With as much noise as Zanth was making on top of his acute hearing abilities Hunter heard the goblin's climb on to the roof before he opened his eyes and and saw the creature, listening to his comment about the elves.
"Yeah, I noticed. All show and as far as I can see nothing to back it up by way of fighting," He opened his eyes and nodded the direction he saw Sierra returning to the tavern from and hoped that the goblin had seen her too so he knew what he was talking about, "When you put her into a life or death battle it's hard to believe that Sierra is one of those same species, but would I think rather show her worth on the battlefield than being overdressed in flashy robes that could attract a demon with its eyes gouged out from being so bright and showy"
Hunter shook his head and sat in silence as the parade passed by the tavern and headed farther up the street to castle where he figured the meeting would be held before turning to Zanth.
"So why'd you decide to join our group?" Hunter asked him, "I mean from the stories I was told as a kit about goblins we really aren't the type of group you'd be seen with, we have barely any valuables or money on us, we aren't exactly a group of theives...well maybe Kisuke..., if you haven't heard we are going on what could possibly be a suicide mission to fight Jasper, so why us?"

Zanth sighed and rubbed the back of his neck as Hunter questioned him and spoke of his race, both of them. "er...well for one, I’m not a full goblin, I’m sure by now you have noticed my eyes." he said waving a hand at his blue-green and gold eyes. "My father is an elf, so believe me when I tell you, though they have their formalities, when it comes to war they are not shy about sticking an arrow in-between your eyes, though they are not brutal warriors like the people of Argonos...or Sierra."
He stared off in front of him thinking of the best way to explain his kind. "Also, while we are called Goblins because of our like of shiny objects, we are not actuality Goblins, those creatures live in the outlands and are ugly Orc-like creatures, that steal gold and spit acid and have more of a shrivelled bat-like appearance, from what I have been told my kind look more like lions, though we are not as brave." he smiled sheepishly and his tail flicked back and forth at the thought. "And while we like gold and jewels, we don't lust for it...we don't steal it or wish we had what someone else carries, if we do acquire some, weather we find it or is given to us, it becomes part of us and its easy to store magic in, we love magic more then gold especially fairy magic." When Hunter mentioned the Demon Kings name, he flinched, he didn't try to hide his discomfort since his behaviour wouldn't be suspicious, but he had to quickly remove his hand from his scarred shoulder, he hadn't realized he had raised his hand until he was lowering it back down into his lap. he quickly came up with a lie, with some truth, but a lie non the less, Goblins were great storytellers. "I told you about how goblins love magic...if Ja-" He nearly chocked on the name and took a different approach. "The Dark King wins then the faeries would die and true, pure, magic would be lost...it must get my courage from my father, but I want to fight to prevent that, while my people have fled, I want to remain behind and fight the dark elf who betrayed the fae long ago...and if the only way is through a suicide mission, then at least I will die fighting for everything I love." even if he told a lie, he believed it himself though his eyes also held another meaning 'at least if I die, my suffering will end. *Lei'irin forgive me.' *Life holder/ Mother nature (Goddess of the Fae)

Hunter sighed again and thought about what Zanth said, now that he got a closer look at him he did look more like a cat wild-born than the goblins he described and the ones Hunter had fought with both back home and in the arena.
"I don't believe you," Hunter said, shaking his head and crossing his arms, "If you weren't brave you wouldn't have climbed up on the roof to talk to someone you barely know, if you weren't brave you'd probably still be those two drunk b*****d wolves' private performer, if yo weren't brave...."
He paused and chose his next set of words carefully, "You'd be using your freedom to run AWAY from the demon king and not towards him," Hunter stood up and walked across the roof and put his hand on the trembling creature's shoulder, "and for what it's worth as your ally and friend, that to me is bravery."
Hunter smiled and as fast as the serious expression came it was replaced by a more cheerful expression on his face and he started to make his way to the ledge before stopping and turning around .
"I know you barely made your way up here , but come on, let's go get Sierra, Firion, and Kisuke and see what all the festival hype is about."

Sierra was standing outside the doorway to the tavern, off to the side so as to not block the door. In her hand was a half glass of wine she had retrieved at the bar when she had left her former perch in the tree to return back to the tavern. From the doorway she continued to watch the procession of the parade, then only movement other than drinking from the glass was glancing up at the scrabbling noises from when the goblin was climbing up to the roof to join Hunter, then again as she assumed one of the two was getting up and moving again. When she finished her glass she handed it to a passing barmaid and continued to stand in the same place she had been standing in before.

