XRedSamuraiX Dryfolius XRedSamuraiX Yes, against Orks vehicle mounted Rail Rifles would be your saving Grace. Those things would whack whole squads of Orks easily...it's not even fair, I don't understand why they don't scatter. However, your kroot definately aren't going to hold Orks off long, and problably will just be a sacrifice of points, even at 7 points your going to need quite a few of them to take any orks with you. Pulse Rifles would be great too, along with stealth suits and burst cannons. Put your elites on those, don't be an idiot and bring the maximum amount of Crisis Suits you can...they're AP weapons are pointless here. Unfortuantely, you may have to watch out for his bikes, and killer kans are annoying. Eh, and also more bad news...they're Big Shootas (AP5 Heavy bolters, burst cannons at 24") And Rokkit Launchers (S:8 Ap3) are both assualt for some reason. It's extremely annoying though. Luckily with a 2 balistic skill they won't be hitting alot (unless of course your fighting colt.) What makes you think i would be an idiot? lol, 2 troops of kroot, 2 troops of fireworriors, a hammerhead, a Crissis suit for a HQ 2 crissis suits for body guards. and a broad side. Thats it. i think, i need to think that over tho. but hey, so far, i think i will need more fireworriors, becuase im going to need them the most for my plan to work. they will probably have lost of troops... but here is one quesion, before i go on any further. Do they have fearless? Don't worry, I wasn't calling you an idiot. Although against Orks, I'd bring more Firewarriors and less kroot if I were you. Orks however are not Fearless, but they do have a special rule that not only lets them roll if they fail a leadership, and any score equal to or less than the number of Orks, they stay anyway, they also have another chance to "mob-up" with the nearest squad (within 6" after moving towards closest squad using fall back distance.) by passing a leadership, and then they become part of that squad. Hehe well, see, the thing is, Pinning tests, thats why i was asking, another way to hold these little green skins off with. in less, i get some path finders, equiped with rail rifles. hehe... causes pinning if hit... since there AS sucks...6+?

Yes, well I saw the story you posted...that did suck. Like I said Necrons and Tau don't mix. That pinning does sound like a good idea though, Orks only have a 7 leadership, and with that they won't get the "mob up" rule. So ya, go with that too that do some damage. Plus, Rail Rifles would be 2+ wound against Orks so.

OKay well it really depends on what game you are playing. But for a normal game, with 6 turns and the only objective is to kill the other player then you just take the points for the units you have left on the field and any units you had killed from your enemies team. It is a little more complicated then that but the basic run down is what I said above. Also Independent characters don't count.

Ohh, thats cool, get Aun'shi running aruond, and he wont count as a casualty... i get that right? but uhh... i will probably have more questions due to my lack of not having the rule book... as of now, i just remembered, how does deep strike work?

For deep striking, you role in reserves as follows... Turn 2: 4+ Turn 3: 3+ Turn 4: 2+ Turn 5: Auto
When you pass your reserve, or get to turn 5, you may bring that unit into play. You place the Leader of the squad any where you choose on the table, and role the scatter dice. If a hit is scored, you may place him there. If an arrow is scored, you scatte 2d6 in the direction indicated. Whether you score a hit or not, where ever your leader is places all other models are then placed in a base-touching circle around that model. No over laping until 1 full circle is completed. If any models go off the table edge, or land within 1" of an enemy unit, those models are destroyed. If the squad leader model you scattered with goes off the edge, or through impassible terrain, then the whole squad...explodes?
