" You mean before it tears us apart? Sure, Let's just stop dead in our tracks and wait for it to maul us." This girl was the physical embodiment of the phrase " curiosity killed the cat." Or she would be if he was actually going to let her take a look at whatever it was that killed that guy and hacked off his legs. his imagination was reeling as he began to try and catch up to lake and Kira, He couldn't materialize anything in his head though. It was like in a nightmare. He was being chased by something unseen and even though he didn't know how it looked, he knew that it wanted to 'get' him. Then probably eat him.
Which gave him a horrible thought on what happened to that guys legs.

.Lake. "A ghost, huh?" He frowned deeply, glancing over his shoulder - though of course, he saw nothing. "Hn. Well, they do say cats and dogs can see things that people can't..." He shook his head, then straightened up, extending his hand to her, albiet somewhat reluctantly. "Hey, uh...come on. Huddling on the floor isn't gonna help you much, right? This place is full of dangerous things...I wouldn't be surprised if one of those things was headed our way. Best thing to do is haul a**."
He took her hand and pulled her to her feet. "Ahh..." he looked down at her as she stood before him, rubbing the back of his head. "H-heh...y'know, you're pretty short, kiddo," he mused, smirking a little. He paused...then took another shot anyway, the smirk turning a little sleezy. "I like that."

ĸıɍą ☆ Ƥıēřċǝ_________________________☓☓☓Kira rocked back to her feet, her eyes darting warily side to side, until she heard Lake's comment. Her expression fell, darkening instantly. "Shut up! Didn't you just say we'd better keep going? Let's g-!"
She cut off, her body jolting visibly in alarm as her head jerked back around. The ghost was right behind her. In fact, it was touching her, the bloodied hands pushing against her back. It was cold, sending a violent shiver down her spine.
"Run!" it rasped out.
Kira needed no further urging. She bolted forward, her hand lashing out to grab Lake's hand and tug him after her. "Wh-whatever ate that guy's legs is coming back!" she shrilled, panic quickly returning. "We have to go!" ♥ ☓ ♥

" It really ate his goddamn legs? DON'T TELL ME THAT." Agro shouted to her, eyes wide with shock. An odd expression on a wolf. He would just imagine that he hadn't heard it, that it was in fact, his imagination. Kira seemed to be spooked, quite bad and quite literally. If she was actually seeing ghosts, Agro wouldn't have been surprised. There were probably witches and goblins and vampires running around too!It looked like it was going to be one of those days, and he was going to hate it more and more and more. For now, he was just going to keep all four legs moving and not look back until the ghost whispering panther girl told them it was okay to stop and rest.

.Lake. "Okay, okay! I'm coming!" He hastened after her as she yanked him along by his hand, though he couldn't help but glance over his shoulder just to make sure he really couldn't see any ghosts floating around. In a way, he was rather relieved that he could not. As if he needed any other symptoms proving he was going insane.
He would have liked to think he would stay to tackle the oncoming danger, if for no other reason than to impress the girls, had he not already been weakened by his previous transformations. His claws were still out, but he didn't have the strength nor energy to transform fully again...he would need copious amounts of food and sleep before that could happen. He doubted he would be getting either in the near future.
"So what? We just keep running until...it gets bored? Does it even know we're here yet? Sooner or later, we're going to get wrapped up in one of those corridor mazes...if we don't watch where we're going, we'll never find our way out again!"

ĸıɍą ☆ Ƥıēřċǝ_________________________☓☓☓"S-sorry," Kira stammered, glancing toward Agro before staring ahead again, trying to focus upon where she was going, and not on the ghost following behind her. It was true though... They should realize the apparent magnitude of escaping the thing that was chasing them. Maybe it'd help them keep going as well, since they couldn't see the ghost. Speaking of which...
"Don't stay right behind me!" she shrieked, staring at a seemingly empty space of air just behind her neck. At least, it was empty for everyone else. The ghost shrank back a little, but didn't leave entirely, and Kira slowly faced forward again.
"Yes," she snapped at Lake. "I can backtrack once it's safe, so just keep goi- a-ahh..."
Actually, these hallways were already seeming familiar. She could catch their scents around them in places they hadn't yet been. Or, had they gone in a circle somehow? The hallway they were in. Did.. it seem a bit too dark..? A horrible smell had hit her as well. It smelled thickly of blood and charred flesh, like that of the bathroom, and the burnt room from before.
Her pace began to slow a little, and with her hand still clutching Lake's, she hoped he'd do the same. Her sprint had reduced to a jog, then an abrupt halt as she rounded another corner. "Ah- mmph..!" She started to scream, but pressed her free hand over her mouth, muffling it as her eyes grew wide. For a split second, she simply froze in place, but another hasty tug from her new ghost friend had her stumbling over herself to get back around the corner and out of sight.
"Oof..." Becca, caught off guard by the quick stop, ran smack into Lake's back and then stumbled back, body swaying as she fought to keep herself standing. "What's up..?"
She glanced between them, then cautiously peeked around Kira's side. Even she froze upon seeing the scene laid out in the hallway. "Oh g..."
There was a creature in the hall, bent over a figure that lay sprawled along the ground. The body wasn't moving, and it looked familiar. The head was toward them, staring through sightless eyes that were rolled back to the whites, his lips agape and seeping blood. More of the dark liquid was oozing from beneath his limp form.
It was the metal throwing giant from before. ♥ ☓ ♥

