Oh, another thing was that I was talking to the lady at the Nintendo booth about Kirby's Epic Yarn and she kept going on about how difficult it was... lol

I haven't played the Mother series at all, yet I've played all of DMC.

Super Cheesio I'd say get Donkey Kong Country Returns and wait for Kirby's Epic yarn. I played DKR at MCM and it was surprisingly VERY fun. I'm gonna be putting it on my Christmas list for sure. Maybe you could do the same. YOU SHOULDN'T BE SURPRISED THAT ANYTHING RETRO MAKES IS FUN RETRO IS AWESOME

The controls man. DK controls... I can't explain it. You need to FEEL it. Basically, he feels like he should. A ******** gorilla pelting at s**t full speed and smashing s**t up. So satisfying. Feels very natural. Very... loose? But loose in a good way.

Considering what they did with the Wii controls on the Prime series, I knew they'd pull off some great feeling layout again. Fish showed me some recent gameplay footage and it just looks insane. I might get it.

At first I wasn't going to put it on my list because there were games I wanted more, but this is gonna be pretty high on my list now. The controls may be the most perfect controls I've ever felt. And BTW, I'm not talking about the button layout. I'm talking about how DK himself controls.

When me and my friend were passing by the booth and I told him we needed to play it he was like 'DUURRHUURR, SIDESCROLLERS SUK MODURN WARFAYR FTW!!1' Which led me on to a kind of rant about how much I love sidescrollers... Anyway, after playing it in co-op with me he admitted that he did enjoy it.

Well we'll see if it beats JUNGLE BEAT, HAH. If they put bongo controller support I would buy the game twice ;_;

I'm sure in a lot of ways it will, but Jungle Beat is one of my favorite games OF ALL TIEM. I really doubt the combat in DKCR will beat Jungle Beat's, but the platforming and general fun factor probably will.
One thing I really liked about Jungle Beat was how you could combo different things and get ridiculous points for comboing a lot of things without touching the ground. DKCR looks more like a return to form (obviously) which isn't bad, but it's no JB.

DKCR feels very different from the original I felt. As for the 'combat', jumping on enemies is damn fun and the ground pound is very satisfying.

Oh no, I imagine it is satisfying and I'm sure it's a great game-I'm really excited for it. Jungle Beat's combat is just outstanding. And not on the ******** that port that I never played. The bongos are the perfect peripheral for making DK punch the hell out of some bad guys.
