Ketki just stared blankly at Chii. Well, Ketki wasn't even sure how blood was supposed to taste.
" N-No Chii, I'm fine.. I really don't need you to do that.. " She shook her head when she said that. there was no way she could drink Chii's blood. Whatever blood Josef had would be just fine for her....
" A-And I don't want to hurt you, that's unfair of me to ask that from you.. " She bit her lip, looking down at the floor. She looked in alarm at Chii when she offered to give her her blood daily.
" N-No Chii! This blood is just fine! " She took Chii's hand gently, looking up at her pleadingly.
Ketki let out a sigh of relief when she decided to take his word. Thank God. She would never bring herself to harm Chii in any way. That was just too much.

"I would not recommend you feed her your blood lest you get her addicted to yours and yours alone and cause her to eventually consume you entirely. It's best to allow her to try different tastes of blood."
Josef pulled out a blood pack.
"This person has been deceased for a while, the blood is filled with their life essence, it circulated through them and gave them life for however long they existed in this world. It has all the memories and experiences that this person
had and went through in life. Us consuming that is what gives us sustenance, that is life energy, the life force. We consume the blood to take in the life force of an animal of being."
He then sunk his teeth into the bag and started consuming it.
"This will sustain for a less amount of time because the heart that beats the blood throughout the body isn't there, and the heart is the source of life for most living things. So the blood passes through the source of life multiple, multiple times, thus infusing it with life essence. If that make sense."
The doctor then handed the bag to Ketki.
"This is what it means to be a vampire, this is what it meas, to consume. It's the same thing with plants and vegetables that you eat. You consume their fibers of nutrients or life energy to sustain yourself."

After the prince woke up from his coma at the doctor's office, he ordered all his guards to look for the murderer and the person who pushed him off, as he couldn't remember who did it since the entirety of the night was hazy, as well as the past week or so. He ordered Chii to escort him back to his quarters via wheelchair, forcing the poor kitty to push him up REALLY STEEP ramps.
A few days passed where the Prince ordered Chii to do various chores and favors for him, further torturing the poor Kitty mentally. After another few days, a letter is delivered to his door stating that multiple leaders from other countries across the world would like to visit his Kingdom to initiate trade routes and strengthen alliances, so the idea that came to his head was throw a Royal Gala, where the MOST prestigious noblemen and woman will make an appearance to show how wealthy and how good this country is.
The entirety of my alliances depend on how well this Gala goes... I also need to marry so the leaders will actually take me seriously....
He looked at Chii sweeping his room, looking at her back.
I might just.... go with her. As much as I would want to kill myself for having to consider marrying a slave..... Though... we could hide that fact.... by inducting her into our family....
He then grinned as he reached an epiphany.
"She would be even more of a slave if she were my wife..."
He whispered that, where Chii couldn't hear it.
"Chii. I have decided, we will hold a Royal Gala. I want you to help me organize it and cater it. If all goes well.... I may just 'set you free'. If it is a HUGE success where I gain more alliances. The goal of this Gala is to secure trade routes and to strengthen ties between other countries royal families. I will invite ALL of the Noblemen and Women in this country, and the bordering this country to participate. I want YOU to be the honored guest of mine, so I will pick out a dress for you. You will help me organize what food and what entertainments will be available for all to enjoy themselves!"

Chii stopped sweeping and looked behind herself, at her Master. A Royal Gala? She had heard of them before just by people in town talking about them, but she had never really met anyone who had ever been went to one, let alone even invited. It was basically just a party at the castle... but the chimera had never even been to a regular party, either. The closest she had ever been to a so called party was catering and waitressing when people would pay to rent out the tavern for the night. So her impression of parties was simply a lot of drinking alcohol and being very out and obnoxious. Imagining royalty doing that just seemed.... uncouth. But it wasn't a far cry from the way Demitrious behaved even when sober.... so it probably made sense.
Demitrious wanted her to help? Well that was a relief... she really didn't want to go to any parties... planning one would be much more her speed. Chii blinked at him in disbelief. Would he really let her go if the gala went well? She found that very difficult to believe... The prince wasn't someone she would trust with a damned thing. But the idea sounded nice...
W... Wait-! Honored guest-!? Her bright icy blue eyes widened a little in surprise. He wanted her to go-!? God, nooooo..... She didn't want to-! Especially if it meant having to hang out with him all night in front of a bunch of stuck up rich people... Couldn't he just go back to being in a coma again already-!?
"I-If that's what you want, ok-kay, Master..."
Chii's ears flicked back nervously, uncomfortable with this idea entirely... but what choice did she have?