Agro managed to find a small opening to get a look at whatever was so important that they had to stop, he didn't feel like they were getting away, in fact it felt like they got turned around. He peered around and used all his power not to shout some vulgarity then run with a new, but similar purpose as before.
____________________________________________________________
This creature had the shape and form of a man, two arms and two legs. It had the face of a man, albeit mostly painted with blood. It wore cloths and shoes and bent down the way a person would. It ate something like an animals, going right at the muscle between the neck and the shoulder with its teeth, ripping and tearing. Making no sign that it cared about the mess it was making, covering its brown leather long coat with even more curious dark stains. It held the fresh corpse down with its hands to make it easier to tear off chunks and quickly devour them. It was ravenous. Like it couldn't eat fast enough to satisfy a terrible hunger. It made grunts and snarls that one might associated with an animal, but at the same time these sounds were not something and animal would make.
It looked like a man, it ate like a beast.
Unfortunately it was neither of these things.
What was presented before the four unlikely companions was something that could only be described as a terrible, unnatural and ugly affront to all things good.
A monster.

.Lake. Lake had opened his mouth again, perhaps to make some other snide remark, or perhaps protest the intensity of Kira's mounting panic as she dragged him along...but whatever it was, he found it promptly fading from his mind as he began to smell something, as well.
"Ah..."
He thought he more or less recognized the man - the body, that is - and vaguely remembered having his a** handed to him earlier by that same body. Of course, he'd had his a** handed to him so many times in this place that he was beginning to lose count of the perpetrators.
Not to mention, it was hardly the most pressing issue at the moment. Although, the gory details were not what troubled him...Lake had seen more than his fair share of blood and guts, and seeing these particular ones did not make him particularly unhappy.
What DID make him unhappy was the creature feasting on said blood and guts...for in an eerie, peculiar sort of way, it was like looking in a mirror. To Lake, what was crouched before them was nothing more and nothing less than precisely what he saw himself as...the epitomy of self-reflection that he would rather die than admit to. A savage, a beast...a monster. It seemed to have no thoughts, no feelings...it simply lusted, driven by pure instinct, far darker and more twisted than any mere animal. It was a creature.
It was him.

ĸıɍą ☆ Ƥıēřċǝ_________________________☓☓☓She was going to be sick. Kira's hand kept against her mouth, and her eyes were wide, but unable to look away from the sight. It was him. It was the man from before. The one who'd torn the walls apart and hadn't seemed phased by Lake stabbing through his chest. He'd seemed invincible, and now...
She shuddered, and with another tug of the ghost, she snapped out of it. She turned, her hand clenched tightly around Lake's. Again, she'd forgotten she was holding it, but she wasn't about to let go, so as she turned and started back again, she ended up once more dragging him along.
"T-time to go. Quietly, just g-get out of here..." she whispered shakily against her hand. Hopefully it'd be too preoccupied by its meal to come after them. She didn't consider trying to help the guy. He was already dead. "Nn.. nice and slow..."
Becca had gotten her wish. She'd seen it, and now she was wishing she hadn't. She didn't know that man, but she was afraid. That thing had been eating him, tearing away at him. It was like an Animal Planet documentary, but worse. Even she had decided her curiosity was satisfied.
So as Kira announced the retreat, she quickly turned to obey, her expression rattled as one hand grasped Agro's fur absently, just seeking something to hold to. ♥ ☓ ♥

▲▼▲▼Aureolin Sen
He slumped against the wall wall, listening to the scuffle just a few feet away. The ceiling light flashed again. He slumped down and ran a hand through his matte hair. The ceiling light flashed again; this time, it started to make a low, whining noise before it flickered and died, leaving Aureolin in the dark. He closed his eyes, hoping to fall asleep and wake back up in his room, back at the academy, back away from these strange people, but deep down, he knew it wasn't going to happen. He shivered; he was being watched. He opened his eyes and he swore for a split second he saw something move in the corner of the room but nothing was there. Nothing, just an an empty dark feeling. He whispered inside his head as to not disturb the silence, Aureolin slowly cracked the door and slowly walked out, glancing over to Xanatos and Cage to make sure that they hadn't left.

Agro made no comment, and slinked away with the rest of the crew. This confirmed that that poor sap in the bathroom had his legs lunched, but actually seeing it happening was the most messed up thing ever. And he'd been around. He'd been all over the damn world. He's seen animals eat other animals but that was just something that stained his soul. The worst thing was the smell, ashes, blood, smoke and death. Lots of things he wasn't aware had smells that came to mind. They needed to get away. They also needed to do it quietly and quickly. He was also going to make sure that Red kept that hand there, he didn't want to have her get lost and have that thing find her.

