Gloryrness watched at Straven. There was no way he could still fight now.
"He seems to hate the light. Oi. In my time, We had to deal with one of these too. Priests sprinkled it with the water, and said some holy words. We then buried it deep in the mines. And made sure it'd never get out..
I'm not sure if there are any of those here though.... You could say I haven't really seen much of the scenery the past few years."
He said.

______________

Straven crawled up. He had little to no more power.
He leaned against one of the houses that still stood.
He had to regain power... Looking at Salem.
Stretching his arm towards it, but nothing came out of it.

(( Actually. Let's have Straven survive until the hide-out. He'll attack once more when Cobra and Gloryrness least expect it. But then get struck as Salem saw it coming. He'll fall to the ground. But Cobra and Gloryrness will bring him to the hideout once the battle is done.
He'll die in that hideout. smile ))

Havessa was confused at the comment about her making the scale float in mid air, but that was the same as that vision she just had. And that feeling she had when it happened was the same as when she fell off the roof. Could that be the key to unlocking these abilities? Havessa listened intently on the conversation at hand. Everyone needed armor, and these scales would provide some, but....

"Ace?" She began... waiting to get his attention again.

"These scales seem almost as hard as diamond, how are you going to shape them into armor without wrecking them?" She recalled another faint memory, not nearly as prominent, all the talk about molding and shaping materials had brought it on.

The man's speech was strange, and he definitely looked abnormal, that much was known, but he seemed to know a fair amount about war and fighting, at least the breadth of his experience involved sealing away a large demon. when the man mentioned the mine however, a thought jumped into Cobra's head..."Well, there are no mines around here...but that doesn't mean that there won't be!" sheathing his sword into the scabbard on his back, Cobra took several seconds as the creature slowly regained its form, pulling itself up out of the puddle. Stretching his hands out, Cobra summoned a large amount of power to him as the ground began to tremble in all directions around him. The aura was feeding him an immense amount of power from the surrounding area...it was helpful that there was so much death, but the pain was started to wrack his body and this would be his last attack with the aura, or he would fall unconscious when it went away.

...as time passed the creature was starting to take form again, but by now, Cobra had well communed with the earth and the tremors felt before soon began to erupt into large earthquakes in the area...causing the ground to split open in several places and for rubble from houses in the area to shake violently. No doubt the people in the sewers themselves would also feel the tremors, though they were far enough away to be largely affected. Looking up to Gloryness, Cobra could be seen focusing a large amount of energy into this attack, but he was clearly struggling with containing it..."I need more time...and I need him standing still...this will take slightly longer then it will for him to regenerate if he continues at this rate...this has to be perfect.

Gloryrness did not respond to what Cobra shouted. Instead, as soon as he saw Cobra making the mines, He had summoned three inscripted plates.
Gloryrness was reading from them. These were the words that the priests said. It was an ancient language, but Gloryrness was confident that it'd work.

Straven looked at the monster that was once Salem.
Straven's vision was bad, he saw everything vague.
He could barely see who as who.
He stood up. A barely audible "Urrrghhh" coold be heard.
Collecting the last bit of energy he had, he held his sword.
Slowly chargin electricity trough it, His body too sparked slightly.

Taking a huge jump, Straven flew trough the air. His sword crossing trough the monster's 'head'. The electricity shrinking it a bit.
Straven, however. Landed on the opposite side of Salem. Flat on the ground.
He had no more energy to move.

(( Forget it. A final strike should be given. He'll die..... here. On the streets of Paris, where it all began ))

Ace shook his head.
He had learned this when he was young..But he completely forgot it. How could he? He had to find a way. He could ask, but what would people think of him then?

"You'll see"
He said, smiling.

Not really the answer Havessa wanted to hear, she gazed back down at the scale, still on her lap, a little disappointed grunt slipped past her lips, only very subtle and quietly. Taking a deep breath in, she recalled the feeling before, and tried to concentrate on that. Sure enough, it began to build up inside her, she could feel this energy moving through her and as she stared at the scale, it began to quiver and shake. A crease formed between her eyebrows out of concentration and very slowly, the scale began to float again in the air, but this time, she was completely aware of it.