"Oh? I expected you to be more excited, people KILL each other for the chance to even RECEIVE THE ROYAL LETTER decreeing them entry to my Gala. You will be my honored guest and there will be a special announcement regarding you near the close of the Gala. You should be honored... I didn't think you would be so..... meh about it."
Demitrious sighed and stood up, then walked towards Chii.
"Unless you want to show the world how much of my slave you are. You have a chance to prove that you are not just a slave, but a beautiful, stunning creature...."
He put his finger under her chin and lifted it up, whilst smiling a soft, seductive smile, trying to dazzle her instead of just be mean.
"I mean, you are the most beautiful thing I have ever set my eyes upon in this castle..."

"A-Aa..." Chii started to feel increasingly nervous as Demitrious started walking over to her. She didn't mean to anger him-! "I-I'm s-sorry Master, I-I didn't mean t--" She instantly winced once he was next to her, completely expecting to get slapped or punched.
But instead of that, it seemed to go.... rather the opposite of what she was expecting. He was... smiling, at her? In a non-creepy evil smile at that... He almost looked... kind of happy, without that dastardly selfish flare to it. It looked very un-natural... but she couldn't say it was un-welcomed. But it was still very confusing... she had never seen him like this before. Not even once.
Chii blushed softly, still entranced by it all the same. It was so confusing... and strange... but seeing him be able to look and sound this way was a pleasant surprise. She was completely clueless to the fact he was trying to flirt with her, but she ended up a little dazzled anyway. Not because he was trying to, but simply because it had never occurred to her that Demitrious could be nice or look so.... kind, for lack of a better word. It was so shocking it kind of made her head spin.
The neko couldn't even say a word, just transfixed on his face and the way he was looking at her.
Am I..... dreaming.....? He's been nothing but cruel since the moment I met him.... What.... is he doing....? I don't understand at all...

You of all people would grace the floor with your dazzling beauty and everyone would be smitten by you. As much as my heart was when you entered this room. I would love for you to be my guest, my slave, and my 'woman'."
Demitrious then leaned into her, with his flirt smile, lips almost touching hers.

What... in God's name... was he doing... He hadn't complimented her pretty much at all in the last few weeks she had been here as his slave... All he did was insult her. Constantly. All day long. And she had gotten used to taking it. BUt now he was completely the opposite... it didn't... make any sense...
Demitrious constantly told her how lucky she was, and how honored she should be to be his slave. Now he was saying he would be honored to have her.... what in the hell-!?
Okay now he was just going way over the top, even a sexually clueless space cadet like Chii could see that-! Wait.... did she really hear him right?
Is he like REALLY drunk? What is wrong with him-? Drunk men at the tavern had always told her what a goddess she was, it was really creepy... She didn't smell alcohol on his breath, and his lips were literally a centimeter from her's. Chii blushed harder, quivering a little in anticipation. It sounded really gross coming out of his mouth, but it was simply intoxicating from the sheer delight it made her feel to not be treated like dirt every second of every day. It felt fake, but it was still really nice to hear it. She didn't believe what he was saying, either, but again it was still really nice to hear something that wasn't.... just downright mean come out of his mouth.
But now he was literally seconds away from kissing her, and her heart skipped a beat. Not because it was romantic at all, she really did not want to kiss such a disgusting person, especially after the things he had done to her... but because she started to get really scared. She wasn't sure what on earth he was doing, and not knowing what his intentions were was.... downright terrifying.
Chii desperately wanted to turn away, but she was way more scared of what he would do to her if she even tried. So, she stayed absolutely still, just staring back into his eyes, her lip shaking a little.
What could he possibly be getting out of this?!

