I won't be on for a while since I have finals next week and I REALLY REALLY REALLY SUPER REALLY VERY VERY VERY VERY MUCH NEEDED ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO study. Oh man. Its hard for an easy living guy like me to take things seriously (though I take my anime career very seriously).*sigh* So stressful. Even if I did have a break, its stressful. Pray that I graduate this year and go into the world people.
Oh and if we're planning on promoting other to mods, I'd say that we need a test. Also, another test for mods to get higher if they wanted to (not that we'd get anymore power though). Either way, I'm good where I am. Look over the boards. Introduce people to the guild. Writing reviews. I'm all gravy.

That's a good idea. Other than that, I think we need to alter the style of posts we have too. Most of ours are general "talk about this anime here" So once we get past "I love that show!" and "What happened last episode? I missed it. sad " we have nothing left to say and the thread dies. So, maybe more discussion type threads like,"Do you think that FMA has a message? ANy theories about it?" You know, just less general topics so that you can discuss it longer.
Another format that worked was the "Book of Questions" one. It's a thread that one way or another changes the disscussion topic every week or two to keep things interesting.
And, although we've already started this and I know not many of us do it, RPGs last a long time and are update very often. Frequent posts to that topic means more posts to other topics.
So basically, I think we need topics that you can post on more without it getting boring. sweatdrop

Thats true. Maybe start several RPs to increase the activity of the guild.
But yeah. Sorry I still can't help out gals and ND (NinjaDon). Finals are metaphorically stomping me in the crotch and pushing my body off a cliff.

Hmm, I kinda like the way we have one topic for one anime. I think if you wanted to talk about things like "Do you think that FMA has a message? ANy theories about it?" You should just put them in that topic. Ask the question. sweatdrop

i agree with Luci on this one
what if we were to put up topics about authors and publishers? ex: CLAMP, Kaori Yuki, VIZ, Tokyopop
on the CLAMP you could discuss and compare all their various works, storylines, etc
also, sometime soon, i'm going to compile a complete list of topics that we have, in alphabetical order, and post it with the rules
to make it easier to tell if we have a particular topic or not
i'll do my best to keep it up to date

I like that idea, it would be a lot easier if we had a list of the topics. 3nodding

Back on a brief hiatus (AKA the few hours between studying, watching and yelling about football, a family emergency involving somebody dear to me, and stressing out about all of the above).
I agree with all of the above ideas.
I also suggest we create a "Artist tips" Topic. We'd use it for people who draw anime and manga. They could give pointers about creating them. Touching up your art maybe? You know. Those kinds of things. Like an artist corner.
Also maybe anime education (which Mago and I do as Ani-Romancers anyways). tell how there is more to anime than big boobs and such. Break down the finer points of animes and mangas step by step. The industry is very big you know.
Another suggestion is a story telling board. Something like the RP board but instead of an RP, an actual story yah know. Dunno how that would work out but it sounds like fun.
If we want to go far out, we could also put up an anime club board so users may find an anime club close to them to join. I.E Mago and I would put up the address and contact info for the Ani-Romancers (which are in Killeen, Texas and Reno and Sparks area of Nevada for now. So yeah. But thats kindah riskay with the internet and all. Still, lots of fun.
Well thats about it. I'ma gonna trya anda goa nurtura mya RPa backah toah lifeah. So yeah.

those are good ideas ADK
as you all know it is now possible to purchase sub-forums for guilds
we have enough in the guild account to purchase some
not right away but soon
we would have to decide how many we want, subject matter, etc...
we could even have something akin to a Chatterbox where we would put copy threads and the like 3nodding

Well Nutz says that we should make an RP subforum so it'll be more organized.

I'm still pushing the artist corner. It seems fun.
I've been thinking about if we should add a video game sub forum. Games and anime and manga sortah go hand in hand, sometimes even influencing the other forms.
