I think it's a mixture of both. It was meant to be set in the 1930's-40's, probably, before the war, but we have more contemporary methods, I guess. ^.^
We're pretty flexible.

lol! ^^ Your Onee-chan will be someone in your guild. A head geisha or one of the lower geisha in the Okiya you have been assigned to. heart

Can we post twice or more times in a row when were in an RP and no one else is responding or RPing with you at the time.

Just wanted to apologize to Cuite_little_devil for not getting back with her more quickly.
Especially when one is surviving the maid experience and there's no one else on (or if there are, and they don't seem to be making you a part of their RPing at the moment), I think it's advisable to post twice or more times in a row. Posts that elaborate on your character's personality, thought processes, and history tend to be both the most useful to other RPers, and make for really interesting reading. (As well as writing, hehee!)

Okey my question for example when I become Maiko if I am invited to a party and it takes place... okey what if I am not online during that time? this is where I am confused...different users different times.

It's fine, don't worry about it. For the most part, it's a very slow process with a few post a day and your able to read the other's posts. So, if your a maiko and you go with your Onee-san to a party you'll be mainly just watching so you don't need to worry about how fast everything goes.

Hello, I know someone asked already about being a male geisha, but would anyone mind so much if, even though i am Biologcally male, that I play a female character? And, im not so positive on how to become a Patron still...its a bit confusing..
(This is a side note about Male Geisha... in Japan, if a man where to want to become a Geisha it would most of the time be allowed, because those "Men" where a form of Transgender, and it is not looked down upon in Japan. You dont hear about it much because people keep it out of the history books, (for example, when immigration became big to the US, there was a law that stated you could only immigrate here if you wernt Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgendered...Its true ::studies to much:: xD)
But my point is, if thies men really were trans, they would, though seldomly, be allowed to live in a private or out door sector of the Okiya, like an outdoor shed or something.
If you don't belive me, i will send you some info ^^ I make it a habbit to study Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgendered rights...)
Sorry for such a ling winded thing, i just thaught you ought to know, and you don't have to do AT ALL..., i was just clearing some stuff up, and because im a nerd...please dont hate me ^^;;

Oh, Don't worry. None of us hate you, at least I don't. As for male geisha's, In this guild it isn't allowed. (Although I allow it in mine, two okiya's) But, I do understand your question. So, If you would like to play a female character, then feel free to do so. There isn't anything wrong with that.