Firion was at the city's blacksmith, working like how he usually did for the past few weeks they were there and at the moment he was focusing on a large sheet of metal. It was amazing how just a few hours of extreme heat and a hammer he could transform a simple old piece of iron into something beautiful, and to that he always thought of a sword or other weapon. However, at this time he wasnt working on a sword or other hand weapon, by the looks of it, it was a small piece to something larger. Could it possibly be armor for the king or some sort of large weapon? No one knew, but he did and he didnt want anyone to know about it until the right moment.

Hunter didn't wait for a response, but just assumed that Zanth would eventually follow him down from the roof, and jumped down from the edge and landed somewhat awkwardly since he had been sitting on the roof for a while watching the whole show this morning and then talking with Zanth for a while now, he stood up and dusted himself off before heading into the tavern since he had seen Sierra go in this direction, but didn't see her anywher outside right now.
Hunter's suspicions proved right as he entered the place, nearly knocking oer ANOTHER tipsy werewolf making his way out all the while wondering why they were even allowed here if the outcome was always the same, and saw the elf warrior leaning against the wall away from everybody else, but close by the bar and just light enough to see what was going on.
He sighed, preparing to defend himself if need be and walked up to where she was standing. "Hey Sierra, He said as he got closer, "you ready to find the dragon and the raccoon and meet up with Ves and the other gypsies before the show and talking starts?"
((going to try to give this thing a kickstart again and see if we can breathe some life back into this RP))

Jasper couldn't help but smirk as he approached the gates of Argonos, so many years of waiting and watching in the shadows, so many years of dreaming for this moment, And now he would watch as Kingdoms burned around him, reducing to piles of ash as he cleared them away to make room for the new world. He glanced over to his 'travelling companion', a figure covered in a black cloak walking slowly after him, they were smaller then he was and a pair of golden eyes peeked out from under the shadows of the hood, but those eyes didn't glow with life, they were dull, the only sign of life was from the figure's movements as they trailed behind jasper. When they reached the gates a Guard stopped them, a wild born were-tiger. He inspected Jasper first, but to him the Drow was just a normal elf with black hair and pale skin, though his bright green eyes were a bit unusual. The guard moved on to the cloaked figure and back up when a sent hit his nostrils. "She smells like death." He commented glaring at Jasper waiting for an explanation. Jasper outwardly shifted and looked distraught. "Please, we must get inside my wife is sick, we are humble travellers in seek of a doctor." He pleaded, moving closer to 'her' and wrapped his arms around her shoulders in a loving and protective manner. Taking pity on the two, the guard quickly nodded and waved to the guard above to open the gates.
Out of sight of the guard jasper shoved the figure away from himself and continued down the street with her following close behind. he stopped when they came near the center of the city and spotted two creatures on the roof of a tavern and a dark smirk crossed his features.
~~~
Zanth was about to follow hunter down, when the ringing started up again and forced his head to turn towards the south end of the road. His eyes widened as he saw an elf smirking back at him, and immediately he knew who it was. he gulped and glanced down, seeing Hunter talking with Sierra. He backed up and slid down the other side jumping onto the next roof before jumping down into a dark alleyway. he winced and let out a soft hiss as he hit the ground, his legs crumpling below him and he grasped his head in pain, but he stood soon after and pulled out a flute, not the one the fairies had given him, but a sleek black one with dark runes carving the obsidian wood. soon he heard music playing nearby and laughing and clapping and peeked around the corner to see Vestakia up on the stage the Gypsies had set up, her show had started early, but it would give him the cover he needed.
He watched as the Vixen danced around to the lively music, dressed in gold and blue silk skirts and earning gold from the crowd, but he could not bring himself to enjoy it as the pain in his head increased and he turned away from the scene and slipped into the shadows of the ally and raised the flute to his lips.
~~~
The moment the dark melody of the flute began to play and the dark magic was being woven into the more lively music Jasper idly waved his hand at the figure behind him and she vanished into the crowd, moving like a shadow. There was a scream from a woman several yards in front of him and the shouting began as a stream of imps ran out of the ally the Goblin resided in and began their assault on the nearest citizens, shrieking and hissing all the way and if they did manage to grab someone, they would bite and claw their victims inflicting as much pain as they could before the unfortunate creature fell. among the chaos Jasper slipped away and began to make his way towards the castle.

Kisuke stretched on his bed in the tavern and rolled out of it. He looked outside the window and noticed that it was daylight! "Oh man...I over slept." He said tiredly. "Thank god the noise from above woke me up." He said and walked out into the tavern to see Sierra and Hunter. He made his way through everyone the best he could, his eyes were still a little heavy, "Hello guys, where is everyone else?"

