turned purple.

Kieran smiled and tilted his head slightly, but not enough to disrupt Raziel and his lounging on his head. "You have a point there Raziel...since you've never seen the sun it may be a bit harsh on your eyes...you may get a case of flash blindness if I simply take you up there. We'll have to figure something for your eyes indeed."

Eliot felt the deep rumble of the dragon's chuclking but she didn't understand the reason of it. I do not want to intrued, she said to him, but I'm afraid I would not be good company anyways. She rested her head once again against her paws. and sighed heavily. It is nice to talk to a fellow shape shifter though, sometimes I find the company of animals to that of Humans. She snorted, her she was saying she prefered the company of animals and all her thoughts where on that skinny wizard.

"Well ask Malik. I'm sure he has something for the little guy's eyes." A chuckle at her father, he looked half asleep himself. "Why don't you head off to Reviere? I may take Serino or Nightmare riding for a while. I'll be careful."

Kieran cast hsi daughter a smile...so she was feeling good enough to venture out on her own. "Don't get into trouble, you hear me." And he walked her upstairs, both parting ways at the top, Kieran and Raziel heading off to his room, Piper to hers and Malik's.

"I'll be fine. Zephyrs and Nightmares to protect me after all." She quietly slipped into the room, noting Malik already in bed and in reverie. Well good. Slipping into her closet she changed clothes...couldn't go riding in a dress after all. So dressed in red tunic and red chainmail, deep purple cloak around her shoulders she made her way back downstairs. Though this time she had her bow and quiver on her. That was one step in the right direction.

Heading out to the stables, she looked at her choices. Serino and Nerian were more or less sleeping, Nightmare was pacing. A smirk at that...Nightmare was still fit to ride. "You wanna get out of here girl?" She grabbed the horses bridle from the stall wall...only because she could't hold to fire. Sure, she couldn't control her too well but recently her and Nightmare had that understanding and Nighmare was a little tamer. Not to mention Piper offered her a peace offering of raw chicken as she reined her, then pulled herself up on the horse. She was ligth and wouldn't cause the mare any stress. "Come on then Ramoth, you'll get your exercise and I'll get my guard and taste of freedom again. Nightmare was all too willing to comply, starting out of the stables at a trot.

Zahara moved through the trees quickly. She was continously looking in all directions to make absolutely sure no one was following her and that no one was ready to slip a blade between her ribs. Her upbringing had taught her to always be on her guard. She was prepared to slip her dagger out at any point and she had her elvish ears perked up and listening to every sound. No one would sneak up on her, she wouldn't allow it. Every time there was a rustle of the bush or some unforeseen noise she about jumped out of her skin thinking it was her sister coming after her...or worse the Matron. Escape was crucial, she'd mastered the first step. Now she had to find somewhere to stay. She had to lay low, she knew that but where? Her footsteps remained quiet as she stayed under the cover of the brush and moved stealthily through the woods.

Piper let Nightmare wander where she may at what pace she may, the reins she was using more to stay upon the horse than anything. Though she could tell Nightmare was enjoying herself...no saddle, and her much wanted exercise. Hoovese left flaming trails on the ground behind her that died easily enough. Pretty soon they had slipped into the strange Underdark sickly looking trees. Which made Piper a little nervous...seeing as her last encounter with a tree wasn't pleasant. But she was pulled from her thoughts as Nightmare stopped, tossing her head nad rattling her reins, pawing at the ground. A blink from he young elf. "What's the matter girl?"

Zahara heard another rustle and immediately drew her dagger inching around one of the trees. She peered out but saw nothing. She searched her surroundings, listening deeply and analyzing every movement but caught nothing once again. Tiptoeing slowly along she moved through the trees again and then heard what sounded like a stamp on the ground. Was there someone there? She still had her dagger out pointed at some unknown source of the noise and was fully ready to defend herself. She wanted to yell out but that didn't seem the brightest idea so she stayed where she was and listened. Someoen was out there...but where?

Piper merely sat there, holding tight to reins...great, something had Nightmare up in arms about something. But the problem was what. She peered into the darkness that was the Underdark, elvish vision taking advantage of the phosphorus moss and the like. But damn it all if it didn't help much. But Nightmare was getting even more antsy and Piper dropped off the horse, walking around her to take hold of her snout and pet, cooing calming words to her. "Calm down...calm down Ramoth."