((The whole scale thing reminds me of the movie Dragon Wars.))

Sam cursed loudly as he dropped a bucket on his foot and kicked it at the door to the sewer tunnels.
He shook his head and turned to Ace "I've found wrought((Iron)) but it's all in the bed frames" he said and sighed, turning to one of the Orphans "does anyone here know where there's an armory!?" he shouted and looked through the crowd.
Sam snapped his fingers c'mon! Help me out here! I'm one of the good guys!" he said and simply waited for a reply.

((Thymen, since you know this place better than anyone else I'm gonna need some info, namely; the location of an armory, or at least a stock-house))

The mine was almost complete now. Even Cobra didn't know how deep it was at this point, he had lost count of the distance after the first mile, he just kept focusing his energies on dropping the floor while simultaneously shifting the earth and stone away into the surrounding surfaces. He was very careful to avoid any sewer pathways of other major pockets in the earth, but the rock and stone had to go somewhere, and so he was constantly throwing it and combining it with the ground to the side, which was the cause of the immense tremors in the area. The creature was almost nearly re-formed at this point, and as Cobra looked up, he was worried he wouldn't make it. Gloryness was doing what he could with his incantation, probably some sealing technique by what he had spoken of earlier...but Cobra knew nothing of the man's strange element or powers.

...when the beast was reformed, Cobra heard a roar that pulsated an uncomfortable wave through his body, but then was surprised to see Straven leap from nowhere and drive his sword directly into the beast's head. Cobra would never have thought he could have summoned that energy from anywhere, he had assumed him as out for the count, but it would seem that Straven's determination was greater then he had ever thought. The creature wasn't expecting it either apparently, as Straven's attack succeeded to distract it and cause it stumble again, but not before it managed to create a claw like protrusion that scraped across Straven's chest, causing him to bleed greatly as he crashed to the ground.

"Now! Seal it!" , just as Cobra screamed the words, the floor beneath the creature burst open, leading down miles into the ground as the creature tried to clamor out of the rubble. It soon found itself completely restricted as Gloryness' incantation held it fast as the creature was helplessly dragged down into the nearly bottomless chasm beneath it. The creature screamed as it fell, clamoring at the seal, but helpless as it fell into the darkness of the makeshift mine..."I Can Never Die!!! I WILL BE BACK!", but the sound was soon drowned out as Cobra slid several layers of tomb-like slabs of stone over the top of the mine shaft, continuing the same type of slabs every 20 ft down for at least 25 layers to assure that no one would be able to dig far enough down to uncover any part of it on their own, or fall into it by accident.

The battle finally over, Cobra dropped his arms and the aura around him dissipated. He fell to his knees and immediately felt completely drained, but was able to keep himself upright at least. It could not be seen past his sleeves, but his left arm would be completely disabled, hanging limp at his side and colored a deep purple/blackened color. Marks, veins, and strange symbols of the same color would cover his entire left side of his body for the next few days and be a constant drain on him, and his arm would be unusable for about that same period of time. Crawling over to Straven slowly, Cobra looked over the man, looking for some sign of life, but the man's breathing had all but stopped, and he could see no real hope for him, but he would wait until the last second he would draw breathe...it was the least he could do for the man who had given his life for the cause.

Straven slowly opened his eyes. He tried to catch breath, but was barely able to do so.
Straven's vision was blurry. He could only see vague colours.
"Cobra....? I-is it....is it you?
Please... tell me it's over...?"
He said. In a barely audible whisper.

His eyes closed. And while doing so, another whisper was heard.
"Ple-ease.........." He paused "look after my children"

(( Children referring to those in the hideout, and the other citizens ofcourse.))
(( Straven saw himself as the protected of the citizens. Especially the poor. ))

"I haven't seen one while looking for the scales.. "

Ace was about to speak, but the ground began to shake (Read Cobra's post) and Ace fell over. So did several things that hung on the walls.
The flames of the torches flickered. But they 'survived'
Ace heard metal clanging against eachother, and falling to the ground.

Suddenly, an idea appeared in Ace's head.
"Maybe..Just maybe... I came across this room with several costumes. Including two, real, knight armors. We could go get some food. And pass by the blacksmith. We won't even need money!"