.Lake. Lake stirred, but said nothing. For one bizarre moment, he had almost expected Kira to let go of his hand and run from him, as well...almost as if they all knew, they could all see...
He shook his head, and at last turned away from the sight, allowing Kira to pull him back in the opposite direction.
What...what IS this place?!
...Why...is she holding my hand?
He looked down, blinking. He knew there should be more pressing things on his mind, but...for all his sleezy remarks, he wasn't used to physical contact. Not like this.
Nobody had ever held his hand.
He glanced over at Agro and Becca after a moment, shaking himself from his stupor, to make sure they were moving too.
Everyone here is like a rat in a maze. Sooner or later...isn't it inevitable that we'll get picked off, one at a time?

"Fear. Fear is my ally." Xanatos waited... and he waited. And yet, there was no dead 'thud'; no scent of roasted flesh, no sudden corpse (unless remained invisible; but there would have still be a thud! Or a scent!). He frowned. She'd moved. For a moment, he looked for any sign of motion, anything at all... and then, suddenly, he heard her shout something from down the hallway.
The white-haired hellion blinked, his cannon-arm slowly slipping to his side before he glanced to Craig with a confused look.
"Are you Marco?" he asked, possibly the most sane, humane thing to come out of his mouth throughout the entire encounter. "I think she ran away. Maybe she got lost? Or maybe some guy named Marco's ravaging her porcelain fleshy mortal body..."
As he began to list the possibilities, his arm had slowly (and once again, almost gruesomely) return to a human arm, hand, fingers and all. After a moment, he shrugged and heaved a bored sigh-
- before turning around and throwing a quick bolt of lightning at Aureolin, grinning wildly.
"Well, you guys are boring. No food, no sex, not even a good fight. SAYONARA!"
He exploding into lightning, jolting into the fluorescent light above (and shattering it). A loud buzzing could be heard for a moment as he surged through the power grid, but no more light bulbs broke. Xanatos had left the building (metaphorically)."As you scream in terror...""I shall scream in p̡̼̩͔̘̟̱̝̮͒͑̆ͬ͟l̶̲̣̮̦̯̑̋e͚͈͍̤̟͓͛̓͌̍̈ͩͦ̚͜͞a̭̗͌͊̔̏͑s̫̯͇̞̞̣ͬ̇ͤ͂̈́̈ͮ͜͝ͅų̘̼̗͕̊͛͟r͙̹̙̣̤͖̗̐͂̃̉͋͑̃̈͜͞e͋̂͂ͯ̉͂̈́҉҉̡̛̩̬̟̻̞̞̞̹͎͙̘̪̠̤̩̦̳͉̙̲͍̰͐̍ͣ͋̔ͬ̑́ͧ̓ͥ͛̾̀̕͡."

ĸıɍą ☆ Ƥıēřċǝ_________________________☓☓☓Kira hurried away, her pace picking up again once she was back around the corner. Her hand was still clenched around Lake's, her expression grim. Every second, or possibly even more frequent, her head would jerk to stare over her shoulder, each time expecting to see the thing right behind her. She could see it, those teeth dripping red as it loomed over her and-
Her head lowered, jerking side to side as if to shake the image away. But no matter how she tried, it wouldn't leave her mind. The sight was burned into her eyes.
"L.. let me know if it follows..." she uttered anxiously, staring to an empty space to her side. She was sure she likely looked insane to the others, who wouldn't see what she was talking to, but she knew it was there... right?
Her free hand slipped from her mouth and nose and instead grasped at her head, tugging lightly at her own hair.
"Wha... what was that thing?" she asked suddenly, but her voice was faint, almost too low to be heard. But she had to break the tense silence.
Becca jumped, her head turning toward Kira. Her eyes blinked once, then stared behind her again. For once, she seemed out of things to say. Her hand was still curled around Agro's fur as she walked quietly at his side.
However, she too desired for the tension to fade, so she offered up a smile and a shrug. "Wow, kinda feels like a horror movie, right? Watch out, it's behind you! No, don't go upstairs! Don't open that door!" Still, her voice remained more hushed than normal, and the laughter she trailed into sounded more awkward than usual and quickly trailed off. ♥ ☓ ♥

▲▼▲▼Aureolin Sen
Just as he had turned his back, he heard that buildup of static, and swiveled in place to see Xanatos aiming straight for him. He dove as far away from where he was as he could, just as he heard the discharge of electricity. The bolt just passed over he him as Aureolin fell to the ground with a thud. He rose quickly and shouted,"WHAT DID I DO!"
With a flash though, Xanatos was gone and Sen was left yelling at a shadow of a shadow. "Who are you...Who...what was that? Where are we?" He inquired. This was one of the few times where he was left empty, without knowledge, and he didn't like it.
