Jack is a meanie. The whole thing made me want to give Santa a hug even though I don't even like Christmas xp

They probably decided it would be sort of cool to have 2 storylines, which I sort of like the idea of. Part of what makes things like soap operas (not that I ever liked one of those muchly, not at all) is that there's different storylines, you can wonder about one while enjoying another, vice versa etc.