He stopped right before his lips touched hers, he then pulled away."
"I thought you would have wanted to kiss me back, pity. I guess i will just have to win your heart then, You may have the day off. Chii."
He walked back towards his bed and hopped in it, laying down and propping his head up with his arms behind his head.
"Unless you wish to lay in bed with me, that's fine too. I would love to have a 'cuddle' bunny."
He silently shivered at saying that.

She blushed harshly, just waiting for it to happen.
Or... not?
Chii blinked in confusion. His behavior suddenly stopped and her pulled away. Without kissing her. She was secretly very grateful, but of course she wasn't going to express that aloud.
Lay in bed with him? Ugh, she really didn't want to... She wanted to run out of the room and rejoyce she got to have the day off instead. But it didn't feel right... in fact it kind of felt like a trap. She had been here an entire month without a single day off. You couldn't just take a day off from being someone's slave... And then the edition of saying he wanted to cuddle... Now that was just over the top. She really felt like she had to, like it was some kind of test... if she didn't, he would probably be offended... and either punish her now, or later down the line, for making that choice...
So she set down her broom and nervously sat down on the edge of her side of the bed. Being anywhere near this bed was really scary... let alone with him in it... Chii bit her lip, a little too fearful to actually lay down next to him... but then thinking of what he might do to her if she didn't was a LOT more terrifying... so she laid down on her side, hoping he wouldn't try any funny business..

"Oh so you do want to cuddle? I am glad, come over here."
He lightly grabbed her and brought her closer to him. Not doing anything funny, just cuddling.
"So, what would you like to eat? You can eat anything you like, just choose from the menu. I will ring a bell for a royal guard to bring me food. You can choose ANYTHING you like."
He pulled out a small paper that was basically a menu, most notably fruit salad was one of the pieces on the menu.
"I do recommend the beef flank or the pork, it's delicious."

Chii was still in a state of shock... She honestly couldn't figure out why he would suddenly be so nice to her... She had no idea he even had this in him at all, since he had been nothing but flat out mean to her and the other slaves from day one.
First he says he might set me free if I do a good job with helping him plan the gala... Not that she honestly thought that that was a shot in hell. But now he's being... nice... She wasn't going to dare ask him why the sudden change, because why look a gift horse in the mouth?
Her heart fluttered nervously as she laid next to him, honestly worried he might devour her at any given second. Please let this just be innocent kindness.... God, wouldn't that be nice.
The bunny looked at the list and instantly knew what she wanted, no questions asked. But was it asking for a bit much? It sounded amazing though... she could feel her taste buds watering at even the concept of what she just read.
"M-May I have this... please, Master...?" She asked softly, pointing at the menu where it listed chocolate covered strawberries.

"Sure, you can have anything you like, Chii Reseria.
He rang a bell and a guard came in with a salute. The prince ordered the guard to put in the order for Chii and to deliver it to her personally, along with a milkshake.
"So Chii, what do you like to do? Read? If you want I can give you access to the royal archives and library. We have copies of almost EVERY book in the entire continent. I am sure that would be prudent to your interests."
He started rubbing her back.

He was using her new full name he had given her... out of no where... okay... that totally wasn't weird to say out of the blue...
And now he wanted to know about her interests? Uuuhh she had been here a MONTH and he had NEVER once inquired about her hobbies... her hobbies were only supposed to be waiting on him hand and foot after all...
Chii bit her lip nervously, not sure she should admit that was one of her favorite things to do... She nodded her head a little, a little worried she might get in trouble for admitting that. Slaves were not supposed to know how to read. The only other slave she knew could read here was Zuni, and it was only because they had both become slaves so later on in their life. Most of the slaves here were either taken as children or born into it...
She blinked at him, curiously. "R... Really? I-I'm allowed to?" She could literally get lost in an ocean of books... reading was the way she coped through all of the awful years at the hands of her addicted ridden parents. "I'd love that!" Chii was almost so excited over the concept of getting to read out of the royal library she completely distracted herself with the fact that Demitrious was touching her again, which normally made her cower in fear.

He took her hand and kissed it.
"For my sweet.... Chii."
He decided to pull her a little bit more close.
"After we cuddle for a little bit longer, I will take you over there. So you can see how big it is."
