Wow! This is weird!! We've lived in this house almost 3 months, and I just met my next door neighbor who I share a wall with, and it's an old high school friend of mine who I actually went to elementary school and middle school with too! We were in the same grade, the same classes, and now we're neighbors and didn't even know it! Now I feel less uptight about the noise we make or upsetting our next-door neighbor!

MysticfawN Wow! This is weird!! We've lived in this house almost 3 months, and I just met my next door neighbor who I share a wall with, and it's an old high school friend of mine who I actually went to elementary school and middle school with too! We were in the same grade, the same classes, and now we're neighbors and didn't even know it! Now I feel less uptight about the noise we make or upsetting our next-door neighbor! more evidence of how small this world is xd My sister works in a hotel in Ashland, VA (just outside of Richmond, VA) and the other day someone checked in that came from Grosse Ile, MI (about 10 minutes from our hometown of Wyandotte) so she mentioned this to him and thru the course of him telling her people he worked with it came to light that our mother used to work for him a few years ago at a shipping company around here. As a matter of fact, my dining table was a gift from him. And a few months ago the old principal of our Elementary school also stayed at the same hotel. Crazy, huh?

i love it when things like this happen. i used to work with someone who'd lived on the same road as me when we were growing up in a town 200 miles away from here, that was very surreal when we realised.
and one of the newer Purkles on neo lives just down the road from me!

Happy Mother's Day this weekend to all the mothers out there!
Jade came home with a Mother's Day card she'd made in preschool (it had her picture inside, and I can see where she tried to write her name! I see her upsidedown J, and her a, at least. Oh, did I mention she can now type her name on the keyboard without help?! I joked to Jaz that she might learn to type her name before writing it, but I didn't think it would happen so soon!) And Jade had a gift for me from preschool too, all wrapped up in pink paper with a pink ribbon. It's a wooden wall hanger that she painted purple (my favorite color!) and it has colorful spongey hearts and circles glued on and it says MOM, and it has a silky purple ribbon to hang it with! I love it! I cried when I saw both of them. heart I'm going to hang it in my kitchen. *tearful*
This weekend I want to go to the zoo. We haven't been in a while, and I think it would be a great way to enjoy Mother's Day!

hope you Mommies out there are getting made a fuss of this weekend. seems odd to me thinking of mother's day this weekend as ours is in March. May is a much nicer time of the year for it, but i think the english one is worked out on some religious basis, as it was early this year and so was Easter.
i'm off to stack out the market place now as i'm after an angelic camisole so look out for an outfit change from the this evening xd

hmm, someone seems to have it in for me today. i have Purkley things to do outside, but every time i poke my nose out of the door it starts raining on me sad
i had a mad dash to the supermarket and back and just got in the door as the heavens opened, so i thought i'd put the kettle on.
just as i sat down with my cup of tea and slice of cake the sun came out! grrrr.
it's raining again now though so it looks like i'm stuck in for the rest of the day!
i shall do some research now and try and find out how long my purkle package will take to cross the pond.
everyone needs to keep their fingers crossed for me(all week mind) so i can have some sunshine next Sunday to finish off my task.
