I wake to see Jurdean smiling at me. "Ungh." I get up and grab my robes. "Hitomi is waiting for you, I looked through your water. She wants to see yo0u!" He starts to tease me. I grab my scarf, and it works its way around my throat, and then I go to the gates. The centaur backs away and I go through the gates. I go through the portal and wait patiently for the guard at the palace gates to go get her. I sit there fiddling my thumbs.

The two continued to talk till theres a knock to her door, a deep voice is heared,"Lady Hitomi, there is someone at the gates who wishes to see you and it sounds important." She nudges slightly annoyed that someone wanted to see her thinking it was going to be bad,"I wish not to see anyone at this time, leave me alone." "But my lady.....it is someone who wishes to see you a lot, a man of blonde hair and a scarf." Hitomi stares to the door shocked and realized the description,"Azelus!...hes come back!" Ketsueki watches her and smiles to her happiness,"Whats the wait....go see him, you got your wish now dont just stand there." He vanishes into her headpiece jewel telling her to go and she rushes out as the guard catches up to her barely. Once outside she could see him once again but runs closer thinkinh if this was the last time or not, she wasnt going to take any chances.
Hitomi stops in a hault and grabs hold of the gates bar and waits for them to open,"I thought I would never see you again....but I'm so glad your here." she wanted to get close but didnt know if she would be able to touch him since last time he had the appearance of a ghost, she nearly started to cry again but held it in,"Back from your last visit you said the next time we meet would be in the arena...I dont want that to be it, I was about to even risk getting myself into the unholy lands myself to find you but Ketsueki told me of my risk." She finally had a smile on her face something she hasnt had since the fight Yuki and her had, a sigh came from her headpiece, Kesueki realized what she was feeling but felt about her almost attempt.

Yuki watched Eve and nearly nods,"Very well then we first need to see what you have in handling magic, lets see how long you can hold a flame in your hand." She backs slightly and starts to hold out her hand as black flame covered her hand. "Concentrate on thinking of your hand and imagine the flame barly touching the skin, however think too hard and you'll burn you hand pretty bad, magical flame burns are far worst then a regular one." Yuki keeps her eyes on Eve but keeps in great thought not to burn herself. "You might burn yourself a few times but it'll be ok, I burnt myself dozens of times before doing it right....just be careful."

I stand there, and wait for her to get over it. "Come on, stop acting like a child!" I smile cockily and then laugh at her indignation. "Nah, seriously. I get to come out now, as long as I am a good boy, and do what i am told..." I launch into a tirade of shaking my finger and kicking my feet. Then I sigh. "Well, you wanted to see me, what is it?" Jurdean leans around me and waves. "This here imp told me...."

She tilts her head slightly and looks down seeing him and kneels, she never seen imps before but never realized how small they were but she smiles pointing her finger to him as if he was a puppy,"You know, you almost look like my niece's plushie if it was alive." Hitomi jokes slightly and gets back up facing Azelus,"Anyways, I wanted to see you again since the last time we were together was when we were on the run and...." she paused thinking if she said her true feelings that he wouldn't feel the same as well but it would be a weight off her shoulder. "You see that small time we spent I have had strong feelings for you but was too scared to know what it was but now I know. I....I really like you and it all started when you helped me in the arena that day when I was close to death but instead you saved me, noone else would of done that and had probably killed me on the spot." Hitomi's hands started to shake but knew that if she had said her feelings then perhaps her mind could actually think clear.

Eve caught the flame and wasn't paying attention too much other than to start juggling it haphandly. When Yuki spoke, eve jumped and burned her hands.
"Crap! Sorry! I wasn't paying attention your highness." Eve sighed and pulled out her staff from the ground and stood attention.

Yuki sighs and shakes her head slightly like she knew it was going to happen one way or another. "Its alright accidents happen, like I said I've burned myself many times before I got it right and mainly I was playing around." She bends down to the garden and plucks a petal from a greyish pink flower and holds Eves palms, then twists the petal till a pinkish goo spills onto her burned spots. She then rubs it gently and blows on it lightly and soon the goo starts to dry slightly and looks up to Eve,"This should start to heal in a few seconds but now lets try this again but perhaps lets try this again." Yuki raises out her hand again and lets Eve focus for a minute then smirks,"This time concentrate on the flame.....and try not to get distracted I know you like to play with fire but this time its urgent to remember what your dealing with." She darts her attention to Eve's face and tosses the ball to her,"Once you get a handle on it inmerse it with your own....I want you to change the hue."