Hunter nodded towards Kisuke as he made his way down the stairs and joined him and Sierra.
"Well for starters you and Sierra are here, Zanth was on the roof last I checked and as for Dragon boy and Ves...I'm not sure, that's what I was going to go find them before things got crazy with all the festivities and stuff starting," Hunter paused, "I'm not sure about sierra, but are you ready to get going? The officials arrived and I think we may need to be at the palace later for some leader-ish stuff and I for one want to enjoy this and see if it's all that the king, banners, and gypsies made it out to be."
Though Hunter spoke with a joking tone, he checked his waist to make sure that his sword was still there, he didn't know what, but for some reason he felt something big was going to happen and it wasn't going to be good...

The silver dragon was in the middle of molding a new block of iron before he heard the distant music being played, it calmed him at first until a second tune was played, it didnt match with the first set and sent a chill down his spine. He slowed his pace just slightly until he heard distant screams, ignoring his work he through the burning block of metal down onto the floor, grabbed his armor and sword and began running. He quickly slipped on the pieces of armor, completely forgetting about the blacksmith apron, and muttered a few words in his native tongue.
When he reached the festival, or at least what he believed to be, the sight of imps running about and killing whoever they caught angered him. With a quick flick of his wrist his sword unfolded and charged at the smaller creatures, lashing his blade out at the small creatures that came into reach. After a few of the imps had fallen, he sensed another presence, this one much darker than anyone he had met. Could it be Shiven? Could his hunt finally be over? He wasnt sure, but he wasnt about to let a few imps destroy his chance. After lopping down another imp he sprinted for the castle, one hand held up in front of his face, all but his index finger and middle finger folded, and began to mutter in his language once more, not in prayer, but instead demanding the Guardians to help him in this battle.

"Heads up guys this party is about to finally get entertaining"
This was all Hunter said as he heard the imps and the sea of screams they brought with them and drew his sword, artifact and all out of it's sheath, the dark black blade emitting an eerie glow in the low light of the late morning sun coming through the windows, seconds before the door to the tavern burst into splinters and the imps he thought were fewer in number and further away piled through it and the windows attacking and destroying everything in their path.
"I hope you two aren't too rusty because right now we've got a tavern to defend and some allies to find" He said, a slight growl in his voice and his eyes even more feral than usual as he sliced through one imp that jumped from the pack in an effort to catch him off guard and turned towards the rest of the pack while shouting now and slightly mocking, "Comon mighty elven warrior and great wind thief, you gonna help or do I have to do this all myself?" He bashed an imp out of the way using his now gauntleted free hand and slashed down another with his sword.

Zanth pulled the flute away from his lips and stared at the portal that had opened before him, he heard the screams as the Imps rushed out, slaughtering all in their path. He let go of the dark flute but it continued to play and it floated in mid-air, held up by the dark energy it produced, the portal would not close until it was destroyed. With tears in his eyes he climbed up the nearest wall and landed in the next ally, he didn't know the flute would do this when Jasper gave it to him with strict instructions to play it at the festival. oh he wasn't stupid, he knew it would do something terrible, but not summon a horde of Imps and he wasn't even sure if that was the only thing about to come through the portal.knowing the Dark King and his love of 'surprises'.
He called out for the others pushed through the panicking crowds avoiding the swinging of blades as the warriors of the cities began to fight back, some of them shifting to their animal forms to take care of the lesser demons. He nearly made it back to the Tavern before a group of Imps tackled him, oh they knew who he was, but in their blood lust they didn't care. He screamed as he felt their teeth and claws trying to tear him apart his screaming mixed with strangled snarls and hisses as he ripped each one of the revolting creatures off him but they kept returning. "Ro Aki'in!" he shouted and a bright white light surrounded him the Imps shrieking in shock and pain as the pure magic consumed them, but then the Magic turned inwards on Zanth instead of dispersing and he gasped clutching his chest.
He felt as if a part of him was burning and he fell, his legs crumpling underneath him the sound of chaos around him began dulled as if he was underwater. He writhed in pain before finally the magic stopped. His chest hurt more then his other wounds but it wasn't burning anymore. He stood gasping for air and then continued to look for the others as he pushed through grabbing a dagger from a fallen warrior and used it to kill the vile creatures along the way.

((I'm sorry for not posting my wifi thing ran out of space and had to wait til it turned over and I could use the internet again))
Sierra looked up from her now empty glass to look at Hunter as he came up to her and spoke. She placed the empty glass on the bar and before she could respond Kisuke came up to them. She figured going with them to walk around and heading to the palace would be something to do other than staying inside the tavern and doing nothing which bored her to death. Moving forward she prepared to leave with them when the screaming began and the sight of imps and fighting and killing caught her attention, Hunter was the first to act and she looked over to him as he spoke to her and Kisuke. Sierra snorted, "I don't know Hunter, you seem to have everything under control here." She gave a short, "Ha!" After that then surged forward withdrawing her blade from the harness on her back and attacked the nearest group of imps and began slashing. She made sure not to stray to far from Hunter and Kisuke in case something were to go wrong.
