Everyone:
After whittling away the time before class doing various things, you head into the lecture hall. The hall seems fairly large and contains about twice the amount of seats necessary for the amount of people in the class. At the front of the room is a large array of teaching instruments, ranging from the archaic chalkboard to more advanced screens and projectors that you don't even recognize. There are still a few more minutes until the class starts, and The Mentor has not arrived yet. There are still plenty of seats open, as not many of the other students have come in yet

I stake down a seat closest to the center of the room. During this time, I start messing around with my clothes, altering colors and shapes on it slightly, more out of idleness than having a goal in mind.

He slowly walked over to the back corner which was farthest away from the door. and took a seat there.

I sit down next to Mystra and watch her messing around with her clothes.
"You have so many beautiful options there," I say. "It must be easy to find one for every occasion."

Mystra & Neeché:
Tekira and Lyv sit by you two.

Krin:
Ore-ore sits next to you.

Everyone:
After a few minutes of waiting, The Mentor enters the room at exactly the scheduled time. He wants to the front of the room and faces everyone. "Alright class, it's time to get started. Rather than wasting a day on introductions, I shall get right into my first lecture; be sure to take notes." He says, causing a notebook and pencil to appear, floating in front of each of you, right after he finishes his sentence. "I assume all of you understand how to use those, but just in case: any questions before I begin?"

He looked at Ore-ore and tried to fake a smile, he then looked at the mentor.

I take the pencil and notebook, setting the notebook on the desk and get ready to write. I shake my head, indicating that I have no questions right now.

I take up the pencil and look at it curiously. I was more accustomed to a quill or pen, but it looked to operate similarly. I look over to neeche to answer her question."actually, it can be quite hard sometimes, infinate choices can make it a little overwhelming!"

"Heh heh. Makes humans sound stupid when you put it that way!" I say to Mystra.

Everyone:
Since no one has any questions, The Mentor goes up to the white board at the front of the room and begins writing as he speaks. "Alright, we will be beginning with the topic of universal constants. One thing you'll need to be very aware of as you travel through universes is that not all universes follow the same rules. Some things that would considered commonplace in one universe could be literal impossibilities in others. Take magic for example. Some of you come from universes where magic can be used anyone. Others come from universes where only the skilled can use it, and a few even come from universes where magic seemingly does not exist at all. But in the end, there is one aspect of magic that remains constant across all universes: The six colors of mana. Mana makes up just about everything in a universe with very few exceptions. Planeswalkers are able to use magic no matter what universe they are in by drawing mana from the world around them and molding it to their will. This will be the most important skill for each of you to learn, as you will find that your abilities may not even work in the universes that you travel to." The Mentor says aloud as he writes a few key phrases on the board for you to copy down. He then takes a quick pause and turns around to observe what each student is doing.

He was just watching the mentor teach, taking notes in his head, only from habit of not wanting to write things down as evidence or as a copy of his thoughts.

I jot down the key phrases and a few other things as he writes and speaks. I raise my hand.
"Sir, six mana colors? I thought there were only five," I say.

Neeché:
"Ah, yes, you bring up a good thing to note." The Mentor says as he looks at you. "It is a topic that not all Planeswalkers agree on, but I prefer to teach the six color scheme as it fits better with a more traditional view of the elements. I believe the system you are used to uses the colors: white, blue, black, red, and green; which are classified mostly by the significant abilities of each color. Whereas, I will be teaching you the setup of: Green, Yellow, Red, Blue, White, and Black; which correspond directly to the elements of: earth, wind, fire, water, light, and darkness. Does that make sense to you?"
PostPosted: Mon Oct 22, 2012 12:08 pm

I mutter to myself for a moment, trying to make sense of it.
"Yes, I think so," I say at length. "Sorry for my interruption, sir; please go on."

Mana colors? His second translation seems to make more sense, I'm familiar with mages that control the first four at least, the other 2 make a lot of sense though... I think to myself, writing things down as they seem important.
