When tea was ready Ciel and Lizzy sat down to drink and eat the snacks, and they talked and hung out like they always did. Lizzy was happy to be there for him as a friend, and soon it was time for her to go. She hugged him good bye before going on home, better that she got to see him.
Ciel went up to his bedroom before he opened up the note and read it before finding the engagement ring in the envelope with it. "She...broke off the engagement? Does she know...how I see her?" Sebastian stepped into the room with him. "Yes she does know that you only see you as a sister, and she doesn't wish to drag you down. She still wishes to be there for you as a friend, and wishes your happiness Bochan."
"My happiness...huh?"

The sun was peeking out from behind the clouds. Isabella enjoyed the freedom of movement that the dresses had never given her. She did a cartwheel in the grass, then found her self sitting on a stone bench near some flowerbeds.
'Sammael, I understand that I shouldn't become so attached, but....it has been so long since I've had a friend my own age.'
The girl looked up smiled pleased that she could sit cross legged or with her knee drawn up. This was the kind of freedom her mother never allowed her.
'My mother will soon be dead, and she will never beat me, never imprison me again, I could do whatever I want. But, I could never be free could I?' Isabella looked down at her right hand that was always covered by a glove.'I have a duty, a holy duty.'
The girl hummed to herself, thinking about how Sammael would have loved this garden with all the flowers, he would be delighted to simply stand here and look at all the colors, smell the freshness of the cool refreshing wind.
Eventually, she humming turned into a soft rendition of 'Ave Maria' the girl's pure tone filling the flower gardens, the song was almost sad, wistful.

Ciel's window was wide open and he could see the gardens from in there. He placed the ring back into the envelop and back in his dresser before he looked out the window and saw her playing out and humming in the gardens. He smiled a tiny bit before he sighed and remembered the paperwork he had to get done, or else he's be tempted to go out there with her. He walked into his study before beginning to do just that while Sebastian waited by, in case he was needed.

Later that day, Claude had to take Bardroy's flamethrower away from him. Having just stopped by the kitchen in time to prevent him from charring the roast that was supposed to be part of dinner that night.
"Thank you for your help. but that roast is quiet well done thank you."
Bard frowned. "Well...if ya say so Claude."
"Would you be so kind as to just put it on a serving platter and put a few bread buns in that bowl?" Claude turned around, Sebastian had finished cooking supper that night, then left to call the young Lord and his guest for dinner. Claude was there to get the side dishes ready and make sure that Bard didn't do anything stupid to the roast.

Ciel went down to dinner and waved at Isabella when he saw her. "I saw you playing in the gardens today. Do you enjoy them? I was just wondering because you seemed really happy down there." He went into the kitchen and sat down at the dining room table and patted the seat next to him to sit down.

Bella smiled and sat down in the seat next to him."Yes, It's lovely. This was the first time that I spent the whole afternoon outside in awhile." Her comment was a painful reminder of being imprisoned by her insane mother. "It's different from the garden's back home. I like this English weather. Summer in Spain is usually very hot. Sammael would have loved to see the flowers. Maybe when he comes tomorrow, I'll show him your gardens Ciel."

"We have employed here the very best gardener named Finnian. He tends to the flowers and plants every single day, making sure that they are always at their very best. I'm certain that whatever he his he'll enjoy my wonderful gardens. By the way if he's not a demon...then what is he? I promise not to tell anyone if you tell me. I'm just curious that's all."

Isabella lowered her gaze, wondering just how much she should tell him. Sammael would get angry if she told Ciel outright. "You are right to assume that he's not just a normal man.....Sammeal.....Has been serving my family for a very very long time, You could say that he's duty-bound to serve the Torquemadas." Bella's smile had faded. "And I am the last of that line. My mother married into the family. It was my father that Sammeal served before me...and my grandfather before him. I don't know really know what Sammael is."

Ciel sighed a bit. "So he's been a family servant then? I have a feeling that you're not telling me the whole truth here, but I understand because you're trying to protect him. I would do anything to protect my servants as well. No one but a select few know what he really is. That has always been between him and me. Whenever you want to play chess again let me know...just know that my dares will get more and more advanced."

After dinner, Claude was busy finishing up the day's chores. Keeping his mind busy since hearing of Ciel's "contract" with the Reaper would have Sebastian away for the whole day starting at sunrise, He wanted to finish early so that he'd have that night to spend with him. And Claude wanted to be sure to make his mark on Sebastian before he let the red-haired shinigami have him.

Sebastian continued to read his book in the library.
Meanwhile Grell and the Baroness were having dinner together and Grell was planning on killing her after getting her out of her clothes. He was going to snatch them and add them to his private collection. "Are you enjoying your dinner my Dear? I made everything here myself."

"Yes love, dinner is quite lovely." Katarina smiled, the gown she wore was a red one with a low revealing cut at the neck and shoulders. The pretty red satin shimmered in the candlelight.
"Are we going to go out again tonight?" She asked.

"Sebastian, I have finished everything, the young master is reading in bed and his guest retired to her room for the night." Claude said, walking into the library. He noticed the book the book was a christian book of angelology.. "Have you found anything more on this 'Sammael' ? "

"Good work Claude. As for Sammael I know he's been in that girl's family for a really long time, so maybe he's a guardian angel of some kind, attached to his family for the remainder of the line. Isabella is the last, so perhaps after her he'll show his true colors."
Grell smirked before he shook his head no. "I was thinking that we would stay in tonight and have some fun just between the two of us. You promised to entertain me correct? I want to see how good you are in between my legs." He of course was lying to her. He was no longer interested at her with ideas of having Sebby in that spot instead of her.

"That does makes sense, that would explain his hostility towards us. He doesn't like demons so near to his charge. " Claude came closer and trailed his hand along the side of Sebastian's face. "I am not looking forwards to tomorrow."

Sebastian looked at his hand before back at his face again. "Me either. I don't like Grell as much as I like you."
"I'm always getting naughty my Dear. Oh you do do you? Well whatever may that be hm? And just what do you think my needs are exactly? Do you really think you know what's going on in my mind?"