But Nightmare wasn't having that. There was something unknown close by and she didn't like the smell...a potiental danger to her soon to be foals...and she didn't like things hiding...maybe she could stomp and eat it? Backing up from Piper she melded into shadows...only to appear in front of the one playign hide and seek, snorting puffs of smoke and pawing the ground, leaving fire burning where she stepped.

"R-ramoth?" Oh great, the horse blipped on her. Anxiety instantly shot up through the roof for the young elf and she took nervous steps backward...afraid to change her point of view on things right now. Great, sickly forest, no Nightmare. But she did hear the mare close by. "Ramoth come back here! This isn't funny!"

Well the first thing Zahara picked up on was the drow word for nightmare. Was it a drow out there? Did they send someone out to find her? A Lolth...vel'klar xunus dos doer dal? Zahara saw some kind of black horse with a flaming mane and tail appear in front of her pawing and snorting. Wait a minute, black horse, red eyes, flaming tail and mane. It was a nightmare and it didn't look happy to see her and Zahara's dagger dropped to teh ground in a moment of shock. "Ele xun nindolen klezn sha'nalt ulu uns'aa?" Zahara raised her hands in surrender and slowly began backing up from the engraged nightmare. No, this wasn't good.

Elvish ears twitched at the second sound to Nightmare...the words of the Underdark, unmistakeable in thier tone and sound. That meant....drow...oh no...she was in deep wasn't she? Eyes darted around as she kept backing up, looking to have her back hit a tree. Malik often said that 'those who watch thier back meet thier death from the front'...so she wasn't looking back. Then she did bump something but it wasn't any tree. She froze for a split second before she spun around, hand reaching back for bow and arrow in swift motion, drawing both and notching her arrow to her bowstring, tensing it immediately. No chance taking if she was with ill company.

Zahara eyed the angry nightmare and took her steps even faster backing up adn watching the beast to make sure she knew what it would do. She kept going until she bumped into something. But in a split second she realized that it wasn't something it was someone. In an almost imperceptible motion she drew her other dagger and had them both poised and ready for action, at her opponent's throat. She was face to face with an arrow, indeed it was literally inches from her nose. Her own blades raised at throat level, seemed they had each other at an impasse. Who would die first? " Vel'uss ph' dos lu' ele ph' dos p'luin uns'aa?" Zahara demanded, her sharp blades never moving.

Oh hell. Drow indeed...female Drow. Even worse. Though she was a little confused...shouldn't she be on the ground bleeding and screaming by now? Maybe her arrow stayed her hand? But that was stupid...Drow maimed first asked questions later. A snort from her side told her that Nightmare was back beside her, still none too happy. And she racked her brain for the words in that langauge...she could only pick out a few...maybe she spoke common? "Kyorl...kyorl...zexen'uma dosst rah.." Easily heard to be spoken in trying to grasp the words and she spoke through her nose a little, her surface accent ringing in the words. "I...um..." If she dropped her own defense...she'd be cut down for the show of cowardice or submission, however it was taken. Try being assertive? "Crossing onto my land and drawing arm on me...is not to your advantage..." That's right, bluff a little, take a few hints from Malik.

Zahara raised an eyebrow and her then her violet eyes narrowed. Surface elf. What was a surface dweller doing down here? She would have shaken her head at the broken sentence but then heard her speak in common. Zahara had a good grasp on teh language and she said, "Your land? I didn't realize. I suppose I should...apologize, but first I must ask you to put down your weapon...and call off the nightmare."Her own daggers never moved. Zahara watched this surface dweller closely. Her appearance was a bit strange but then she was used to seeing dark skin adn white hair. The arrow inches from her face was a bit disconcerting and Zahara wondered exactly who she was dealing with. She knew all the stories about surface dwellers and didn't believe for a second this girl would let her live. She'd kill her because she was drow and curse her remains like the surface elves did. Grind her bones and offer the remains to her gods as a sacrifice. They thought they were more civilized but when it really came down to it, they were just the same.
