Anime or not, I prefer the european weapons as opposed to any others. After all, it was them who lead on to conquest the world with the strength of steel.
I mean, despite popular belief, katanas do NOT cut through plate mail, trees, cars, or anything else like that. You're bound to run into some hefty damage if you run into a german with a greatsword, specially if he's go at axe laying about somewhere.
Oh well, people see Kenshin and go nuts. I swear. Silly people...

The same reason I help out anyone who catches my interest really. I try to let it all be water under the bridge we burnt. Muddy water riddled with ash and corpses, that will one day be clean again as time passes. Only then, might the bridge be rebuilt.
A faltering friendship, as it were. No need to leave it for dead.
(Especially with my uber-necromancy skills! The dead can and will be raised! xd )

Hehe, it's so funny to see all these samurai wanna-bes walking around thinking that they can basicly kung-fu my character because she's clad in steel and can't dodge bullets like they can. Only after they dedicate themselves to battle do they realize that their speedy attacks don't do more then scuff my armor, and since they're totally unarmored I just have to catch them once with my sword and they're dead.
Funny that you'd make mention of a German with a broadsword. Heswina's sword and armor were crafted in present day Germany smile The Alte Kraft.

Even at a mere glance, look at those damn swords. They are made to kill people who are walking tanks, that means they'll cleave through your pathetic wooden armor with as much ease as they do your paper walls. Honestly, nothing against asians or their culture, but they were soundly outdone by europe on every count.
I mean, these swords are made to hit the neck, the weakest area of old armor. That is, these things are meant to bust through metal and take off your head. Sometimes they'd swung like baseball bats, but that doesn't make them any less a sword.
What we lost in finesse we made up for with rapiers and pistols, as well as hats. Europe made a whole shitload of hats, mostly to make up for our brute style of combat. The banners and such made us look spiffy, but really we knew we were just marching tanks.
I say us and we because I'm white, and directly have blood ties to england. heart A sea won't seperate me from my destiny, my blood-derived urge to enslave anyone who isn't as pale as I.
I'm not racist, I'm realistic. The whites pwned EVERYONE's asses.
There's no denying it, and I think it's racist to try to. Blame it on cheapness, climate, whatever the hell you want. Long story short, I'm proud to be white, and being proud to be white isn't being racist.
I think I lost track of the original point...

Good old explosives. Really, even europe was scared of having those go off near them. Everyone is, it's a fricken bomb!

yea, europe was the overpowering area the lase few hundred years, but before theat, before most armor was made there many asian cultures were far more advanced, and before that look twords the mid-east... every culture has had its up points.... if it didnt it was simply forgotten adn destroyed... simple survival

Indeed. Way way back, some other notable areas took over huge portions, such as Rome and it's empire. Asia had a lot of sciences going on, like seismetology and stuff.
However, europe simply raped and pilaged anything we couldn't make ourselves. Much like the english language. whee