Eve caught it and was closely consentrating on the flames. she was begining to think back on how she saw her parents die and the ball of fire turned from purple to bright red and yellow. When yuki started to applode her, Eve didn't even notice as the flame not only got brighter but also started to grow higher. It was only when Yuki tapped Eve that she realised what she was doing.She smiled sheepishly and shrugged.

"Impressive, and on your second try as well, thats very good so now you know the basic of handling so lets go on then." Yuki smiles and turns walking about ten to twenty feet away from Eve and turns back to her. "Since handling it is not a problem next comes some fun but here you need to watch closely for this will mean getting it right or failing." Her voice grew tense and serious but sounded like she had no idea what she was doing but it was clear in her eyes that she was planning it all,Yuki smirks and looks at her again,"I want you to throw a fireball right at me with all your might,I'll block it easily but if you dont calculate it right it'll hit me and I wont know when to block and most likely burn myself.....no pressure now eh? just remember the consequence." At that point Eve almost thought Yuki was crazy to do this but Yuki had the look in her eyes that this wasnt a game.

Eve looked at Yuki like she had lost her mind but when she saw that Yuki was not joking around,she took a shaky breath and closed her eyes and brought forth all her anger and mustered it into her fist. The flames began to burn bright and when she was ready, she opened her eyes. They were glowing red and black and she hissed. In a split instant, she through the fireball but it split up and formed a pentagram around Yuki. It had her pinned. It was then that Eve realised what she ahd done and looked at Yuki.
" What is this? Why is it that I can perfom this kind of magic and I don't even posess those kind of skills?"
eve was begining to panic and was backing up slowly from Yuki.She didn't want to hurt anybody.

Yuki didnt say anything yet didnt show any fear being pinned, shes seen this before but just closes her eyes,"Its called a gift in my eyes, you have this gift with the magics but never knew it until now,....now hear this Eve you have no right to feel afraid of it because its a good thing to posess as long as you know how to use it." Yuki opens her eyes again and sees Eve still a little spooked but mearly just smiles,"You know, that is the same reaction I had once I knew I had dark power, the ability of the dark magic is still new to me but as for the one i was born with I was afraid." She winces slightly as a flame caught her finger but looks to her,"But hear this though, I was scared that I had magic of the shadows but Scarlet broke my shell of being scared and taught me to accept my gift I was born with......and thats what I'm going to do for you and have you honor the gift you posess then regret having it, you'll see.....it all alright Eve." Yuki's face stayed normal though she was still terrified of the attacked but learned how to tolerate it from numerous times Scarlet used it on her when she got annoyed.

Eve sighed and let the fire diminish from sight before she looked up at Yuki." That is the first time that I ever remember being able to perform magic like that. J said something about me doing that and that I need to keep it a secret.But Why? if you say it's a gift, then why should I keep it a secret?"
Eve was begining to get agitated but It was getting to be the point that Yuki was going to have to tell Eve that her powers came from Scarlet herself but somehow not let on that she was Scarlet.That was going to be very tricky.

I look down. "Well, its not really something I could manage. I mean, I felt the same thing back then, but now, things could never work out. I am..... very sorry. You need to know it though, where I am, things like love are not a priority. Living is. Even with the somewhat cushioned life I am living can be taken away instantly if someone was to get jealous. So.... No, I can't, not now." Jurdean grabs my leg and pulls me to the ground, then he slaps me. "What the hell, Jur?"
"You speak nonsense! No one can touch you, what with your personal guards!" He hits me again, and I throw him off of me. "But thats not all the reason is it? Sara, huh?" I give him a glare of daggers and he shies away.
"Hitomi, look, I can't have what happened with Sara and Yuki happen to us. You would be a bit of a liability, she wants where I live, but I can not have that. Believe me, its a screwed up thing, but its got to be done...." I look down.

At fist she didnt want to believe what he had but knew it was the true fact, even if she wanted to be with him it would be a huge risk. She lowers her head as well nearly close to tearing but held in it all not to show it,"I understand....with all that is going on it would be risky." Hitomi said she understood but inside she felt hurt like someone has stabbed her but stops thinking it as it reminded her of when Yuki did the same. "Well at least I said what I wanted to say to you and the reason I wanted to meet you again.....so, thats the reason and I got your side of it as well." Ketsueki's voice is heared in the jewel,You see my dear I have told you there would be consequences to your desire...yet you decided to find out the hard way."Yes, I know that now Ketsueki....truely I do." Hitomi knew that how she was acting was childish but she finally broke and blood tears ran down her cheek feeling the emotin of heartbreak that hurt her badly, another emotin she had failed to learned.

I turn to leave, and then look back. "Wipe those tears. You can't be like that, lest Sara see it. Then think of what she could do, all to get to you and me." With those, rather cold, words I leave. Jurdean bounces behind me, and I grab him by the collar. Thats when I see Sara. She smiles joyfully, and I back up some. "Oh great."
"I saw that pathetic moment. Come, lets go see her, shall we?" She says joyfully. I am whisked back to being in front of Hitomi, and Sara smiles. "Aw, boo hoo! Did wittle Hitomi get all wejected?" I go to punch her, but she sidesteps, and I hit the dirt. Jurdean jumps, using his wings to give him some added punch,. and he hits her in the back. She turns, and sends him flying against the gates. "Pesky little things, I can not wait till I can kill you!"

She stood there for a few minute till a guard touches her shoulder and jumps a little,"My lady.....will you be alright? that was quite a hurtful conversation." Hitomi looks up to him and wipes her face looking down,"Yeas, I'll be fine it has to be this way.....excuse me I must be in my quarters for a moment." he nods to her,"Take all the time you need my lady, this is a time you need to be alone to clear your mind.....take all the time you need." Hitomi walks alone but instead goes to the back and walks to a hidden pond just in view of the palace and sits near a bed of black and red lilies, Ketsueki sighs feeling what she was feeling,Well....it was a hard thing to hear but it had to be said straight and he is right you know. "But I want to be with him so badly it hurts thinking about him and where he is." she adds breaking a lily in her fingers, "I never felt love before and the only time I do it comes with another emotion that hurt....is all love like this?" Ketsueki just go silent unable to really give a direct answer without upsetting her more.Hitomi...I know it hurts now but you have to understand that what he said is very true, if Sara was to find out about this she could use that as a way to get at both of you remeber how you thought Yuki had killed you out of the blue? she looks up and nods,Well then thats because she controlled you to attack and you didnt even know it, see Sara has her ways to do things and know she has tricked Yuki to giving up the realm to her so you could live again,she never wanted to kill you but had no choice but to. Hitomi didnt speak again and stayed quiet tracing her fingers in the lilies breaking them as she went but now she said nothing.

Yuki looks at Eve's frustration and knew what was going on in her mind, once freed she walks to her and hugs her tight not even thinking,"Yes its a gift you have but there are great reason to keep it secret....just for the time being right now." Yuki had to tell her the truth but on the other hand try to make it as truthful then it was, she has her sit and so does herself and picks a nightshade blossem twiling it in her hand,"Its hard to say it but I think you needed an answer to all this.....you see Eve there are times when a god will give the gifts of magic to a few number of people who they believe could handle it." Eve looks to her intrested and she nods,"Well I'm trying to make it easier to understand but well......Scarlet has given you the gift you know right now and right this moment is how you know what magic you have, it just took awhile to latch onto the ability, it happened to me once I recieved the power of the Dark magic." Yuki removes her glove showing the etched scripture seen on her skin from using the magic,"See I was etched with the whole scriptur on my body from my husband and now I am forever to bear its words in me but thats what keeps me strong....however J is right to have you keep it secret as a safety precaution." She looks at Eve straight in the eyes serious for once,"Sara would do anything to find and destroy those who are more powerful then herself, thats why she nearly killed me several times because she doesnt show it but inside she is afraid of me and my darkness level especially including the shadows....thats the same with you and your ability and to Sara your a treat just like I am and working together really shakes her." Yuki finishes and just stands up looking to the flowers thinking if how she told Eve her magic ability was decent enough, she told the truth somewhat but had to embellish a few details so the real truth didnt come out."
